Yeah I also got the feeling you wanted more rare games than I had. Most of my stuff is the action/horror genre. Anything I purchased new though was still near mint, as I told you I take care of my shit. I sold the haunting ground for a nice chunk of change.

Also is it just me or does anyone else cringe when people hold a disc by anything other than the center hole? I see people post pictures and videos of stuff they are selling and they senselessly manhandle it. Collectors don't want to wipe off thumbprints.
I didn't get really into survival horror until much later than the older systems so I don't hold a lot of Nostalgia for them. The ones you had were definitely interesting and intrigued me since theres nothing quite like them anymore, or even back in the day, but not enough to pay what they were worth. If I found them cheap at a sale sometime sure. I have too many games I'm actively seeking that I know I'm going to have to pay a premium for. Sorry I never really responded back.

Seeing fingerprints on the bottom of discs or people handle them in such a manner is definitey painful. Ugh.

Plus Dolphin has pretty low system requirements and can render the games at 1080p. For example:

Ascendant comes out September 8th. Was originally scheduled for this past Tuesday, but a million other awesome games come out that day so they pushed it two weeks.

As a non-collector and just someone who wanted to play, it would make sense to me to pay that much if you were a huge Gamecube fan and wanted the absolute best visuals possible. Except that Dolphin emulator stuff undoubtedly tops that now, so even with the $200 cord you're still not playing the game the best it can look.

I don't know anything about the legality of all that, whether if you own a disc copy you can legally play an emulated version or whatever.
Yea but if you wanted the best AUTHENTIC experience, youd have to have one of these magical cables.

Yeah, for a lot of people its as much about playing the games as they were originally intended as much as it is about the best quality. It helps that they often go hand in hand. I have all my older systems SNES, GENESIS, PS1, PS2, 64, GC all hooked up to a tuber. They just come out better in the format they were programmed for.

The experience is part of it too. I'm sure Dolphin can make games look incredible but playing a game on an old tuber with a first party Nintendo controller is worth more to me.

I'd really love one of these cables but theres no way I'd ever pay 200+. I'd probably be down for about a 100 though. I've been debating selling my PS4 copy of Retro City Rampage lately. That shits going for 150+ if you have all packet they shipped it with too, button and stuff. It was hitting 200s at one point. The Vita version isn't quite as much but the two of them paired together pulls a nice profit as well. I think I paid 25 for the PS4 copy and 30 for the Vita.

Damn. I definitely had the chance to pick up both of those and didn't pull the trigger on either just because it wasn't a game I liked enough to need a collector's edition of.

I would sell. I'm always afraid a reprint is going to happen to drop the price. Paid off for me on Metroid Prime Trilogy, I had a used but near mint copy and the value has tanked about 20% since the reprint.

Yeah I'm struggling for a few reasons, one being a reprint. Other being if the price actually jumps 200+ again I'll be salty. I don't like the game either and just bought it for collection purpose but at the prices its been at I'm A-OK with not having it in my collection. I'm more attached to the Vita copy actually just because I love the Vita and collecting weird shit for it. I import the Asian version of games with english subs that never get physical releases here. I also have that Class of Heroes 2G physical PS3 release, number 300 something of 3000 or something. That goes for about 100 as well. That ones definitely going.

The Metroid reprint didn't have steelbooks or the artbook right? That was a huge selling point for me so I wouldn't get rid of mine.

Dammit.  I was tempted to get Retro City Rampage too.  I liked the game and wanted to play it on PS4 but passed.  fuck

Thanks for looking out for us Cainiac!  What are you, 6?

After selling something valuable, I usually intentionally don't check future values. The bit of "oh cool I sold at the right time" definitely isn't worth the shitty feeling of "oh fuck I could have got so much more for it". So I try to just sell it and let it go completely.

Metroid reprint didn't have steelbook for sure, not sure about artbook. That's part of why it didn't tank all that much. Collectors would still want the original version. But with the reprint, those that just wanted it for the games were able to get it at a cheaper price which shifted everything downward a bit.

I have a kirby collection I need to get out of here. I think it was in the $70's for a while but it's back to the $60's now, so I think I may just wait longer.

I'm not sure why but when I hooked up my Vita 1000 to my car's bluetooth it would play the Vita's audio but it would spaz out and become garbled during gameplay. I played some RE: Revelations 2 today on lunch with my 2000 and said let me try this out...so I hooked it up to the bluetooth and low and behold it was flawless. Another 2000 perk?

Gator or anyone ever have Engine 15 Nut Sack or Great Divide Oatmeal Yeti?   I am also looking at Kulmbacher Reichelbrau Eisbock if I go to Dunderbaks.

Great policy to follow but I know I won't adhere to it. I sell/buy on eBay quite a bit so I'm always browsing everyday and constantly tend to check up on stuff I've sold, am still looking to sell, or looking to buy. The one thing I do never check though is things I've already bought. That actually has nothing to do with not wanting to feel burned though, its more about it being in my possession so it drops completely out of my mind. I wish it worked that way for shit I sold.

Also that Kirby game is phenomenal. And not just because Kirby is my all time favorite Ninty character.

Last-gen Mortal Kombat was canceled. It was foolish of them to ever bother with it in the first place.

I think MGS and Tomb Raider will be about the end of the line of last-gen stuff that's not sports related and maybe COD and BF.

Do you go out to drink alone? Is that enjoyable? I've never had the desire to do that.
I only go alone to Dunderbaks (dinner) since they have all these German and European beers you cant get anywhere else. Plus the food. If I go out just to drink Blue Moon or something then it would be with people of course. The guys I know are all married except the new kid that works here. I may go out with the "kid" and his friends later, but most likely not cause #oldman will probably be inside playing games and tired by that time.

I just checked and some guy sold a brand new Nintendo Component Cable for $510.

Its really incredible what a box and some plastic wrap will do for item value. I know I'm guilty of this myself, I never mind paying a little more for peace of mind that something is new.

Double though?

I am guessing your association fees are likely more than my maintenance costs and I dont share any walls with my neighbors.
This is true, but also on my side is a pool with tons of voluptuous 20-somethings right outside my door and the fact that I'm walking distance from NFL and NBA stadiums.

I'll give you the 20 somethings at the pool. I am not sure those NFL and NBA stadiums really count due to the city you live in.

The beer scene between my work and my drive home is fucking garbage. Admittedly it's a short drive, but there's 1 convenience store and two grocery stores. Neither of the grocery stores carry any beer (one is Family Dollar so I guess that's understandable) and I just stopped in the convenience store for the first time and the most exotic beer they had was a tie between Corona and Goose Island IPA.

There's another convenience store further down the road, it has slightly better selection but still not impressive at all. Ended up with some local pumpkin ale because I've never tried it before. It tastes fine as long as you don't smell it. Doesn't really taste like pumpkin.

Little known by most the Jp amiibo are a few millimeters shorter than their NA counterparts. It's hard to see unless you compare a JP and NA figure side by side then it becomes pretty apparent. Hope you're happy paying more for less, hahaha!
Serious business!
