We bought A Charlie Brown Christmas on Amazon instant because we can't find our DVD. Now we won't have that problem any more. Unless the internet is out. One thing's for sure is that that show is great, but the other shorts you get with it seem to imply that Charles Shultz just got lucky with A Charlie Brown Christmas.

I guess my trophies didn't sync. I got a few more in Geometry Wars yesterday afternoon, but they aren't showing even if I update my trophy card. Damn you, unreliable automatic trophy syncing!

Apparently in the EU Resogun Vita *is* cross-buy with PS4 version. At least that's what some EU guy says. Would be nice if it turned out that way here.

I find it more reliable to update your trophies directly from PS4 or Vita. Its so quick now that you dont need to rely on the plus benefit of auto synch. I never manually updated in the PS3 days because it was so fast and easy (like my women) as we all know.

You seem to play like I do and stick pretty much to 1 game at a time. So I would not let the 8GB card be a hold up, if I were you. I can understand holding out for a better game though. I had no interest in Borderlands either.
True, though it just feels so wrong to buy a "next gen" handheld with half the initial storage space of my PSP GO.

Those of you who picked up Freedom Wars, what's the verdict? I let my BB copy go (never picked it up), but now it's on sale again for the same price, so I ordered it again. Should I pick it up or naw?

My last job was a tech company that saw no outside people, and we had to wear dress pants and collared shirts everyday, unless it was Friday, where we could wear jeans with our collared shirts.  fucking ugh.

Now I can wear pretty much whatever I want as long as it's not shorts and profane or Walmart.  Like wearing my Packer jersey on gameday or a taco shirt because tacos rule.

Also weather update for pharm,

Only wore a light spring jacket today that I didn't even have to zip up walking from my parking ramp.  A delicious 38 degrees right now with a light mist. Contemplating not even wearing the jacket home.

The time limits for platinum rank are weird in this game. Some are REALLY tight like Sandman which I was really booking it and beat it by less than a minute and others like Vulture I can beat with 16 minutes to spare. Considering they put in a scoring system for combo rating, time limit, and spider emblems picked up to increase replayability, I think it is strange that it doesn't save your highest combo rating, most emblems collected, and lowest completion time so that you can attempt to beat it. It just saves when you attain a platinum rank in one of the 3 categories. 8 of 12 platinumed levels done.

I would peg the difficulty of the plat closer to a 6 or 7, not 5. Some of it is time consuming as you have to replay levels up to 4 times if you don't get all the collectable stuff in one run, but some of it like the time limits on hard difficulty are legitimately hard and require a good knowledge of the combo system to kill quickly.

The splinter cell-esque levels are tough on hard because guns kill you VERY quickly in the sneaking sections and he is the physically weakest of the 4 spider-man's (both in HP and punching power), but they still have him engage in fisticuffs.

I haven't played much yet but it was immediately engaging for the first couple of hours. And I've yet to see a single negative comment about it--everybody who I've talked to is loving it.

So yeah, grab that at $15 for sure, or $12 if you have GCU.

Hm. I was tempted to pick up Killer is Dead during the Steam sale since it's ~$6 and guardian_owl just bought it. He generally has good taste. Watching gameplay, though, it is super super colorful and messy and I think it would be hard to follow because of how crazy the visuals are.

Anybody that's actually played the game want to weigh in on it? The visual problem I'm talking about starts around the 4m mark of this video:

Yeah, that's kind of hard to look at. I wonder if they haven't blown out the color on the video, but I don't know.

This Majora's Mask preorder paperweight is kind of cool, so of course it's not coming to the US.

Well fuck . After the repeated mentions that you have about 2 weeks to get trade-ins to Amazon, I was being pretty relaxed about sending Yakuza 4 in. I submitted the trade-in on the 15th; turns out that even though you have 2 weeks for the item to be delivered and still count, they remove the option to print your mailing label after a week. The only way to send it in at this point would be to cancel and re-trade, it looks like...but the value dropped from $11 to $7 since I set it up.  :wall:

Hot native American women...though probably not actually native american, and just racist.

Zimm had the easiest final puzzle I've ever seen last night in Wheel of Fortune. After the initial RSTLNE, the puzzle read "TREE R--TS". Plus he had a wild card so he could choose an extra letter, so it was even more ridiculous. At least he didn't win the million dollar prize.

This hate on Zimm getting lucky in a game is so bizarre and hilarious.

The amazon trade in FAQ has the method to get around that in the op. Short version - create a new random trade, choose to print that label, and then swap the TRN- number (trade in id shown in your open trade ins) in the address bar.

Glad you mentioned this, looks like my mlb 09 trade got stuck in an open state so I can still send that in. Hooray!

We have a client whose name is Pham.  Every time I see an email and they talk about Mr Pham, I think for a second that someone found me.  The horror!

The red shift? It's a super move, adrenaline burst, that you pull off when your blood gauge is full, it red shifts, it does all those slashes for you, and then it goes back to live. It instantly dispatches weaker enemies and does lots of damage to stronger enemies, but doesn't work if they are blocking, they have to be dazed. Or are you talking about the cacophony of color that is the candied boss chamber?

It is supposedly one of their lesser efforts, I mainly purchased it because I liked Shadows of the Damned, it looked interesting, and it's tough to beat a CE/LE at $10.

I couldn't believe that when it came up. Thought it must be some trick and that it couldn't possibly be that ricockulous. I'm guessing the game felt sorry for me for earlier when I entered "FRONT-END ALLINMENT" as a puzzle answer.

Yeah, that was probably one of the most boring streams you guys have ever seen!
It was just fine. Exactly like my streams. Except you need to turn down the in game volume a bit. There's ton of dialogue in that game and when you try and talk during the cutscenes it's pretty hard to hear you and distinguish what you are saying.

Fantastic tip, worked perfectly. Thanks!

Yeah, I was talking about the colors and visual style being rough on the eyes.

So Tyler,

Now that you finally have played Ethan after all the hemming & hawing you've done about buying it, what's your early verdict?

He will hate it at first and then wind up liking it. Because it looks like it was made by a high schooler with down syndrome.

I hope Sony has an awesome sale this week and an awesome Flash sale so I can buy more games that I won't play right away anyway, just so I can have the comfort of the ocean of backlogged games to lull me to sleep at night.

It's good so far. I completed the first world. I don't love the time-freezing block puzzles, but they've only popped up a couple times. The platforming works good and the collectibles have been fun so far. The game was made for the Vita, the touch controls work perfectly. Using analog sticks to control objects while time is paused would probably be quite a bit more cumbersome.

I'd like to try and 100% it, but the time runs might be a real pain in the ass.

Then regret it later when some to all of the games are either cheaper or free for PS+.

There's a lot more of those time-freezing puzzles later on, I believe. I only played it on PS3, so moving those blocks was shitty. I should maybe try again on Vita some day. I remember thinking it was not too bad after the first world as well, but then soured on it pretty quickly in world 2.

So enjoy the rest of the game!

Hmm....that's not great. Interested to see what World 2 looks like. I'll probably play some tonight, depending on if lame ass munky is still playing Destiny.
