still trying to get this damn baby boomer trophy, it must just be random. iv tried to hurt them til 1 hit point left to see if they spawn babies faster and iv killed them right when they spawn, etc and closest iv got was 39... cmon give me this clit! I need it!

just keep playing the levels over and over on random. if it doesn't have crates just start over. pandas are rare but they pop out of the crates. my wife and kids were screaming with me last night as we kept trying to bait this idiot into the pandas and finally we got it :) I even turned on the mic and was like cmon man, just let the pandas run you over! but he kept dodging them, lol, til the end ;)

I didn't like Oblivion that much, I hated the leveling system and all the cave dungeon environments looked like they were random generated they were so bland. The combat was also pretty lackluster. That's the only Bethesda developed game I've played in the past two systems. I purchased the Fallout 3 GOTY edition when it was cheap at BB, but then when I read about all the horrible bugs in it I returned it without opening it. Not another penny toward another Bethesda developed console game unless it runs swimmingly.

 
I'm not too worried about FO3, NV, and Skyrim, all of which I plan to get to eventually. It's nice that the PC versions have massive amounts of fan patches and mods and such.

Though now that Steam has started monetizing mods I've no idea whether those things are going to remain available. I know they started off the mod monetization with Skyrim but don't know if it's expanded yet, and whether the important mods have been moved to that system only or if they're still available for free.  :whistle2:k

 
Fallout 3 is awesome for what Ive played of it. I've only had one crash (again, no excuses), but it autosaves enough that it wasn't a big deal. I guess until it corrupts my save, so I'll cloud save now and then. We'll see how it goes later on when the save file gets larger.

If anyone wants just the extras for ~$13 and has both Amazon Prime and PUR Pro at Gamestop, you can buy that and trade in the game to Gamestop for $27.20 after bonuses by Sunday.

With Bethesda developed games, often the GOTY edition is the most screwed up of all. That's at least the case with Oblivion GOTY (which has a bug in the "stop being a Vampire Quest") and Fallout 3 GOTY. That's partly because by the time it's released, they started moving on to the next project and don't provide any resources to fix new bugs which have cropped up in the GOTY editions.

 
I've played through FO3 three times on the PS3 (plat, old account), FO3 GOTY on 360 (all cheevos),  NV on 360 (beat it), NV GOTY on PS3 (plat + all DLC)

Vanilla versions of both FO3 on PS3 and NV on 360 seemed to have similar issues (getting stuck, stability issues).  I didn't have any problems that I remember with the FO3 GOTY on 360.  The NV GOTY on PS3 was absolute shit but I stuck with it because...... fallout?

Yeah, so what Owl is saying is... fuck Bethesda!  If it werent for the Elder Scrolls and Fallout name no one would play their games.  They are really lucky they can use that as their selling point.

The weird thing is that Bethesda has quite a few good games they publish.  It's only the Bethesda Game Studios stuff that actually sucks. You'd think their name studio would be held to at least the same standards as the other ones.

Simple: Play for fun while boosting trophies. Then boot it up randomly for a match or two when bored ala awesomenauts and airmech.

The only "bug" I had on 360 was when my character started walking at a snail's pace. Later I found out it was because I was carrying too much stuff; once I dropped items, I was walking and running just fine. Otherwise, game ran well for me.

To those who never played a Fallout game, I recommend another title that is a cross between Fallout and Doom and has some of the best graphics and controls I've ever played in a video game:

Use the tactics option and tell a monkey to go to the detonator. I found it way more reliable.

I probably liked the tweet and have no plans to get the game unless it is free on plus. I just like the idea of most games having plats if they are more than just a quick 2 hour long game regardless if I am going to play them or not. Some others seem to have a difference in view on that but the more games with plats the better, IMO.

Even if people do want to get it just for boosting and not for really playing the online religiously, what does it really matter? I don't understand why anyone would care why/how others decide to play a game they own.

I want to play the game with people, not boost it. If people are going to play for fun then I have some friends to play it with. But if it's going to be a boost fest here I'll probably pass.
 
just tried another 2 hours on baby boomer. i can get to 39, but no way 40 babies. RAGE! this must just be random with how soon they start spawning, but i just can't get this plat... i have 98% tho...once they figure out/patch this baby boomer, the CLIT is mine.

The show is hilarious. I thought one guy was going to attack Ramsey. The dude just went psycho and got up in Ramsey's face for no reason at all.

I mean, it's not a cooking show at all and Ramsey acts like a complete douche, but it's what reality television is all about, so...

I know some of HBO's shows, but what does Showtime have that's worth seeing?

Also wondering when PS4 and FireTV will be getting HBO Now. Once it is on those devices I'll do the trial.
