You know, I never really thought about why that would be such a great feature until you mentioned it this way. This is a major reason why I stick to my Xbox with multi-platform equal games - no 20 min install and updates are a pita on ps3. Xbox is rarely over 2 mins to get into a game - unless you opt to install, and then you can do it whenever you want, not mandatory and before playing a game.

That being said, I would be happy with simply a d-load/update structure similar to the current 360.

Eh, just sucks for people without a PS3. The existing IGC is good, it's been there a while though. I'd like to see them support the Vita more so more people would buy it is all, I mean at least if they ain't giving away a free game, might as well discount some stuff.
 
I added the GoW games and they came up with the "free" ps + logo but when I go to checkout, it says Total Price $29.98

Didn't charge me. I had $2 dollars on my account prior and still have $2 dollars on there.

Three Vita games are on sale or had their price dropped permanently this week and there are four Vita games coming for PS+ people this month. Four Vita games were on sale last week.
 
I managed to get GoW 2 for free, and watched the price of GoW go from free to 14.99 as I added it, so I removed it from my cart. Now they are both showing at 14.99. Oh well, I caught one of them. :)

I managed to get them both! I got the platinum for both from when I had the HD collection, but If I ever get the itch for some GOW it's nice that the'll be there.

Didn't charge me either. Both showed free on checkout.
Both are back up to normal price now.

Deleted CC from PSN incase they come back retroactively to try to charge.
 
I swear it did this with the Pinball Arcade tables that came out today. Had $0.77 in my wallet and it still went through. Wonder what else this glitch is affecting?

EDIT: That totally charged my wallet for those. Damnit lol. Those of you who didn't add funds, check your transaction history. Even though it didn't ask, it's showing a wallet charge for those games.
 
Got GOW II for free just like 5 minutes ago, the first one showed Full Game Trial only. I wanted both! ): They should both be free for PS+ members though IMO.

As I've suggested / said a few times now, I think this is just one of the replacements for LBP 2, inFAMOUS 2 and All 4 One. EU is getting new games in June and we got these games during E3, so it makes sense they would replace them. Needless to say, God of War 1 and 2 might not be my first choice of free games, but they would certainly make a LOT of people happy and are of the same caliber as those free games.
 
You'll likely read this and not care, but I thought it was pretty cool...

First time I turned on my ps3 in months (Still have PS+) because I was at my college, and I go to the PS store. Open up the PS+ stuff to see what was up and I notice that those two are both free. Thought to myself "You know, I may not play these games.. but on the off chance I want to, I might as well download and cancel download so I "have" them."

Sheer dumb luck that I get them without realizing it was a mistake ^_^
 
Honestly if I hadn't clicked on GameFAQ's PS3 board by accident I'd probably have missed out altogether, but as it happened I grabbed them about half an hour before they went down.
 
Sweeping Dogs took forever to download, then the damn 1 GB update. Haha. Was pleasantly surprised though with the few included DLCs.

Can't wait to play this!

I wasn't asking for confirmation that it was real, as I saw it for myself. I just wanted confirmation that it was dead since it no longer said it was free on that page, but it might've been different for me since I already owned the games before this.

Are you kidding? Another 1 GB update? It's going ridiculously slow for me. It started off bad, went up to respectable speed for 10 minutes, and dropped back down. It's like I have bottom tier DSL tonight when it comes to PSN. Everything else is fine. I guess I'm playing Sleeping Dogs tomorrow.

It's all downloaded for me now, but yeah, it was like 210 minutes at one point, then went to 90, then back and forth a few time. Took over a couple hours anyway, THEN the 1 GB update upon starting the game. :(
 
Wait, I didn't know that Sleeping Dogs came with DLC. :bouncy: Can anyone confirm if it includes the one that helps max out your triad level?!

You could just "buy" the free game. Then cancel the main game download and grab the 3 dlc packs separately which then show up as free.

I don't normally get PS+ releases on Tuesdays, but when I do it's noticeably slower. Tonight is worse than I've ever seen it, about 1/30th the speed that Steam downloaded a game 20 minutes before the PS Store updated. This assures I wouldn't want to buy a day one game on PSN instead of retail.

Thanks I will do that instead, I haven't fired up my ps3 yet I always wait until wednesday to download all the ps+ stuff since the download speeds on tuesday nights are always really slow for me
