:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

When is the last time Square Enix put its Final Fantasy games on sale? Been wanting the Vita version of the X/X-2 Remaster.
Have you checked the Trade forum? I picked up a code for X-2 Remaster for $8 when I first picked up my Vita. I don't know if that was part of a bundle or something, so you may have a harder time finding a cheap code for both.

Yeah, just checked and there are a ton of X-2 codes, probably because the retail release only had X on physical and a download code for X-2. Of course, X is the better game and if I buy physical I'd get the code anyway.

Might not be a bad idea if I find a used physical of X though. Thanks for posting.

Been wanting to get back into fighting games (got out of them right after high school) after coming back from Colossalcon, so my question is...

Skullgirls? or Ultra Street Fighter 4?

I see Skullgirls is on sale right now, and I've heard good things. Haven't played a street fighter since the ps2

I thought a patch fixed that?

Ehh Mortal Kombat has never been my thing really. Played a bit of injustice at the con, and hated how it played. Is it anything like that?
I'm not a hardcore fighting game player but to me Injustice and MKX feel very much the same. Just my opinion.

I've been waiting a while to buy some things (like DLC and Season Passes) for one of those Spend $50, Get $10 Back or Spend $100, Get $15 back deals.  There hasn't been one in a while and I'm getting a bit impatient now...

Man, anyone who doesn't have Sleeping Dogs from PS+ should check it out for that cheap. I normally dislike open-world GTA-styled games but Sleepy Dawgs has such a melee combat focused approach (think Batman or God of War ish) and a gorgeous-looking Hong Kong feel that it suckered me in.

I thought MKX and MK9 were smooth and played great. Injustice to me felt really clunky, not sure why. It didn't feel near as polished as MKX.

Not sure if USF4 was patched yet or not, it was outsourced apparently and a piece of monkey crap

Is the PS4 version so much better that it's worth owning for $16? I have the PS3 version from plus but haven't played it yet.

It has all of the DLC and should run/look better, which I enjoyed a lot and can bring stuff back into the main campaign. You're good either way.

Sleeping Dogs is a great game.  Given the choice I'd buy the PS4 version with all DLC, but as Frisky said you can't really go wrong either way.

Apparently USF4 on PS4 is still awful, the game's frame lag still hasn't been fixed and probably won't be. MKX on the other hand is great, especially since it's full of content, not just a versus, online, and an arcade mode. The story is decent, the game is fun and easy to get into, and there's bunch of still from towers to the krypt to test your luck, that make the game last waaaaaay longer than USF4. Plus, the graphics and variety of characters/styles are a lot better.

I played USF4 recently and didn't notice any issues. I'm not a hardcore fighter so if things are slightly off I might not notice. The menu lag is gone.

Skullgirls 2nd Encore is coming to PS4(and Vita if you'd prefer fighters on that for some reason) sometime this summer so might want to wait on that.

Operation Tokyo does not strike a cord with me. To be fair any first person Jap dungeon crawler has to compete with Etrian Odyssey and that's like going up against Doom. You won't win. You can't win, not unless you are a master of your craft.

And if you were a master of your craft you wouldn't be developing for the fuck ing Vita

Anyone know if the PS4 Guacamele ultra version has any more story or anything extra in it over the old version? I have the old version on PS3 and if they are the same id probaly rather just play the ps3 version. My ps4 HDD is getting kind of full. Is the champion edition better or does it have good extra content other than the 2nd player option?

Pre-order deal on Sword Coast Legends from Digital Extremes (Warframe):

https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/games/sword-coast-legends/cid=UP2097-CUSA02571_00-SWORDCOAST010000

"This price is only available from 6/7/2015 to 12/30/2016.

This PSN game is expected to be available in 570 days on 12/30/2016."

This is probably the longest out I've seen a pre-order being offered in a while that had a specific time frame listed on it.
I noticed this on ps4 and don see it for sale on ps3... which is odd. The graphics in the screenshots look terrible, doesn't look at all like a ps4 game

If you thought the subtitles in the original Sleeping Dogs were smaller, the Definitive version is even smaller. If you can pay a decent price like about $10-20 for it on PS4, go for it. It's very satisfying compared to Grand Theft Auto. I just started the pimped out car missions and man the ramming on it is awesome.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/06/10/resogun-soundtrack-wipeout-ships-new-human-packs-out-today/

A bunch of new content out for Resogun today including the soundtrack, three human packs, and a pack of new ships from the Wipeout series. It's all free for season pass people and paid for chumps.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/06/10/hellblade-new-gameplay-trailer-follows-a-struggling-warrior/

New Hellblade trailer and details on the story's focus on mental illness that is cool to see a big budget game tackling that sort of issue.

So is Ratchet & Clank actually different from the original game or is it just a remake?  It doesn't seem anything clearly indicates one way or another.

I assume those familiar with the original might be able to tell a little more from the gameplay video(s).

The combat is very Batman-like, but I don't know how you got God of War mixed in there.

I liked shadow of mordor because of the combat which as been compared to batman. Would sleeping dogs be similar to that? If so i might give that game a go sometime

This reminds me i still need to pick up Drakengard 3 eventually

I recognized very little from that video. To me it looks more 'inspired by' than anything else.

I had to go back and watch it two more times. There are some scenes that now look familiar, and some that definitely weren't there before.

Even if they just put in the better control scheme from the later games, that might be a win.

It is similar to the Arkham/AC combat, but it works really well for SD because that style of combat is perfect for the martial arts fights that it generally focuses on.
