:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

can i still play Peace Walker online? i've read you basically need to play co-op in some parts to actually beat it. i've never played it, was gonna pick it up if the servers are still up.

I've been wondering this too. Does the Vita version have online co-op? If so, is it the main campaign?

There is no Vita version unless you mean the PSP version. It also doesn't support Infrastructure, so you'll likely have to use Ad-hoc Party unless you have someone to play with locally. You'll need to complete the tutorial and first mission before you can access the main menu and multiplayer option.

I originally beat Peace Walker without co-op back when the game was exclusive to the PSP, so it can be done. Though it's significantly easier with other players. As of last fall, the online portion of Peace Walker was still running. I haven't heard that Konami pulled it yet, but in light of their recent dealings, or lack thereof, that may happen soon.

Am I the only one getting a sense of deja vu right now?

Is there a reason to get Persona 4 Arena over P4 Arena Ultimax? Never played either.

I'd rebuy Wolfenstein and Watch Dogs no matter what sale prices they get, if they would just go on sale. I traded all my PS4 discs and I'm ready for those games again so I need a sale to justify the digital conversion. They are in the top 5 of 2014 or so and I need them back.

I want Pirate Warriors 2 (currently $12 for PS Plus), but i've seen it go cheaper.
Also PW3 is releasing in August which may cause another sale or One Piece games.

In short, should i go for PW2?

I think I bought it on a similar deal prior to that in 2013. I remember getting on the cheap around the same time I bought my Vita. Looking forward to getting the Super Turbo Edition, I loved the game as a huge fan of Metroidvania games and professional wrestling it was a perfect match for me.
All this time I thought I got it free, turns out I paid $7.34 back in August 2013. Not nearly as bad as the $15.45 I spent on Sleeping Dogs DLC in May 2013.

Edit: Also already bought Unfinished Swan and Hohokum.

Don't feel like going back several pages. I already had Zen Pinball 2 Star Wars on PS3 and Vita. It allowed me to "buy" the PS4 version for free. Are the Zen Pinball 2 Star Wars tables cross buy on Sony systems the same way they are on Xbox 360 and Xbox One?

Anyone recommend Akiba's Trip?
I just plat'd it last week and would highly recommend it. It took about 40 hours to plat so you are going to get your moneys worth. Probably watch some youtube reviews though to make sure it's for you as it's kind of a unique quirky game.

Akiba's Trip is endlessly charming if you like the niche-ish sort of game. If you have played Acquire's other series like Shinobido, Gladiator Begins, or Way of the Samurai, you'll see a lot of the same design here.

I went with Strider and Catherine for now.  I may end up getting Resident Evil HD Remake, Aquapazza and Arcana Hearts 3: Love Max also, but we'll see how things go at gamestop tomorrow haha!

Anyone ever see YS: Seven on sale before? YS: I & II Chronicles and YS: The Oath in Felgana were cheap not too long ago, so here's to hoping!

Are there any differences with cross-buy games they offer free for PS+ between PS4 and PS3 versions?  Or it's basically the same game but playable on these platforms.

Noticed I can now download Star Wars Battlefront II (PSP) direct to the vita without a PS3.  Looks like several of the Star Wars PSP games are showing as PSP and PS Vita on the webstore.  (I think most of them worked before via PS3 transfer).

Anyone played Force Unleashed on PSP/ Vita?

Sorry if it's been mentioned already, but May PS+ games announed (in EU, but usually the same).

One time. It was before Celceta came out and I had never played the series and didn't realize I would like it. Been waiting for it since.

Awesome, once again proves why it is not worth buying indies on PS4. Was tempted for Guac and Swan during their past sales but opted out because of the backlog and well... indies.

So...is there a trick for getting PS Plus games for free like there is with the Xbox one month trials? All I need it for is to buy Riviera and Yggdra Union at $2.50.

Also, I'm not a fan of the console titans offering bigger discounts to subscribers in this generation of systems. Thanks, Obama.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I did like Way of the Samurai, so this seems like something I would be into.

Now the question is, PS4 or Vita. Really too bad its not cross save or buy.

to those who pre ordered pier solar ages ago: what was the extra bonus we were supposed to get when they shipped it as a reward for the delay? They mentioned in emails we were getting something but not what it was. I was wondering if it was codes for the digital versions or something. If not i may bite at this price

You can get a free 7-day trial directly from the PSN store if you've never had PS+ before.

It's a service that subscribers pay for, of course they should get bigger discounts. Even at full price, PS+ comes out to $4 a month at the yearly rate. So do you buy enough games where the savings difference between subscribers and nonsubscribers is $4? Don't forget all the "free" games you get. It would not take much to get your money's worth even at full price.

There's a 14day trial if you haven't used it yet. It requires credit card information. Other than that, the shortest is a month for $10. Since you're not buying that much, it doesn't pay off. Same for me. I would only save $8 with a plus and none of the benefits work out for me so I'm just gonna go ahead and pay the regular sale price.

You'd only be saving $8 this week. If there are five more sales where you would have saved $8 by subscribing, then PS+ is worth it for you. Will there be five sales so you'd be able to save that much by subscribing? In a year's time, it's very likely.
