What the crap is this guy talking about? I thoroughly enjoyed Rocksteady's previous Arkham games and Knight looks amazing.
I get it, I preferred the subdued map of asylum vs city, so I'll be turned off by an even bigger map and it being more grand theft autoish too. That said, I'm down with the side mission stuff being campy ass and I have no particular affection for Batman so they can't hurt my nerd sensibilities anyways.

News about a nexus 7 successor would be nice only because I need to replace mine and I'll jump on one of the cheap deals for the current one if nothing's in the pipeline.
Not happening, no new tablet to be announced according to reports.

They already replaced it, but with the Nexus 9 which is a little expensive.

Im interested in the lg phone possibly depending on the price, 250 or less and I might get one. I have a Moto G 2nd gen right now, its not bad but its a little laggy at times.

Also a little big. The nexus 7 is the absolute perfect size and heft for me. Anything bigger seems dopey to me at this point.

Right?

My wife wound up buying me a samsung tablet for this past christmas, its pretty cheap, it was like 140, and I actually like it better than I did my first gen nexus. Actually works pretty well.

Interesting article. Kinda parallels my fear that the game will be too big for its own good. I loved both asylum and city (and am currently suffering through origins) but city definitely had a feel that I was gliding back and forth across the entire city way too many times for my own good- especially towards the end. An even bigger map probably won't help that. Good to know that all the mechanics themselves are fun, but if the game world is as large as everyones been saying, I can definitely see myself getting burnt out over the course of the game if they have me going back and forth across town too often. I wasn't too excited at the batmobile mechanic to start with.

assassins creed syndicate now has the $10 bby cert bonus attached along with a release date of 10/23 thus ensuring that I will once again get it at release and trade it back in, hopefully getting all of my money back in the process. no companion app, no multiplayer, and a year of improving the engine makes it seems like it'll be pretty dope.

For you dlc lovers, there's a $90 version that comes with the season pass. After gcu it's $72 + $10 cert.

You're not trying to do the EU/Jpn ones, right? Is the trophy list showing up as 0% on your local console? Have you synced trophies? Why do you have such terrible trophy luck?
It's not just the cloud sync, though. When I try to go to the music store or read the community news, it tries to sign me in to the server and then gives the error message.

He used up all of his luck already.
Obviously.

Based on how Unity has been running I am fairly excited to play it as well at launch. Especially with the bonus which will make it a free rental most likely. No MP? Perfect! Although playing with Munky and Gator last night was fun.

As long as there's no "Spider-Man, catch my balloon waaaaaaaaaaaaaah" quests, I'll be fine.

Yet another game I should have included in the Best Buy glitchfest.

It's been there for a little while, at least since Saturday when I preordered it during the glitch.

Yeah I am gonna wait this time. It didnt take long for Unity to be $20.

I am not sure what was more fun. Listening to each other bitch about the problems we were having in single player or the simultaneous bitching about how we were getting worked in that second co-op level.

It's nice having some people to corroborate the non-suckiness of unity. The game's pretty good! I'd bet that the severe bugs hit a pretty small (but vocal) minority. I crashed a couple times, had some fps drag on that one building and fell through the ground once before they started patching.

And the coop is definitely fun when it clicks, but since I mostly played with randoms it was hard to get it to click.

Well done to the Lightning for this beautiful gem of 8-bit awesomeness, plus bonus points for chiptunes Metallica:

Damn, I didnt even know about this. Thats fuck ing awesome! The guys that run the Lightning are really great. They do all kinds of things for the community and for the fans at games. The owner was basically given a part of the port of Tampa to revitalize because he is an awesome businessman.

Also, they put tesla coils in the ceiling to generate real lightning for the pre game. Its pretty cool too.

Does Omega Quintet still suck, Mild?
Nope! I'm skipping the story which helps. The battle system is starting to get pretty satisfying - it basically encourages you to plan one massive onslaught (harmonics) in big battles with chains of one weapon / attack type in to another. Surprisingly deep. There's also some free dlc which gives you a decent amount of starting cash to upgrade with so you don't have your outfits breaking constantly. There's very little monster defense to be found when you're just wearing panties and a bra everywhere.

I probably shouldn't say this since I will jinx myself, but it is been the most bug free version of an AC game that I have played so far. Not a single crash, no noticeable slowdowns, and just in general no technical issues at all. It is still an AC at heart so the maddening seemingly random free-running controls are still there. The chests with the lock-picking I have already railed on but still hate. The online co-op was really fun last night and I kind of wish they kept that model. I like online when working together for common goals. Wolfpack mode can still go fuck itself, so it being gone makes it better than most in the series by itself.

Here's gameplay:

Looks like a walking simulator. But, you know, with flying and swimming added in. This is from the PC version, but hopefully they've improved the PS4 version because the pop-in is kinda bad for this type of game.

I started Unity last night. I got to sequence 2-2, right after you
escape the prison
. I'm an admitted huge AC fanboy, but I think it's great. The graphics are a noticeable step up from Black Flag, and I can already tell the climbing is the best in the series so far.

Wolfpack was really fun when playing with a good group, but I was a fan of the original brotherhood mp and sank dozens of hours into it just playing for fun. wolfpack was not super fun when just using it to grind xp.

I am just not a fan of competitive MP in the least. So even when I was really playing Wolfpack with some friends, it just was not fun to me. I am sure my opinion is even lower than it should be due to using it for XP grinding too though.

AC multiplayer was super fun even if people were playing "wrong" (Sprinting to get 100 pt kills)

I think they might've priced it too high for most buyers at $25.
Yeah. Looks like $10-15 would have been better.

Not sure if anybody cares about PSASBR, but this DLC bundle is mispriced at $2 instead of $10:

The PS3 version is $10, the Vita version is $2. Seems to be cross-buy. Gives you Isaac Clarke from Dead Space, Zeus from GoW, and a Graveyard stage from MediEvil that turns into something from Unfinished Swan.

PS3 version ($10): https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/ps-all-stars-ps3-isaac-clarke-zeus-and-graveyard-pack/cid=UP9000-BCUS98472_00-PSASISAACZEUSGRA

It got a little dumb when they started adding stuff like animus hacks.

But that feeling when you're stealth stalking a target in brotherhood and you notice someone in the incoming crowd veer a little too close to you and two seconds later you drop dead from poison within feet of your target. Sweet.

So you Wander in Wander?

Stop making AC Unity sound cool...I already planned on skipping it!

That PSABR DLC looks kind of sort of cool for $2.

Unity is cool. But you can probably skip it and play the next one which so far sounds like it'll be better in every possible way.

Yeah poison kills gove a stupid anount of points but its like the last thing you unlock. Puts you at a disadvantage if you actually wanna win.

As much as we were bitching, we were still having fun in the long run. As much as I bitched about the mission I was on it was still really satisfying finally beating it. This AC has done a better job than the last few at feeling rewarding for beating a mission.

And as we keep saying it helps that the game has very few graphical flaws and glitches. If it were a woman I would say its real fine.

Finished TWAU last night.  It was decent, but I don't get the hype at all.

And for the love of god, will telltale ever put out a game that runs smooth???  These games aren't exactly pushing consoles to their limits...
