Store prices are starting to update. The $.99 ones are back to normal and Max Payne 3 is down, but PS+ discount isn't showing yet. Sale page hasn't updated new sales games yet, either

This is the kind of ridiculous tomfoolery I plan on doing on PS4 no matter how bad I am at it. As soon as it comes out I'll start having a daily Octodad stream at 5am assuming it all functions as advertised. Because the world demands it.

Yeah the extra rebate for buying 2/3/4 of the games is what pushed me over the edge into buying it. Assuming I only buy this and Stealth Inc, the game will only cost me $6.50. I figured the extra $1.50 is worth the few month wait I'd have to endure before it hits $5. Now if it goes free for PS+ in a few months that would be a different story.

Ok it's official. Somebody on here has GOT to stream themselves playing this game lol. I haven't watched the whole thing cause i'm at work but please tell me you only have to be invisible for 1 level to get that achievement. Otherwise that's insane to even think about.

 
Trophy description says "Get to level 20 while invisible in Escalation".  That should be interesting.

I'll probably leave work early to download and play the game when it gets on the store, but alas, I have no way to stream the gameplay.

Edit- Wait, PixelJunk Monsters: Ultimate HD is an update of the PSP version? Did not realize that. Can anyone speak to how that version compared to the PS3 game? Just found the answer in that apparently it also came with the map pack and more towers and monsters. Torn over whether to get it before I leave and knowing that it comes with the $6 map pack makes it a much better values at $12 than it originally appeared to be.

Infamous waas good but not great. The side missions got very repetitive. (Especially the climb the building and disarm the device types)

The enemies were laughable. Homeless trash men armed with machine guns and RPGs, sure.

And a hero who could be defeated with a super soaker.

i dont think we ever saw a massive sale on ps1 games did we. thinking about buying some but hate to spend 6 each if they fall soon. Then again picked up a kindle hd maybe i pick up some cheap apps for that instead and wait for the next sale

The PSP version of PJM contained the $6 expansion island that is on PSN as well as another island unique to that version. If all you have played is the vanilla PS3 version, then you will be getting a lot of additional content.

As an aside, I wish they would quit focusing on handheld for PJM releases. This is probably my favorite couch co op game of the generation and I just can't bring myself to go back to playing solo. They could at least bring the new island from the PSP version to the PS3...

Haven't played it at all but this is one of those that it's disappointing they didn't just do a PS3 version with and make them cross buy. Even with the extra content and HD update $15 regular is a little much for a port of an almost 4 year old port.

I think I remember a while back there was a Square-Enix or Final Fantasy sale (not sure which) that included a lot of the Sqaresoft RPGs for PS1 in the sale. So there is certainly a precedent for PS1 Classics being on sale.

Yeah the Atlus games are not on sale anymore, but the ones from last week like the Persona series and Odin Sphere are still on sale.

right. but the point is, it's a procedurally generated platformer that can drastically alter difficultly level. that is, it can procedurally generate a level so hard there is only one perfect path... or it can procedurally generate easier levels. this needs to be shown... but then as soon as they show really difficult levels being generated, people freak out.

games aren't generally reviewed based on the most extreme settings.

here, though, the fact that it can generate such a wide variety of levels is a benefit, not a bad thing. can you imagine if it could only generate 'medium difficulty' levels? that would be silly.

again, i'm not even buying the darn game. but the fact that it can generate such levels is a plus, not a minus. you don't need to amp up the difficulty that high, but it's there for people who want to.

see, that's the thing. i don't think they expect almost anyone to play at that level. they're showing off the capabilities of their level generator and it's backfiring on them. which is sad (i always want games trying something new to succeed, even if they're not my thing)

The problem is that they completely rebalanced the Encore island and have new towers/enemies that throughout those older levels, so it would have to be a much bigger thing than just a new island. I'd guess that they preferred the idea of bringing the game to a new platform than just going back and releasing DLC for the original version.

I think the closet thing was the PS1 15th anniversary sale back in 2010. IIRC they had one new PS1 game go on sale each week for $3 a pop.

The good shooting controls are what changes that from a game nobody would care about to one that people interested in Destiny should check out. It doesn't explain certain things as well as it should, but it's a solid game, especially as an MMO with no monthly subscription.

Regarding the Journey/TUFS bundle.   I don't think Journey has Move compatibility, I know The Unfinished Swan does sine it's an "FPS"?

 
so it won't let me download that bioshock infinite dlc for free online but i have the season pass.

i guess i have to redeem it ingame?

but it says b2g1, $5? shouldn't it have been $10? no complaints but...

The Unfinished Swan is more of an FPA (First-Person Adventure). Journey doesn't have Move support no, but googling it there are multiple articles where the developers say why it wasn't included. I know I'm a broken record, but just wanted to restate that I absolutely adored TUS and can't recommend it highly enough ^_^

Hand of the Prophit - Defeated all waves in the Emporia Arcade (silver trophy)
Museum Curator - In CitC, unlock all Gallery Items
Sergeant in Arms - In CitC, got a kill with each weapon and vigor (except Bucking Bronco)
Rope-a-Dope - In CitC, knocked an enemy off the city with Undertow, then rescued him, then knocked him off again
The Ol' One-Two - In CitC, used all eight different vigor combos to deliver the killing blow onan enemy.
Missile Defence Sysytem - In CitC,killed an enemy with splash damage by shooting a rocked out of the air. (silver trophy)
Blue Ribbon Champ - In CitC, completed all blue ribbon challenges (silver trophy)

heads up on defiance but the disk had like a 20 gig install. idk what the digital version would be with all patches/etc. / strange maxpayne 3 is 14 gig, but defiance only says like 5 gig, but i know its like 10 more gig of patches...

edit - i guess i was impatient. i should just wait til i get home anyway, but i refreshed and now is free add to cart. thanks guy. freak out! lol

Going to be getting PixelJunk Monsters: Ultimate HD and very happy that its only 165MB.

It will fit on whats left on my Vita 32GB card no problem. I only have a little over a gig of space left.
