Weird thing with my trophy streaks is that my longest one of 120ish days had like 500 trophies and I was doing what you guys were... seeing which games I could get a quick trophy in on days that I hadn't played much. I realized after it ended that it was kind of stupid.

I can tell I'm gaming a lot more lately because this streak I'm on now has less days and twice as many trophies. I've pretty much told myself I'm gonna let it die when it dies and not go the life support route like last time but playing as much as I have been, something always seems to turn up. With summer here I know it won't last much longer.
Yeah, my longest streak was 104 days and I definitely had some days where I got an easy trophy as well (looking at you, Jeopardy!). Still, it would have been awesome if I didnt fall asleep one night boosting MKX and had been able to keep the streak going till my wedding. Hopefully Arkham Knight will get the trophies going again for me, I've been moving at a snail's pace the last 5-6 weeks.

I usually don't get caught up in birthdays and holidays because to me they're just another day, but today has definitely been a good day.

Hoping the rest of you, dads and everyone else alike, just plain had a good day.

Holy shit. A bank of america intern died after working 72 hours straight. In response Goldman Sachs put a cap on their interns working 17 hours a day! Wow. I always wanted to work for Goldman cause once your in you make bank. But damn man! Not sure that's worth it. No wonder they use a lot of coke. Can't stay awake otherwise.

7 hours of non-stop bolt gathering and it's still like 70k short. This trophy is insane. Why would they put it that high? Crazy devs.

Are you crazy? No offense, but you definitely don't seem like the super-ambitious go-getter that would fit in at Goldman Sachs. One of the guys in my MBA class got a job there, he made it sound awful. The money and prestige and resume builder are all great, but I'm not one that is going to work 12 hour day minimums. fuck that, I have a life to live.

uh yeah thats why i don't work there. 17 hours a day is their new cap. 12 hours is nothing. I can do that as I used to work 10-12 a lot.

I agree with this post but but also hate it... it's my burden to bear as a KZ fan.
Shadow Fall is my first Killzone game other than the 10 minutes I played of the second one when I first got my PS3. Jumped right into the MP and don't really like it. Almost immediately started playing with bots after that. Luckily everything can be done with bots now so it's less time consuming.

I just hate how slow and clunky everything feels. Sprinting in this game makes me feel like I'm still moving at half the speed I do in other shooters.

Also this lumines trophy is broke as broke can be. There's apparently a patch that fixed it so it isn't ridiculous that only was released in the EU? whatever. still a sweet game.

I'm bored:

Watch golf.

It's so weird that golf is still on. I'm so used to it wrapping up around 5pm, I guess basically 99% of the tournaments are on the east coast or something...

This commentary team sucks.
I told you. The fox coverage has been terrible. Most of the time they seem to stop talking mid sentence then there would be silence as the other guys wait thinking they didn't finish their thought.

And yeah avenged NBC has great coverage. Jim nantz and team are awesome too during the masters.

Never been a huge Jim Nantz fan personally, he just seems to have one of those extremely fake personalities. Pairing him with the fucktard known as Phil Simms for NFL also doesn't help.

I went and blew out my garage for the first time since moving in 3 years ago, it was disgusting.

I missed the trophy awarding and everything, I'll have to look up what Speith said about the course. I know he's been bitching already. To be fair that course was nasty. Way to represent with your first time hosting. Everything Seattle/Washington sports related sucks. Also I think there was something on fire during Day 2 of the tournament.

I didn't have a problem with the feel or the mechanics. I think it plays real smooth and love it; I just hate the devs for continuing with their broken matchmaking and stupid game design decisions like "no voice chat" that had to be patched in at a later date because everyone told them how stupid they were for doing it. I did everything in real matches (no boosting) and loved every minute of it but it was obvious towards the end of my run that the community was starting to thin out. It might not have been as noticeable during the normal hours of the day, but it was definitely noticeable during the morning hours when I played. I've never had trouble playing at these hours with AAA games, which is what KZ is supposed to be but they seem to fuck it up a little more with each entry.

Thankfully, GG is moving on to something else... but that could be good or bad. Hopefully someone takes over that can take what was good about the series and capitalize on it because there is so much more potential with this series. It seems weird to say that with it being as popular as it is, but it really should be better than this.

I'm both relieved and sad that I no longer need to play Gwent in Witcher 3 after getting Card Collector.

The Final Fantasy XV demo feels so much better with the 2.0 update--the lock-on during battle actually works now, the new dodge-roll move feels great and natural to use, and Cross Chains are awesome.

Doing some more cleaning, and stumbled on this ps3 memory card adapter I have. Apparently it sells for a decent price on ebay. So weird, I was going to just throw it away

Don't know what to think about Alice: Madness Returns. The story was pretty good and the art style and level design were great, but the actual combat was kinda bland though mostly competent. You start with just a knife which is a fairly high damaging, short range weapon (press square) and then you gain more as you play. A wooden hobby horse which you use as a giant, overhead slamming hammer (press triangle), and a gatling gun and grenade launcher which you only have so many shots before they overheat and then you have to wait to fire them again. You also get a remote mine which doubles as a decoy that enemies will attack instead of you.

The hobby horse is pretty pointless as it is slow, does not do that much damage or have that big of splash damage even when fully upgraded. If it knocked back enemies or stunned enemies it would have a purpose. But particularly once you gain access to the grenade launcher it really becomes pretty useless as it does more damage and has a bigger blast radius. By comparison the knife is so quick if I am getting surrounded it is preferable to slash a few times and then switch lock on targets and slash the other, fire a volley of grenade at point blank range, or just use the short range teleport of R2 to get away. I wish the melee component of the combat wasn't so shallow.

Doing lots of nature stuff out here in Mountain Time (Wyoming), but have had some Vita time too. Finally playing Hotline Miami for real. Definitely a cool, difficult game. Pretty addicting. Now to sleep and off to Yellowstone tomorrow.
