:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

Can anybody queue their downloads from the PC's browser? I haven't been able to do that since last week. Looks like Sony's trying to bork that feature or something.
Yea, I just did it Saturday and tried just now and it worked. What's happening to you happens to me a lot though, signing out then signing in usually fixes it for me.

I think it's account specific, I was experiencing some weird issues at the beginning of the year where purchases weren't showing up in the download list for days to weeks, then when they were there and I clicked download to PS4 it would flash for a second and return like I didn't push it and nothing would be added to the queue, and then games in the queue would blank meaning the games picture name and description would be gone even though there was something queued for download and nothing would download on the system. Everything seemed to fix itself about a month ago except I cannot download woah dave no matter what I try.

There is going to be a new Vita Model Showed off at E3 with an HDMI port and some other upgrades apparently so it seems as if sony isnt stopping Vita support anytime soon but I do wonder like Slidecage does as to why there are hardly any sales for that platform but oh well, the last month or so has been pretty shitty on sales period besides all the awesome indie games but most of the indie games in the spring sale could or can be gotten cheaper for other platforms nameingly pc soooo whatever i guess
Unless one of the upgrades is getting rid of proprietary memory cards, I'm not interested.

Well it's Sony. I doubt they will go to MicroSD soon. They haven't even allowed external HDDs to be used as additional storage on the PS4 yet.

I'll consider if the proprietary Vita memory cards will be 64/128GB and for cheap...and that will be the 3rd Vita I'll purchase if they do some kind of HDMI output on the system. Kind of like Playstation TV running on it.

Nope, not working for me. Even after I cleared my cache and cookies.
You are not the only one having that issue, I had to manually download stuff I was getting errors about not being able to connect / sync.

And I think last week I was getting a bunch of errors trying to connect to PSN Store on my Vita.

Don't worry, I'm not holding my breath. I don't have any expectation of ever owning a Vita. I don't mind the lack of external drives on the PS4, I'm just happy I can install a larger internal drive. Still, it would be nice if they offered that as an option.

Oh man, you are missing out on missing out.

I asked Double Fine on Twitter if Broken Age will be $25 and they said yes but it will also be 33% off next week!

What error?

I would say that your PS4 has become self aware and is trying to protect itself from those games.

I guess some people here like them. Not Woah Dave though. That game is an abomination.

I was going to like that but you're slandering Hotline Miami so no like for you. Come back, one year.

Not sure I would call them "purists." "Shippers" is more accurate, since there is canonically nothing romantic going on with Akihiko and Mitsuru in the first place.
except for when they saw each other naked in a sex hotel >.>

But seriously, guys, Velma would never go for a guy like Fred. It's ridiculous to even contemplate it when it's so clear Daphne and Fred were made for each other.

Does it do that on the web store?
Seeing the error as well for both PS4 & PS-Vita in the web store. Guessing from my prior work experience in console game marketplaces, it's probably simply pushed too early into the PSN store, eiher as next week's Spring Fling Week 7 choice, or as a "buy X get Y" promo/combo, or that the game will suddenly appear in May's PS+ "instant game collection". The fact the game shows as "free" is a placeholder value so nobody accidently gets through & spends actual $$$ on it before it's ready.

This has nothing to do with the weekly deals, but for the love of all that's holy why or why or why won't they ever put the Gravity Rush DLC on sale!?

I need more sexy Kat costumes and to 100% the game, but they're asking for waaaay to much for so little content.

I splurged on the full Gravity Rush DLC the other day. I only paid a total of $13 for everything including the main game.

Less than that actually, since I bought the DLC during that 10 percent off thing.

Is there a demo for Shovel Knight? $13.49 for cross platform sounds good if the game is worth the hype.
It's really shitty how demos have all but disappeared completely. I'm sure somehow their numbers tell them demos hurt sales but on a personal note there have been plenty of missed sales opportunities because I wasn't able to see how great it was. Titan Souls might have been the latest one.

Anyway, all I can tell you is...just get Shovel Knight and personally blame me if you don't like it lol. It truly is a masterpiece as a game itself but its retro callbacks and easter eggs put its success over the top.

I'm curious to know if any one of the PS4/PS3/Vita versions of Shovel Knight feels better to play than the others (I'm already aware of how awesome the game is overall).

It plays pretty much perfect. I have had a couple of spots of trouble, but that was based on pure difficulty alone. Never once did I have a problem with the controls or feel like the game cheated me.

Probably my favorite indie so far this year. It's a lot, lot of fun. Highly recommended. I played it in a longer session than I have any game in the last few months, save for bloodborne

Which system(s) have you been playing it on?

I'm sure it comes down to preference. Do you like a certain controller over another? Big screen VS. portable? I'm a handheld gamer mostly, so I personally own the 3DS version, and will get the Vita version once it gets a sale. Otherwise, I've never seen any issues from any players in regards to any issues on any of the systems. It just comes down to what you may prefer.

I hear you, I would rather play a demo of a game before purchase also. I've purchased so many games that people say are great, they get great reviews etc. I play it... and I instantly regret the purchase.

I downloaded pretty much every demo on the nintendo eshop, purchased 1 game.

Titan souls, everyone likes it. I demo'd it on PC, I passed. It's not a game i'd play more than an hour i'd bet.

I'm seeing this as well for $29.70, its not worth it at that price.
No it is not. I should've bought it yesterday when it was still $20. It did seem a bit odd that the double pack was that cheap considering the price of the individual games. Oh well, nothing for me this week.

In my opinion, like "Video killed the radio star", "Gameplay videos and streamers killed the demos"

Anyway, slow week for sales but I got Shovel Knight anyway. Haven't played it yet but seen a lot of rave reviews and has that old school gameplay, which I was born and raised into playing video games.

On Shovel Knight: It's a very solid platformer. If you're into platformers at all, you should love it. If you're not really into platformers, like me, I'd wait. It's definitely one of the best platformers out there.

I agree; I'ts great. Also the trophies look pretty hardcore which seems in keeping with what the designers probably wanted out of the fanbase.

Just playing the first 15 minutes of Shovel Knight might make you wonder why it was so critically acclaimed. But you quickly see how it builds into something a lot more special.

Doubt it will surpass Ori as my favorite platformer of the year (I currently see Ori near or at the top GoTY list no matter the genre). But Shovel Knight is definitely a great game.

It's been free for PS+ for most of the month now, so it's not going to be free for May since this is the last week it's available for free. That was done because the Vita version was free a few months ago with a promise that it would be Cross Buy with the upcoming PS4 version, which is when both versions were made free for PS+.

Multi-million dollar budgets, larger more complicated games that can't easily be shown in a snapshot, and data that says demos are ineffective and often cost more sales then they generate are mostly what killed demos.

The Indie Revolution killed demos. They typically don't have the bandwidth to make a demo for launch when they're more concerned with finishing the game and getting it out on as many platforms as possible as quickly as possible.

Glad to hear that, will determine whether I get it on launch or not.
It's not an open beta, as it requires an invite for those that signed up for it months ago.
