You missed the important part though:

But seriously though, spectator mode should be awesome. Should make streams easier to watch. I'll grab the pack and throw some money towards the devs, game was really well done.
yeah I'm always happy to buy some dlc from a good free game (ps+ or otherwise) as a tip. rocket league can have my four bucks.

Sony sold 3 million PS4s last quarter, compared to 1.4 million X1 & X360s (combined) for Microsoft.

In the US it's a pretty dead heat anymore, but globally Sony is starting to run away with this gen.

Those are shipped, not sold #s.

Neogaf has a good chart showing global numbers, ps4 is like 10 million ahead of the one globally. Thats pretty huge.

This game is coming to PS4 in the US in October. I guess right now it's only available in Asia? Weird.

(for Munky: it's called One Upon Light)

Looks like ZombiU (now just Zombi) is confirmed for other platforms, and coming in like 3 weeks.

Pretty much the last WiiU exclusive I wanted to see ported over, but better than nothing I guess. Also one of the few that ever had any real chance since it wasn't published by Nintendo.

Download only. They say it's scary, but it mostly just looks like action to me. Anyone played it, is it actually scary?

This is possibly the worst idea ever.
It is the worst. All that will accomplish is games in a similar style always winning the voting. I think they do a good job picking various genres now. A lot of those may not be games I would want to play, but this could mean that always happens. Yes, I know it means I could always win out too, but I don't think that is good for the service.

Oh, nice. PS+ might be about to get a voting system to help choose which games go free. The leaders that don't get selected will get a discount.

Nothing officially announced yet, obviously, so no telling if it will actually happen, but they made a video about it that leaked briefly before they took it down.
Grow Home being on there is pretty cool though. I think that game looks pretty sweet, hope it does make it to PS4.

Tyler, I wasn't able to catch your stream of Legend of Kay--what do you think of it?
I shouldn't have streamed the beginning while in a party chatting with munky and having viewers. It has a Zelda-esque opening, where you wander around a town, learn all your moves, complete a bunch of fetch quests, and side qeusts. I wasn't paying attention to the game so I was kind of just wandering around looking for places to trigger new quests and stuff. I didn't even get out of the village in the hour or so I played.

I'll play it more tonight and give you a real impression.

Damn, GS is selling all those copies of OOT 3DS that got traded in this week for $55. I want a copy, but I don't know if I want a copy quite that bad.

I dunno, I guess it matters more what they put up for selection and how they do it. In the graphic they had three games - maybe there'll just be one 'community' pick (maybe one pick per platform?) and the others will be business as usual. but yeah, if they put up an fps, platformer and driving game every month then we'll get the same style game every month. if they put up slutty graphic powerhouses vs pixelated indies the slut will win probably every time. if they put 20 year old ps3 games up against day one indies inexplicably the ps3 games will win by a landslide. will they have accompanying videos for people to watch to help with the decision? who knows. I'm willing to give it a shot. hopefully they're cool about the selection process.

if anything it'll be funny as the blog comments go from 'shitty indie free games' to 'shitty ps+ voting options with shitty indie free games'.

Topside is smarter than you.

Here's the standings for the first vote:

So it's an action beat 'em up, a "role-playing strategy board game", and a 3D platformer. Though I wouldn't personally vote for it, the role playing strategy board game (Armello) never stood a chance. I'd wager to bet that every month the most action-based game is always going to win. While I like most action games fine, I also like the variety that Plus brings. I agree with you, we'd lose a lot of the variety if this was a recurring thing every month.

Also, while most of us would probably do a bit of research on voting, the vast majority of voters are only going to look at the name and the image before making up their mind. I don't really want our Plus games decided that way, I'd rather have the crew at Sony make the decision for us, I think it would be at least a bit better informed decision.

Maybe they can do it where they put similar genre's against each other.

Like for your PS4 game you can have this action adventure or this action adventure. And also this indie puzzle game or this indie puzzle game.

For PS3 you can vote for either this old FPS or this old FPS.

Seems a good way to make sure we get a variety of genres while still making the idiot public think they have a say in it.

Not sure where to post this but Wind Waker Wii U HD is $38 @ Amazon. If those inflated TIVs happen tomorrow through Sunday and they stack with the 50% it would be worth $56 in a trade-in at GS. Probably a ton of other options but $38 is still a deal anyway if anyone is looking for a copy.

Possibly. Odds are good the stupidity of the masses will result in wrong choices every time, but there's no reason to believe we wouldn't have gotten a poor choice anyway. At least we'd still get discounts on the other ones with this approach.

Where are these numbers coming from?

You guys are probably right, the most likely outcome is a train wreck because people are idiots. But I'm still curious to see it in action. Beaides lately I've only been drawn to 1 or 2 plus games per month so the thought of the potential for steering that is a little appealing.

Edit - plus it has the possibility at least of dodging games so many people bought on sale/doubles like this month. ascension probably still would've won if it was put up against woah dave, but maybe not against bayonetta. limbo almost certainly would've been shut down.

Decided to run by Taco Bell. Got 4 crunchy tacos. Woman asked if I wanted sauce, I said "8 packets of fire." She gave me one.

fuck

Should have gone Tuesday.

The PS+ voting seems like a good idea to be a part in picking the months game but I can see it turning out to be terrible. People will flip flop their vote and I'm sure people will still complain about the games. Sony is never going to please all PS+ subscribers especially all the idiots that post on the blog that bitch and moan every month.

You guys are taking the voting thing too seriously. It won't be a vote on more than 1-2 game slots and the vote will only go up for a set of games that they're already considering anyway. You're not going to see TLoU:R thrown in with two indies or anything stupid like that. It'll be three games of around the same cost to Sony and all three will probably end up as PS+ titles eventually whether they get voted on or not.

Hotline Miami Plat just in time for Jugular July ;)

That was fun til grinding out the ground kills :)

I tore it up this month with 9 games completed.

I also should have tried for the hotline miami plat (Trophy Addict) as my 15,000th instead of Bayonetta's plat (Acquire all Trophies) but whatever

Well I'm driving in circles in Rocket Lesgue right now. I got 29 miles so far and Pharm the penny holding R2 works really well. How many miles did it take for the trophy to pop for the people that got it?

Figured I do this now before the patch comes out.

I think it was around 78 miles? I know mine popped somewhere under 82ish.
