The wife and I watched Interstellar tonight. It was okay but way too long. Was the sound really off for anyone else? Kept having to adjust the volume during the entire movie. I followed along with the timelines pretty well but it definitely was not Nolan's best film.

I remember being annoyed by the sound. I think the problem i had was the voices/conversations were too low, so I would turn up the volume. Then get blasted by the music score and sound effects.
 
In case anyone was wondering about the Rocket League far far away trophy after the patch, I JUST got it with only 60km on 1 set of tires. This is after the patch too. So it was not fixed.

I am not sure how I am alive much less stone cold sober after all the beer I drank.  Everyone overruled me and we just went with the odd number years of the 6 bottles I brought.  I am glad they did though.  That beer was liquid diabetes.  I do not know how the fuck a 15% ABV beer can still be that fucking sweet.  I will try to remember to post the pic of what all we drank after I get some sleep.

How did I not even get a buzz when I started drinking at 3pm and stopped at 2am?  I guess that is a good thing since I was not worried about driving the mile home at all.  My friend who came in from Alabama was trashed.  He recently lost 150lbs and his tolerance must have been reduced along with his weight.  Good thing his wife was with him and she was good to go to drive them back home.

Hell of a fun night with good people and outstanding beer.  I wish we could get a group together like that a lot more often.

Usually I don't put a lot of weight on reviews for movies like that because they're reviewed by people who wouldn't like that type of movie in the first place, but it's getting absolutely obliterated by the critics and the trailers look pretty bad so no interest over here.

Here's a quote I read a few days ago:

"Vacation is, minute to minute, one of the most repellent, mean-spirited gross-out comedies it’s ever been my squirmy displeasure to sit through."

Yeah, I loved the Vacation series (we probably watch Christmas Vacation 4-5 times each year around the holidays) but this new one just does not look good at all. Definitely not seeing it in theaters.

I'm with tyler on this one, a bit or hit or miss but I'm only 3 episodes in. I guess it's funny enough that I'll watch the rest.

 
That new Scientology movie was good.  Fantastic cast, unbelievable stunts and pretty much non-stop action.  A bit predictable at times, but you're not seeing Mission Impossible for the story.

 
My Pinburgh tournament effort ended on Friday night. Didn't qualify for the playoffs. But I did tie Roger Sharpe, so that's cool. One of our league guys made it to the A semifinals, though, which was awesome. Spent yesterday mostly watching those playoffs and finals. Going to go back today for a bit to fit in some more games and then head home.

My brother is one of those.

Not me though; Christmas is good but the original is a classic. I think everyone in here probably knows by now what my Christmas movie of choice is.

Probably because it's a Christmas tradition in their household, whereas Vacation is just a movie they watch.

 
These stories that you find in Shadows of the Damned are pretty damn funny. Just busted out laughing at the end of The Legend of Stinky Crow.
 
Is it just me or did they change some of the items in Rocket League? The Cherry Top seems different. I thought it looked like a red lightbulb before, but it looks like an actual police siren now.

I have received like 5 friends requests from random people while playing Borderlands 2 over the last 2 weeks or so. It is weird. They don't even say can you help me with this or that. I did have one guy message me telling me to trade him a certain gun for a certain gun though.
