For a little bit of math, over the course of the IGC era of PS+ (June 2012 to July 2013) not counting the IGC intro/refresh months (June 2012, November 2013, and June 2013), there were 54 games released for PS+ and only three of them were Sony games (Starhawk SP, Malicious, and Hot Shots Golf 2 for PS1) . So based on that, the odds of buying a Sony game and it appearing on PS+ in a non-IGC refresh month are pretty small. Third-parties on the other hand are a whole other concern, though I'd make sure to denote relevance to upcoming releases (Borderlands, Saints Row The Third, XCOM, and Battlefield 3 months before their sequels/spinoffs release).
Yep, which I am betting on to get Dark Souls for free.

I never played XX but I played the originals. I was hoping this iteration would be an improvement. My comment was directed at the series itself. I like the nostalgic opportunities with PSN games.
Gotcha. I reviewed it back in the day and found it a fun run-of-the-mill Metal Slug game as a big fan of the series. I'd love to see them pull a Double Dragon Neon with a new title and make the campaign as crazy as possible.

^ That graphic is almost reason enough not to buy more than 3-4 games a year unless you play a ton of games.  It is almost a little overwhelming.

I've passed on Battlefield 3 at $5 before, so I guess it's nice that I'm getting it for free. I'll never play it though.

Looking at the list of the games on the PS Blog, my reactions were:

"Yuck"

"Damn, another PSP game"

"Meh, already got it for free on Vita"

"Damn, already own it."

"fuck YEAH!"

Munch's Odyssee will make the whole month for me! Been waiting for that game to get a price drop for quite a while.
Same exact reaction here, expect I already own JSR on PS3. Was kinda disappointed until I saw Odd World. Makes the whole month ok with me.

And why I am trying to cut back on Steam and other PC sales. I have all of the games for PS3 for the upcoming month on PC and the only one I have played is BF3.

This is a weird month, all those games (aside from Metal Slug) are rather good games but that list just feels horribly underwhelming after the last couple months.  Glad I downloaded the full game trial and got Close Quarters while it was free though.

even if all was out today i doubt i would even find more then 10 i wanted

top-----disgaea 3 and demon (2)

2nd row rush and ninja (2)

3rd row ff and maybe zombie (2)

4th row plants maybe 1 or 2 more

7 to 9 games .... for 50..... though they would still cost you more then 7 each to buy and as long as you pay you can play them so even with not much i would download still find psn worth it just some months are better then others.. AUG has to be better then july..july will be the first month i dont download a single thing from psn (unless their are sales (well im down loading Silent hill and Batman next week)

Would be nice but never happen... if sony did a one week thing that allowed you to download any of these games for free (put them all back in as part of psn) for say a one time fee of 9.99 or something

Tekken Revolution update!

FYI you get 1 million G credit when you log in since the game hit 1 million downloads.

There are two new playable characters:

Jin Kazama

Ling Xiaoyu

So that's pretty cool.

This is why I dislike digital distribution, purchases add up way too fast.  Between this weeks sales and the stuff over the next two I'm going to be spending like $50.  At least that's like 10 games and some LBP DLC.

Rockin, thanks for the heads up. I try to play a couple rounds in the morning to wake up but skipped today.

Is the 1 million G good for those who download it today or is it for existing players only? What is money in the game used for?

I already have TTT2, is this still worth playing? I was under the impression that everyone just spams the invincible moves and lasers with Kazuya.

its for upgrading your characters

I think its still fun since its more like tekken 5 then it is 6 and tag 2 since they took out the bound from those games.

thanks for the update PublikDefender need to sign in today. :)

hmm so I might grab the prince of Persia game been wanting to play it and bladestorms.

Man I'm gonna have to have my wife set up a password next week. I can see a late night gaming session turning into "Hey, F&F looks amazing!). Then I wake up feeling like I took the ugly chick home from the bar.

PS+ is just trying to get me to forfeit physical retail releases all together. with the freebies and super discounted games, it's just insane.

I know I don't have the willpower tho. iv never touched Dokuro since buying it on sale, same as others. Now iv got 2 bf3's ill flip to gamestop. I'm ps+ til 2017, its so crazy good deals.

Bleh, atleast the awesome sales make up for the meh month for me. Had all the games except Oddworld. Though im glad this might force more of my friends into playing BF3, that game is amazing

I considered that but I had to buy Infinite and Last of Us. Otherwise I could wait on most other games. :)
In this particular case, Redbox is your friend. I got the platinum for Infinite in about three rentals. Finished Last of Us in two. There's always free rental codes, too.

Of course it's good to support great games by buying them, but I'm a little too cheap to drop that kind of money on relatively short (albeit excellent) playthroughs.

That PS+ picture from the blog is excellent.

Does anyone have the cross controller DLC for LBP2?  I just found out that a few of the trophies require multiple people.  You don't need to actually have the Vita, just the DLC.

I did a sleepless endurance run of The Last of Us and finished it around 15 hours and was able to return it with just the 1 day charge. First time using Redbox and I'll probably use it again. Never even knew they had games until someone (you? If so, thanks!) mentioned it in this thread right after that last Resident Evil game came out last month. It never came here, though.

Random new feature I've noticed since update 4.46, when you download a game and then choose to download it in the background, it gives you a progress bar while it's preparing your background download.

Not particularly important, but still kinda cool.

Hey, I'm new to the PSN, I have PS+ so the discounts applied to games if I purchase at that price when my subscription runs out does that mean I will no longer have access to said game? The game I am considering is the shadow of the colossus game for $5

Anything you pay for is yours to keep forever.

That's nice though, some of the big stuff takes really long when you set it to download in the background.

Question about the Marvel level kit DLC for LBP, am I looking at that right that it's only for LBP1 not LBP2? Everything else says cross buy or LBP2 so I'm assuming that's the case.

I don't know if they fixed this bug or not, but try to make any monetary purchase separate from any 'free from ps+' purchase. When I combined the 2 types into 1 purchase, I lost access to the paid game when my ps+ ran out.

It's for LBP Vita.

NOTE: To download this Costume Kit, you must already own LittleBigPlanet™.

Level kits aren't cross compatible between games.
It's for LBP Vita.
You're thinking of the Marvel Arcade Pack.

I thought I made sure to label the right items as being from LBP or LBP2 since LBP2 costumes don't work in the original and made sure that Level Kits aren't labeled as being Cross Buy since they only work with the game they were made for. I'll have to double check that.

I can play the Marvel kit and all other level DLC for LBP1 on LBP2, so it should be fine, but I do have LBP1 so don't take me 100% on that.

I noticed something that seems to be new with the latest FW update, which is that install bubbles of downloaded items don't seem to count against the 32 item limit for the download queue anymore.
