:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

Sucks that we have to wait another week to get the ps plus games. Make sure everyone grabs the games on the ps store though. You never know if you will want to play them in the future.

Would have loved if axiom verge was a freebie.

As for april plus, I really wish they would start giving some PS4 retail games out, at least 1st party stuff like knack or god forbid, driveclub

Hmmm. Not so great PS+ lineup for PS4 owners. I am a little intrigued by Tower of Guns, though. Looks like a FPS married to a shmup.

When are the newest weekly deals usually up by? Still haven't got the schedule done yet :/
2pm PST / 5pm EST.

What time do the PS Plus games turn free? Midnight?
Next Tuesday, 2pm PST/ 5pm EST, or earlier.

We've gotten Injustice (and plenty of other great games).

Anybody having trouble installing The Show 15 on their ps4? I played the introductory game but the installation bar is stuck at 90% (doesnt portray a numerical number).

NVM- Restarted the console and loaded the game up and it finished in a matter of minutes.

I'm generally not one to criticize PS Plus games, but April's line-up is the weakest I've seen in some time.
I thought the opposite. We're getting Dishonored (a game that was on a lot of people's GOTY list) and Kill Zone: Mercenary, both are retail games. I already own a physical copy of Dishonored GOTY edition, but I still think April is a good month for Plus, far from being the weakest. If you want to see which months were the weakest, just look back at the six months after PSN change their Plus Free Games policy.

Killzone is alright. Definitely the best FPS on Vita, though I'm not a big FPS guy. Also, my PS3 has been relegated to the closet since the PS4 launched. Dishonored is a good game though.

Looks like a good list of games for April with three new releases and a great PSTV game in Killzone Mercenary. I'm also looking forward to Never Alone.

Killzone is so huge that I'm not sure I'll download it, but it's a very solid game and the multiplayer is better than it deserves to be on a handheld.

Trophy hunters be warned, the plat requires an incredibly long grind for a kill count trophy.

  • Tower of Guns (PS4, PS3)
  • Never Alone (PS4)
  • Dishonored (PS3)
  • Aaru’s Awakening (PS3, PS4)
  • Killzone Mercenary (PS Vita)
  • MonsterBag (PS Vita)
fuck yes! I really wanted to play Killzone but resisted the urge to buy it multiple times ($8 PSN sale, cheap preowned copies) knowing that it will come to PS+ eventually. Money -> saved.

I've been pretty happy not having a PS4. Bloodborn is the first thing on it that I actually want to play. Omega Quintet is the second...

I will definitely try Tower of Guns and Never Alone. With no big retail release that I'm interested until Witcher 3, it looks like April will be the month to shrink the PS plus backlog.

Don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, but that comment is ludicrous as far as it's perspective of indie games. Some of the best games I've ever played are "indie". Ori and the Blind Forest is still my favorite GoTY (yes, even above Bloodborne). On PS4, the Hotline Miami games and Resogun are outstanding.

BUT I do get that most people don't buy consoles for indie games. PC gaming is the way to go if that's the primary objective. So I get the point. Mainstream "AAA" titles from big name publishers would be nice to see more often on PS+, especially for the PS4.

That comment, however, was an insult to the Indie community and unnecessarily vicious.

I'm still waiting on mine as well. Hopefully it shows up before the weekend if we have an Easter sale.
I'm just starting to worry that they're delaying all the orders so our points expire and invalidate all our orders or something.

Yea, $50 for a different color and plate is stupid
Isn't it $450 because it comes with the game? So it's actually a $10 savings.

I actually like this set of PS+ games for once
Agreed. I hadn't heard of half of the games but find them intriguing.

Forgot this week is also a celebration of all things Batman on PSN! Wonder if that factored into Sony announcing the LE Bundle this morning.

Excited for Killzone Mercenary (Almost pulled the trigger so many times!) and Never Alone. Both look fun and I hope to have extra game times in April.

Not the original person you're responding to - but I pointed out earlier that there is also a $399 bundle with the game and the black console. So essentially $50 for the special edition color/logo

From the blog:

In addition to the limited edition bundle, we’ll also have a Batman: Arkham Knight PS4 Bundle available for $399.99 (MSRP), which includes a PS4 system and DualShock 4 controller in Jet Black and Batman: Arkham Knight. Both the Limited and Standard Edition Batman: Arkham Knight bundles provide the perfect opportunity to upgrade to PS4, but if you’re a fan who’s already enjoying this new generation of gaming, the digital pre-order for Batman: Arkham Knight is going live today on PlayStation Store.

The Entitlement generation really gets on my nerves..

I completely understand I will NOT be getting a "AAA" title every month with PS+, Hell it may even be 1-2 a YEAR.. Perfectly happy about it. (And I may just get a "AAA" game I don't even care to ever play... *gasp*)

Never would have played OlliOlli2, Counterspy, Rouge Legacy, Steamworld, Spelunky, Tennis in the Face. I could go on and on with the titles, these are just the ones I can think of that were recent.

All of these were a blast, and yeah I've looked at their other titles as well because of these "freebies"

I do not have any issue with Sony getting Indies the spotlight.

And yeah I've heard of 1-2 of the games for next month... guess what? I'll be playing pretty much all of them when I get them now. More games that I would probably never would have looked into, I will be playing now.

Tennis in the Face was part of the <$1 flash sale, not Plus.

Batman Sale: https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/batman-games-sale/cid=STORE-MSF77008-BATMANGAMESSALE

The Batman sale also includes Injustice and MK vs DC Universe alongside the typical Batman titles. There is also a Battlefield 4 DLC (shortcuts only at this point) sale, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax + DLC sale, and all of Square Enix's PS4 games got a permanent price drop.
Since almost all of the Batman games are on PS3, not much for PS4/Vita this week.

I have a strong feeling that there will be a Flash sale this weekend with Easter on tap.

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles

  • The Journey Begins: April 21

Well it looks like another month I can hold off. It is not that it is a horrible selection but nothing in there I absolutely want. My backlog of games I own is long enough I do not need to use PS+ right now.

Edit: Question: I game share with my Dad and he is still on a active PS+.  Would I be able to play those games?

I may have to finally bite on MK vs DC if it's cheap enough. I played it once ages ago, and it was okay. I just thought it was kinda silly. It was fairly fun though, and I finally learned to accept Freddy in Mortal Kombat 9, so I can probably come to terms with this too.
