Since I had a spare two bits in my PSN wallet, I decided to get Flow last night. Nice, calming game. Just what I needed to sooth & distract me from all the water that crept into my basement overnight. Definitely recommended for only $1.44.

i dont know when it started or is going to end but you can download PlayMemories Studio (not the trial key) for free as a plus member

i found this on the PS3 US PSN store inside the apps>all apps section

Temporary solution to the brick-firmware below for those who can't wait until Thursday. You'll need your old (stock) HDD and a USB drive. I tested this and it worked for me. :) Downside is that you'll be using your old, small HDD until Thursday, but it's better than having no PS3 at all.

1. Install your old (stock) hard drive
2. Download the 4.45 update and put it on your USB drive in a X:/PS3/UPDATE/ folderhttps://sites.google...e445update/home
3. Boot the ps3 into safe mode, and use Option 6 (install update) to install 4.45 onto the hard drive.

The downside, of course, is having to use your old/small hard drive. Better than no PS3 at all, though. Other than that, everything is working fine, PSN included.
I wouldn't do that unless you are sure the PS3 won't prompt you to reformat the hard drive with the bricked firmware when you put it back in.
I don't see why it would. It didn't ask me to reformat my small HDD when I put it in, and now both HDDs are on the same firmware.

Were you able to put the bricked-firmware hard drive back in and have everything work again(with all original content)?
I didn't try putting my bigger hard drive back in. Firmware 4.45 doesn't support it, so the result would almost definitely be the same (a bricked screen) until Sony releases their new firmware on Thursday. I'm just rocking my smaller hard drive until then.

Yeah that was what I was worried about. When you put the bricked-firmware hard drive back in, it might require a reformat before it can re-install the new firmware update.

Farsight, makers of Pinball Arcade, have a new Kickstarter going for the Terminator 2: Judgment Day table.
Woohoo! Not a bad table to convert, very nice. I really wish the Julia Estate would ease the hell up a bit on the image licensing so they can finally move forward with Addams Family table. Its a pretty damn far stretch calling it a new use license, since just rehashing pre-existing properties.

Hell I'd hate to think the licensing cost of the Simspson Springfield table would be. /cringe

Man. I should of grabbed Sound Shapes when it was on sale. I regret that. :(

Oh well, It will probably be on PS Plus in the future.

Grabbing Flow & Flower. I'm not particular interested in either of them but at that price tag there's no excuse.

Either way, it has been quite a fantastic month for Plus members.
Tell me about it. I sat here in what is the best PSPlus month in memory... and I don't have it. Don't have access to my PS3 system either, not for a little while longer. Usually, I don't mind missing sales, but looking at what has transpired on PSPlus recently....

There's always the web store if you need to buy something on sale or claim a PS+ game before you have access to the system.

argh, Sony doesn't want my money.   After that super cheap trial with Music Unlimited last year, my wife and i fell in love with it... just tried to re-up and it won't let me because i already own it.

anyone know if that is that a limitation of this sale, or is it a store mistake?  seems like they should take my money if i try to give it to them, right?

Same boat for me : They won't let me re-up for another year of Music Unlimited since I bought the $12 last November.  I'd happily pay $42 for another year, but it seems they want to block me from extending my subscription.  Bummer.

So I guess us $12 Music Unlimited subscribers are at the mercy of whatever the yearly rate is when are subscriptions expire? That, or we pay month-to-month until the next deal rolls around?

Any thoughts on Muramasa? Watched a few vids and it looked interesting, just not sure of length or value.
It's supposed to be an upgraded version of the Wii game which is considered one of the best on the system but I only know that second hand. Will pick it up myself when there's a sale.

Slidecage's is alright, and it was really only a couple of guys playing around.  It must be hot where they are.

But since the farmer's bill was bought up, I'm glad they voted that one down.  All that subsides are really making our milk, butter, feed, meat and evry other food product more expensive.  They wanted more ethanol in our gasoline (up to 15% now from 10% currently).  That would make corn more expensive, leading to an increase in feed and cost for people putting food on the table for their families, leaving less money to purchase awesome PSN drops.  See what I did there.  Everyone just chill!

Hilarious name for the platinum trophy!

Aw man it got deleted? It should have been kept for evidence for future generations to see the moment where he finally snapped
Damn I missed something good...

I'm not getting my hopes up for the Deadpool game since it's the third licensed Activision game of the year whose MSRP is below $60. The other two games? The bad The Walking Dead and Fast & Furious games. On Metacritic, these are the two worst retail games of the year for Xbox 360 with only the bad Double Dragon II game beating them out for the worst overall. The bright spot in the hopes for it being a good game is that High Moon Studios is behind it, though they could've thrown a B-team on this while working on something more promising.

Still has to have good sarcastic trophy names! You know what kind of quality to expect when an even decent Deadpool game would have been all over every site all week and you wouldn't even know it was coming out this week without seeing the release date.

I think the only thing I've seen of the game is Deadpool holding a banana and it popping out for some reason. To say that they're not really marketing it hard is an understatement.

My favorite table of all time. Abar near me promised to hold it for me til i get a fitting home. Needless to say kickstarted

That's too bad about Deadpool.  There's so much potential there, but they should have never given the license to Activision.  The game about to be released, yet there's hardly any advertisement or info on the game.  The last game that had these dubious distiction was Aliens: Colonial Marines, and we all know how that piece of turd turned out.

I dont know I'm hoping Deadpool turns out decent at least and I may buy it if so. Looks goofy so as long as the gameplay doesn't suck I'll probably buy it.

I'm kind of upset I didn't get to see what slidecage had to say. I bet it was interesting.

PSN Maintenance Scheduled for Tuesday, June 25th

Our teams worked hard over the weekend to ensure that this update can be released later tonight (night of June 24). This will allow you to hop into the store tonight ahead of tomorrow’s store update post, and pick up your purchases prior to the Tuesday downtime. Since this is an early update, be sure to take advantage of any current sales now, while you can. We recognize that Tuesdays aren’t the best day for these, but it was required. As noted, we did our best to ease the pain that this may cause.

Anyone that picked up Journey Collector's Edition, are flOw and Flower on-disc or PSN codes? Debating if I should grab them now or wait for another deal on Journey CE.

Oh my God. All of you better pick up Hydrophobia for fucking 60 cents. They are basically prostituting themselves at this point. The game is actually pretty good if you think of it as a last-generation game.

I'll pick up Escape Plan for that price. Was it that price last time it was on sale? I passed on it that time thinking, but if it was the same price, I'm not sure why I would have passed.

I'm also really excited for Zero Escape despite never playing, but always wanting to, 999.

Thanks for the list, RPG. I can't believe we're getting Zero Escape. That is such a great game, a very pleasant Plus release this week for those who have a Vita.

Anyone know how much Muramasa will be? I've only played a little bit on the Wii but it was fun and will probably buy it. It's going to look amazing on the Vita screen.

It's $40 on Amazon, so at best it'll be $35.99 on PSN.

The best people got it for free from PS+.

Does anyone know of a way to buy an item you'd previously gotten free in IGC?

Escape Plan that cheap makes me want to buy it, incase I someday stop PS+ing or they end the program.
