Thanks. As an old-school Castlevania, doesn't it have an arcade style? Is there any way to save progress? RPG elements are really what made SotN great for me back on PSX.

It is just me or is Muramasa no longer part of the sale? I don't see it on the blog post anymore either. Welp, glad I got it last week. Zero Escape was taken off too. Looks like Aksys realized it would be on sale 2 weeks in a row so they pulled it.

The reason Meruru and Totori trophy lists are not the same is because the PS3 version is the original, and the Vita version is the Plus. There isn't a Meruru+ and Totori+ on the PS3, and the originals aren't on Vita.

It's not perfect but it gets the job done. In refreshing my mind on what's coming out this year besides Yakuza 5 (which for me is the biggest release of the year)... I'm also looking forward to Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number & N++.

I didn't know about Shantae: Half-Genie Hero coming this year... that's a definite buy if it does come out.

Also Persona 5 & Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain are games I will eventually want after I dig through both series with the games I own.

Overall a good year that won't be too overwhelming. I rarely buy on release but Yakuza 5 is likely that rare game along with Shantae HGH.

 
Yakuza 5 needs to be bought by fans....this is pretty much Sony doing a favor for us. If you show no interest...well that's it likely for another long while.

I agree with Sir Charles.

On another note, Frisky do you know if taxes would be excluded or included in the $100 promo?  Technically one is still spending $100 from their sen wallet even if it is on taxes, but I don't want to lose $15 over $2.50.

I just bought the Far Cry Compilation at Target last night on clearance for $8.98. That came with a physical copy of Far Cry 3 and codes for Far Cry 2 and Blood Dragon. I already own Far Cry 3 as a download and now Blood Dragon is showing up as $4.99 on PSN with the sale. Should I return the Far Cry Compilation now or keep it?

I know you got the answer... but I just wanted to point out that the version of SotN on Chronicles is sort of a mashup of the Saturn version and PS1 version along with some new translations and a tiny bit of extra stuff planned for but not included in the original games. It's nothing to loose sleep over (and well worth playing) but if you go in expecting to hear some of the classic lines (even from the beginning of the game) it may throw you off. If none of that matters there's nothing to worry about. But think of it as a Directors Cut version. The original PS1 version is also available on the store and works on PSP/PSV/PS3... so there's that too if you want the pure nostalgia. I'm a big fan of the series so it's both for me.

Did you already own 2? If not then you might as well keep the compilation or redeem the codes and then sell/trade off the disc unless you want to play 3 without needing to eat harddrive space.

I did not realize this. I probably wont recognize any lines of dialogue as being different. As far as the original PSX version being on PSN, I looked for it this afternoon and could not find it.

Are they propping up these mediocre Vita sales as a justification for all-but-completely ignoring PS4/PS3? Wouldn't it behoove them to properly compete with Xbox's sale? Guess I now know where this week's gaming money is going.

 
Is anyone aware of any 32gb or 64gb Vita memory cards on sale?  On average I am finding the 32 for $65 and the 64 for $89.  I really only need a 32gb but if it is only going to be about $25 more I might just end up getting the 64gb.

I read somewhere that's it hard to go back to 2 after you play 3. But if the code for Blood Dragon is worth $5 according to this sale, Far Cry 2 is possibly worth the other $4 and 3 would then be free. I might either trade it in or sell it at work. I wouldn't delete Far Cry 3 though because it's one of my favorite games of all time. Thanks.
 
Is the Splinter Cell Blacklist Ultimate Edition worth it, in comparison to just the regular physical edition? Also, I just picked up a copy of Watch Dogs the other day, anyone recommend the season pass? 

I was going to bite on Resident Evil: Revelations 2 but, holy hell, Capcom sucks. They're seriously charging for extra save files? Weapon DLC I can understand, but this is a new low. Good thing I'm not a big Resident Evil fan, cause' I'll pass on this shit. For me, Capcom's shining moment was never RE anyway, they peaked at the original Dino Crisis.

Point being, sales like last weeks Critics is a once per month kinda sale. Nobody deserves insane AAA game sales every week. Plus, we'll know soon what the next PS Plus titles for March will be.

This may not suit you, but Rakuten is selling it for $90, and you can apply for a credit card through them and get about $80 back on your purchase, putting it at 9

 
About to buy some things for the $15 back but have a two questions.i bought guilty gear xrd and muramasa dlc collection when they were on sale.does it count towards the $100 spent?when does the spend $100 end?

It ends at 11:59 PM PT (2:59 AM ET). It began last Tuesday, so anything since then counts.

On PS3, Far Cry 3 is on the disc and Far Cry 2 and Blood Dragon are codes. As I understand it, all three games are on disc on the Xbox 360 version of the Far Cry Compilation.
