Finished Batman Arkham Origins. Game was pretty great. Loved the ending.

Will try to get started on Infamous Second Son tonight.

I'm not saying I will, but if I was to maybe try and go for the Platinum in this game any tips? I'm guessing you guys normally read over the trophy list before starting up a game? Don't get your hopes up I still might not go for the Plat. We'll see.
There's a helpful trophy guide at PSNP: http://psnprofiles.com/guide/454-inFAMOUS-Second-Son-Trophy-Guide

I recommend doing the evil playthrough first unless you want to feel depressed (maybe) when you're done.

I havent gotten the plat, but I believe most people do the good play through first and then the evil second, it should help a little that way.

Other than that I think its fairly straight forward.
Yep and get misc items and such as you go through the story so its less of a grind at the end. You will have to grind a bit in the arenas or whatever they call them after the end of the story anyway.

jkam will be playing Second Son, not First Light. There aren't any arenas in SS.

Lol, PS Blog accidentally said Tearaway on PS4 is going to be $40.
I certainly hope it's not more than $40.
It has some cool box art:

I can see looking up answers when you get stumped, but looking up answers before you get stumped???

I've run into a couple that I am stumped with and I'll probably end up looking those up, but for now I moved on and will try them again later.
I looked up around five of them. The difficulty level was just about right, IMO. I used the guide for all the trophies, though.

Just use the guide. It's very straightforward. A bit monotonous because clearing every section gets pretty repetitive, though.

Playing Strider again, 3 out 4 playthroughs are done. Need Hard difficulty & all Collectibles.

Also, hi Colin and Greg!

How long do you think it took you to finish Origins? I'm debating if I want to try to finish it before Arkham Knight comes out.
Probably about 10-12 hours. I pretty much went straight story though. I think it's doable. I too wanted to get it in before Knight. Now the question is if I can squeeze in Infamous Second Son before that as well.

Play First Light instead if you think the time is a bit of a crunch. FL is the better game, can be finished quickly, and stands alone. Then play SS later on when you want to see more of Fetch but while playing a much shittier character.

Lol, I don't want to ruin story though...I heard FL is better but should be played 2nd? I think SS will be doable before knight but maybe only 1 playthrough. It think it all depends on how much I can do upfront, hopefully I can start it tonight with and hour or 2.

I started Swapper last night after finishing my auto pop fun. Swapper has some great atmosphere and the puzzles are pretty cool. I knew going in that I would use a guide though as I cant play puzzle games for long without getting frustrated and bored.

Yeah, guide on the first playthrough.

There's no point in playing a puzzle game like that with a guide on your first playthrough unless you're just pharming trophies.

You need to get good at games bro.

Like Vig said Axiom Verge won't be on sale until at least October and I highly doubt it drops any more than 50%. It's an awesome game though.
They will likely both be free on plus at one point. I know some people say that about everything, but it seems like every game that has been one of those Play promotions has ended up on Plus later.

It doesn't. It just spoils the backstory of one of the secondary characters (the one FL focuses on.) FL takes place prior to the events in Second Son.

If you're just going through the story then yeah don't worry about it, SS is short. Though as somebody else said, Evil ends pretty shitty so be prepared for that whenever you do the Evil run.

BTW, finished Dust last night. 3 trophies left--the tough/hardcore one, the one for finding all 12 friends, and the one for getting 4 stars in all the challenges. I'd hoped that switching to tough right before the end would give me that trophy but it didn't work (the question was asked on the guide forum but had no response.)

Not sure if I'll bother with the other two trophies since I'm not going to run through the game again for the tough/hardcore one. :whistle2:k

Still not sure whether to move on to Escape Goat 2 or Strider next. I hadn't realized Strider requires multiple playthroughs, but at least it looks like a small time requirement for the Normal < 4 hours run.

Hope your kid is doing okay, Velo. Medical stuff sucks in general, but especially with kids.
My kid is great, thank you. Sleeping on hospital couches sucks tho. i played gunslugs all night. Can't get stupid Scarlett Sonya to appear at all.

I missed the hooker discussion. I know lots of hookers, i practically am one. I managed a shady hotel for 5 years and we would always have at least 3-5 girls working there/living there. They are nice girls. lots of junkies. i had a few pimp friends, but they are mostly assholes. Bail girls out for dumb drug charges and then they make them work for them forever and buy them cars and computers and take most of their money. craigslist/backpage escorts. usually $100/hour. i chilled with a few, makes you sad really. but hookers have to fuck whomever knocks on their door really. I get to choose who I want to work with. but yeah for lots of the girls i 'work' with its the same thing, they come over and we fool around and i give them cash and they leave. but it's 'different'. I can't wait for all these religious laws to be gone. Absurdity of consensual crimes in a free society. Ain't nobodies business. peace n love guys

That's great news! See Fridays rule!

oh yeah and we don't have cable tv and so we had the tv on in there the whole time. some finneas and ferb marathon. that was awesome but it melts my brains. and my daughter is great but she kept telling them her pain was only a 2. im like at least say a 5. my friend had a surgery also a few days ago, had 3 discs taken out and 4 metal plates fused to his verterbrae or some crazy stuff like that. He was the other dude in the couple that came over last thursday. sucks but that means they can't come over for at least a month or so. and yeah pitfalls been on a wang post bender :)

my daughter is on a liquid diet for at least 2 weeks, so that sucks. and nothing hard like crackers or anything for almost 2 months. sucks but at least she can breathe out her nose and eventually smell stuff soon. hopefully it helps with her sleep apnea too so she doesnt have to use this stupid cpap mask thing when she sleeps anymore.

Just finishing up production on our hip new rap filled training video. Just need to edit in a few more Max Hedrom & Hyper Color references and we'll be good to go.
Liked for Max Headroom. Out of curiosity I netflixed the entire Max Headroom series and it is surprisingly decent considering its a show about the future made in the 80's.

I just noticed Tyler's poll title and all the double entendres it contains. My answer still remains the same however. Well played.

Tales of Zestiria is coming out on PS4/PS3 on October 16 and PC October 20.

Edit: oops, old news? Oh well, it was new to me!

i don't really care about boss revenge mode, but i'm glad the roguelike mode made it. it sounds like a lot of fun, and like it could almost be its own game.
