The thing about cult favorite games such as Shen Mue and possibly The Last Guardian is that they have a really avid minority set of fans. Shen Mue 3 will get at least the KS funding one and will see I guess OK once it comes out on the PSN. The Last Guardian....I think will sell just OK. I may even say that this may be that studio's last game.....you never know....development hell kills studios.

I have no doubt that FF7 Remake will sell well though. Many gamers, including myself, have a lot of nostalgia for FF7 and there are many FF fans out there. I will buy it on release and will once again enjoy the game. I hope for the best for the other 2 (The Last Guardian needs it the most) and hope the fanbase for those games really buy up the game.

I'm ready to do it for Yakuza 5. Hopefully the rest of these fanbases talk with their money instead of just yeah I loved that game in the past though I see the Shen Mue 3 kickstarter is already successful. I will check it out once it's on PSN.

Should the game really be going on "sale" for $35.99 at this point?  I want to play it, but I can't bring myself to spend that much after it's been out for more than 4 months and you can find disc copies for $20.

Anyone know anywhere that has discounted ps store gift cards this week? Id like to snag another 60 to take advantage of the 15 back promo
 
Some of the games on sale are just $5 more than what I would like them to be. The rebate deal makes them more interesting. It'll probably depend if there is a flash sale this weekend, and if I spend maybe $30 to $40 there.

Still, most are a bit higher than I'm willing to bite at(like $15 for Sonic Racing Transformed). Might get Capcom Arcade Cabinet though.

 
I forget, do pre-orders count toward the $100? I think I recall it does in the US (something about how US pre-orders charge the wallet immediately) whereas in the UK it doesn't deduct the funds until release so it doesn't count for these promos?

Wanna pre-order Arkham Knight if it counts

They usually don't I believe.

I remember them saying they do on the blog once for one of the others and having to correct it, confusing lots of people.

edit: Actually that was the 10% discount, nevermind.

Yeah, 10% doesn't work on pre-orders, but I'm pretty close to sure that pre-orders DO charge the wallet immediately in the US and thus count for the $15 back promos but I need confirmation

It should work fine. It's the 10% discount code that doesn't work on pre-orders and some other things.

It says any funds spent from the wallet count(except for in-game purchases), so it should.

Driveclub is at a very tempting price. Also do they not sell the regular version of destiny digital anymore? Can't seem to find it on the store on my phone. Really want to switch to digital for that game.
 
A pretty blah sale overall.  Good for me as I don't have to contemplate any purchases.

Shenmue III is now past 2.7 mil.  So well past the initial 2mil goal and closing in on that 4 mil for all the stretch goals.  I got my $29 down on it now, may change later.  I really want to wait though for a retail version on PS4 with some kind of pre-order bonus.  Either way, I'll at least have the game.

fuck I just spent $35 on the Destiny Expansion Pass a few days ago (Friends and I got back into it after not playing for 7+ months). It would of helped for the spend $100 get back $15 deal..

Decent if not spectacular E3 sales..

Might pick up DA:I digitally. 

 
Off topic but man I regret not getting that $5 mass effect trilogy, I was banking on a remaster at e3, guess I was wrong and I'll pay for it lol
 
So a long time ago I got a disney infinity (PS3) 1.0 playset off AWD for $6, gave the game a chance and it was totally garbage IMO. I see 2.0 is on sale for $9 bucks on ps4, is 2.0 much better & will my ps3 base work on the PS4?

I can confirm that Counterspy is pretty good for a stealth platformer that occasionally becomes Time Crisis when you have to shoot your way through. It has been one of the better play experiences in an hours-vs-fun ratio on the Vita. Of course, since almost every other game on the Vita is a timesink grinder by design any arcade experience is going to beat out that metric.

Eugh, Nier. Why not give Platinum a GOOD IP instead of that crap?

What are they going to do to remain true to the Nier name? Is the protagonist going to wail in despair more and longer after every fight scene if you get a high rank? Is there going to be a level which is a giant field of babies so you can't proceed without murdering children beneath your clumsy unheroic feet? But then there's a runaway train coming so you have to stop it but the brakes are powered by a bunch of little sisters who will all die brutally if you stop the train to save the babies but then everything explodes in the end no matter what and you get another 30 minute cutscene of people crying bitch tears?
