Does anyone know if it's possible to get the flOw DLC to work with the version that came with Journey Collector's Edition?  I don't want to purchase the PSN version just for some DLC, but I've been unable to find out if people can run the DLC with the newest version. :/

Has anyone had success stacking another year of the PS+ discounted Music Unlimited Premium on top of an existing Music Unlimited Premium subscription? I'm getting a "not available for purchase" notice, with a "tell me more" button that says I've already purchased Premium. Funny this doesn't stack like additional months/years of PS+ membership.

Well Amazon Warehouse Deals has it for $25.76 right now, in like new condition.
Yeah, I've been looking at that and the resale value does offset the price difference... if the online pass happens to work. Otherwise that's another $10 an goes beyond killing it since the long term value is in playing the things that everyone else makes. There's also 5 of them available so no idea what that indicates.

Bad idea to get LBP Vita used, it has an online pass.
Oops, my bad. I did not know that.

wonder if they will change in NOV or if they will wait till 2014 or even change them...

not much even out on the vita to toss up 3 more FREE major games if they keep tossing a new game every month or so ...

Though i could see

hot shots golf

tennis

raymen (though i say this is free come july or aug)

Road trip

love to see eitehr

silent hill or

Ragnarok Odyssey

If anyone else got a code during E3 for a free UK trial of Plus I just noticed that there are Ni No Kuni and Joruney dynamic themes that doesn't appear to be on the NA store.  They're both basically just concept art slide show but the Journey one is still awful pretty, though neither will be unseating the Okami theme from HK.  Still, they're nice to have available at least.  There's also a few other interesting artsy themes depending on your taste that I didn't see on the NA store.

The first episode of the TMNT Nickelodeon show is free and that theme I mentioned earlier is free until 6/25.

Hey Frisky, just wanted to let you know that the free Alice link in the OP doesn't seem to work. Thanks for all or your hard work in updating these deals every week!

This isn't free anymore for you?

That Alice link you posted doesn't work. Page is not available.

That's the URL that should be linked, but it destroys and cuts off the "cid=UPXXXXXXXX" part of it for whatever reason.

Edit: Just removed all of the EA online passes from the OP anyway since they've been there for a week already. No sense fucking around with it.

Is it too late to do that JPN PS+ trial? I'd like to get the okami wallpaper.
Should still be available, I think.

(Not to be nitpicky, but it's the Asian PS+ instead of the Japanese PS+, which is another region and has different games. Make sure you sign up with your address being in Hong Kong or elsewhere in the Asian region, not in Japan, or else it won't work.)

Yes, it is! Valid until June 24th. There are a bunch of free games, and the list is below. Here's the link with the 2-week free trial code. Have fun. Enjoy!

Here are the free things currently available at the Hong Kong Plus store:

Soul Sacrifice Dynamic Theme

Fuel Overdose full game (PS3)

Jet Set Radio full game (PS3)

Kung-Fu Live full game (PS3 eye-toy)

Ridge Race full game (Vita)

Shinobido 2 full game (Vita)

Tekken 5 Dark Resurection Online (PS3)

Tekken 6 Vita

The House of the Dead 4 60-minutes trial (PS3)

Disgaea: Hour of Darkness (PS3)

Soldner-X 2 (PS3)

Virtual Tennis 4: World Tour Edition (Vita)

Orgarhythm (Vita)

Datura (PS3)

Sangokuhime (Vita)

Sonic Adventure the Dreamcast game (PS3)

Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack (Vita)

Unit 13 (Vita)

Uncharted: Golden Abyss (Vita)

Now that is quite a list of free games.

Is it too late to do that JPN PS+ trial? I'd like to get the okami wallpaper.

Hotline Miami was ok, I didn't like that later levels required continuous, precision, rapid fire shooting, and rapid gun switching in order to clear. Hopefully they'll add the ability to quit and save mid-mission at each floor as some of those later levels I would spent 40 minutes getting through the first floor and then be unable to quit until I finished the mission else I would have to start all over again.

The only part I didn't like the "pacing" on was the
hospital section where you had to stealth through with way too little room for error
at the end.

Hmm...so they added Fuel Overdose, Kung Fu Live, and a couple other things yesterday? That's not very impressive to me, no reason to log back into my account and download anything else. Thanks for posting the list though.

You're welcome!  Anytime.  Hopefully, next week they'll have more.  The deadline is the 24th, so you can just make another HK account on the 23rd for another 2 weeks trial to see what else they have in store for us.

They add stuff every week? Based on this list I figured they wouldn't add anything until 7/16.
I would assume that they won't be because that list said until 6/19 up until yesterday as the end date.

So many free games this month, I really need to upgrade from a 250GB HD. Though after finishing The Last of Us, I barley have any motivation to play other games just because it was so damn good. Easily beat out Bioshock Infinite as the best game of this gen so far imo.

Naught Dog is a master at crafting brilliant, brilliant games.

I, too, just upgraded my 160 GB Slim HDD to a WD 500 GB one. After the upgrade, the 500 GB HDD has 460 GB of usuable space, and only 415 GB of available storage space, which is expected, as a reference guide.

Were there any QTEs? Cause uh...pretty sure there were. *looks at your signature* ;)

I know nothing about Hotline Miami other than the positive buzz it seemed to get around here and on other sites. Is this going to be cross buy?

Also, I would not say that The Last of Us has QTEs, unless you count pounding a button to escape a hold or whatever a QTE (games have been doing that forever).

Yeah I know, it was just a joke centered at the quote in his signature about Disney dvds haha. Obviously it fell flat on it's face though.

To sum it up in a sentence it's the Super Meat Boy of brutal murder puzzle games set in the 1980's. It's shockingly hard, disturbingly brutal, the graphics are not meant to be pretty, the music is amazing, the controls are tight and there's actually depth behind the unsettling brutality. It's played as an action game but it's actually really a puzzle game. If you played Super Meat Boy and enjoyed that tough but fair fail to learn type of game play this is in that same vein and achieves that same sort of buttery bliss when you find your stride. The only game that I played last year that even challenged it for best thing I played last year was Thirty Flights of Loving which is about as opposite a game as you can get.

Okay, that sounds right up my alley. The fact that it's cross buy (thanks, Frisky) and $9.99 (seemingly confirmed by that comment Frisky linked) makes it a definitie day 1 purchase.

I really shoukd seek therapy to rid myself of trophy/achievement "hunting". It has definitely ruined some games a little for me. At the very least I need to let collectible achievements go. I wish developers would just give in game bonuses for those type of activities. I do not play SP games through twice that often so I usually go for collectibles right away and it can ruin the flow of the game.

Man my HP touchpad web os browser does not like CAG 3.0. I can barely see what I am typing.
I really don't understand the appeal of collectibles. I'm playing Sniper Elite V2 right now and there are two different types of collectibles. I generally only use a guide when there's no way of tracking your progress on collectibles or if they're tiny and the levels are pretty huge so I'm using a guide for these, and I hate "having" to.

I wish I didn't care about trophies either because I would have way less of a backlog but I get a huge sense of accomplishment whenever I get those platinums.
I don't get the appeal at all from trophy whoring. The whole huge sense of accomplishment thing just makes it sound like you're a failure in the real world, and you're compensating by collecting virtual trophies. Not saying you are, just saying that's how I view you, and others like you
I don't collect trophies, but your post is a bit more concerning than the one you quoted. Judgmental people usually have their own set of deficiencies.

Do the LBP level packs play on the Vita version, i.e. if I buy the Marvel level pack will I be able to play it on my Vita via LBP Vita?

Thanks.
Yea, it is definitely a Day 1 purchase for me as well. Jak & Daxter, Muramusa and now Hotline, all released in the span of 7 days. Wish I had more time to play the Vita than I do.

About the Hong Kong PS+...  what is the advantage to getting it?  You get 2 weeks of games, then lose them... correct?  Still learning the tricks of the PS+.  Love it though!  Tons of free games!!

The way Plus works is as long as you have a subscription, you can play the games. So lets say you had downloaded some free games when you had a subscription, 2 weeks later your subcription has expired, and you no longer have access to those free games anymore. But then you decided that you wanted to renew your subscription to download and play some newer offers. Well, this will allows you to be able to play those games that you had download before as well. Of course, if you want to continue playing the Hong Kong Plus games after the 2-week trial, you'll need to purchase the Hong Kong Plus subscription. I hope that clears Plus up for you.

It's that there's an exclusive animated Okami theme that's pretty sweet and that even once the HK PS+ expires you can keep using it. admiralvic tells me that this has since been removed but that was the main reason we were signing up for it.

Does The Last Of Us come with a manual? The steelbook in the Survival Edition does not have one so I was just wondering.

The standard version comes with a digital manual

Can anyone recommend any of the Deus Ex dlc? I'm not interested in Missing Link. I'm mostly wondering if the cheaper dlc is worth it to upgrade your character from the start because I may do a run through on the hardest difficulty,

The tactical pack is all stuff you can get in game pretty quick. The explosive mission pack at least gets you a tiny extra mission to do, though I don't think either is particularly worth while having had them for free with the PC version.

Not saying you are, just saying that's how I view you, and others like you
I don't even understand this. Collecting virtual trophies is somehow different from collecting "real" trophies. I have plenty of that crap from my days as a college track athlete and guess what? They are basically as meaningful to others as an achievement from a video game. I have no idea why you would think someone who collects trophies/achievements is a failure in the real world. In fact, part of my personality that has allowed me to accomplish "real world" goals are the same things that drive trophy hunting. Your post is way off base.
