:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

First post so I can't post links, but there's both a Ubisoft("up to 67% off") and Deep Silver sale this week. Prices aren't all updated yet but you can find them through web store banners if you refresh enough.

-Edit, whoops already posted-

what is the criteria?
Whatever their mind makes up as the reason it's likely to happen.

It was posted earlier, so don't worry about the links.

It's usually speculation...but they do sometimes put a game on plus if a sequel/spinoff is coming out...or, sometimes, if there's a ps4 "ultimate edition" type port of a game coming out, they'll put the original ps3 version on plus.

First party games developed by Sony go free a lot after some time- makes sense since Sony doesnt have to pay anything to give their own games away

Also indie titles that are on the older side and have been on sale a bunch tend to go free, as invariably 3 or 4 every month are given away, equating to almost 50 a year, and the plus program has been a few years running

Im sure this is way too much to hope for but id love to see some rocksmith dlc in that ubisoft sale... a man can dream
I'd actually be down for some Just Dance DLC, too...but probably unlikely (especially since they have to charge enough to cover music licensing fees and all for those).

Yeah, makes me wonder if it's supposed to be $25.49 and will change later. Weird that they cost more separately.
I grabbed it while it's still $15.49. But being a true CAG, it'll probably go into the growing backlog and never be played. Hell, I haven't even come close to finishing GTA V.

Child of Light isn't in the Ubi sale. It has to be too much to hope for it as one of the Plus games for June, right? Especially since it was just a Games for Gold freebie recently.

Taking the risk and waiting to bite on the Saints Row Bundle until the PS+ discounts show up. Probably gonna end up being  a price error and it'll end up costing more.

I'm an idiot. Jumped on the Saints Row 4 bundle and totally missed that Oreshika was on sale for $15.

Anyone have opinions on whether I should spend another $15 I don't have?

Read the GS review and it sounds cool by not sure if I'd be in to the whole breeding/family building sim side. Is it fun just as a JRPG and the combat?

Nobody is forcing you to pay for Plus.
I buy it for online. I play GTA Online a lot. The ps plus games are more of a bonus, but it has been pretty meh for a while now.

I'm thinking that because E3 is in June and the last few months have been pretty pitiful, I think we'll be getting some solid PS4 retail games - most likely Knack or Killzone
I think with E3 right around the corner they will release some good titles next week or next month and when E3 hits they will announce how they have such a great line up of free ps plus games given away every month. So basically to sway people to Sony side, but they will stretch the truth.

I am looking online and it says E3 is June 16-18, but I remember it being earlier than that. Yeah, I just looked it up and it looks like the date keeps moving.

2010: June 14-17

2011: June 7-9

2012: June 5-7

2013: June 11-13

2014: June 10-12

2015: June 16-18

It is crazy to think it has almost been a year since this trailer was released for MGS V. I really thought this game was going to be out by now with Kojima not fired.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/05/26/introducing-ps-plus-specials-exclusive-sales-for-plus/

The PS+ Specials are going to be a regular thing for PS+ members to offer some decent deals on newer games that might happen every week, though they're not specific about how often it'll happen.
Yay, I guess? Isn't this what they were supposed to have been doing for PS+ members all along? Is this different now only because they're committing to weekly discounts? If so, I guess that's great since it brings them closer to what XBLG has been doing better for quite awhile. More variety for discounts and all that.

If this means an Axiom Verge discount is coming sooner than later, then I'll be a happy camper.

This is different because they are committing to recent releases. And Deals with Gold copied PS+, as PS+ was always an exclusive members-only discounts and free games subscription, which Gold adopted both of later on.

As cannon said, it's for newer games rather than having to wait 6+ months for the first PS+ deal on stuff like Oreshika, Bloodborne, and The Order like we've had to do before where 20-30% off is more impactful than it would be later on. I'm not sure what XBL is doing that's better than this.

Axiom Verge isn't going to get a deal for at least another four months and even then, they're going to give people a heads up a few weeks ahead of time before it goes on sale anyway.

Honestly, the Xbox Gold deals have sucked big time lately. Sony doesn't have great sales every week but typically they make up for it the next week or with a flash sale. MS has been pretty awful with sales for months.

Only Gold advantage has been being able to keep GwG even if you lapse.

The final product will be whatever Kojima envisioned, not Konami.
Konami has no interest in investing more money to remove stuff from the finished product. They need to sell as many copies as possible after all of the bad PR they've created for the past few months, so they're probably not going to fuck with the end product just for the hell of it.

I know the game works on PSTV. Does the demo? Know a lot of them don't.

got it day one and found it very boring. played it maybe 2 hours before tossing it off my system, i think it was one of the bigger waste of 20 i blew on the vita, one day i might give it another chance but i say wait sub 10
Thanks. I have a feeling that I may have the same experience so if the demo doesn't work on PSTV, I'll probably pass.

Nothing at all for Vita?

I had a theory about PSN and this corroborates it. As far as Vita is concerned, they pay absolutely no mind to sales on Tuesdays. The only time to really worry about sales is during the flash sales every month or so.

Yeah, Fez, Spelunky, and Rock Boshers EX. That's it, though. No PSP discounts, either.

Saints Row Re-elected is $24

Saints Row Gat out of hell is $16

Saints Row Re-elected AND Gat out of hell is $15.50

...I know which one I'm buying.

Going to have to look into Rock Boshers, the name is familiar but no idea what it is. Want Ayesha but don't think I want to spend quite that much on it. Oreshika isn't a great price but really do want it.

In the PS+ sale there's also:

Atelier Ayesha

Oreshika

Helldivers

Hyperdevotion Noire

Exactly why Im not sure about jumping on this deal. Haven't touched the 4 games I bought from the Flash sale.
