I didn't expect to enjoy Dokuro as much as I did. It has a really great mix of creative puzzles, great boss fights, awesome art design, and a surprisingly long campaign (~14 hours). The trophy list is also pretty robust and not too difficult aside from one or two grindy ones.

Looks like Friday night at the Mexican restaurant is a new family tradition; this is the third week in a row. Works for me; I have no problem with fajitas and Dos Equis. The wife and I need to come up with a rotation, though, because this is the third Friday in a row where she's gotten a large Pina Colada which means she ain't driving.

I only picked up La Pucelle and I'll probably just emulate the PSP version anyway. La Pucelle: Ragnarok has more content (think the PSP/Vita versions of Disgaea) and the fan translation doesn't have all the crosses and Christianity references censored out. I'd much rather that Ragnarok had been localized and play that legit, but in the absence of a legal translation picking up the PS2 classic will have to do. :(

Omega for $12 would seem like a decent deal if not for the weeks of complaining about it I'd already seen in here.

I've seen people spend $12 on worse stuff, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're jrpg starved. The main story takes about 30 hours on the hardest difficulty if you skip all the skits and with very good tracking of what you've done. The difficulty spikes were high enough to get me to shell out a few bucks for the game breaking dlc instead of grinding for 10-20 hours.

Yeah Dokuro is great.

Making taco soup and I added an onion. First time I've chopped an onion in quite a while; I'd forgotten how incredibly bad dry eyes do with that. It actually hurt. Probably the only real downside to getting lasik a few years back.

Now I'm drinking screwdrivers and soon my super spicy soup will be ready. The wife is gone for the weekend so I decided to take a trip back to a typical weekend 5-10 years ago when I used to do this all the time. Spice high, drunk, and gaming should be a fun weekend.

I swear certain people at my work intentionally send emails after hours to make it look like they work late every night.
A great question for them is why can't they get their job done during normal working hours

Ok, so I interrogated a guy when I was trying to find a blueprint. Is it supposed to show on the map now? It's getting a little old skulking around all these little hovels trying to find it.

When you interrogated him did he say anything about a blueprint? Assuming he did then it should show up on the map as a checkmark, like vig said. If he didn't, then you need to keep interrogating until a soldier specifically mentions it or just keep looking around until you find it.

When did people stop using disconcerting and start using concerning? Did they change the definition? I thought concerning meant "in regards to". I've heard people say this before but I'm hearing it way too often.

I hear reporters on ESPN use it so now I'm wondering if this is like when they added irregardless to the dictionary even though regardless is the proper form.

Zombie Vikings is officially the most broken game I have ever tried to get through.  There is a trophy for spending 30k in the store that everyone got but me.  I have more money, but nothing else to buy left in the store so I guess I am screwed.

Concerning can be an adjective.
My point is it wasn't used as it is today. It's now being used to replace disconcerting. We may as well start using mute instead of moot and censor instead of censure because people use it so hey it's acceptable now. You can look up any word and find it as acceptable these days.

In fact before I posted that I googled it and found this.

preposition
preposition: concerning

  1. 1.

on the subject of or in connection with; about.
"dreadful stories concerning a horrible beast"
    synonyms:

about, regarding, relating to, with reference to, referring to, with regard to, as regards, with respect to, respecting, dealing with, on the subject of, in connection with, re, apropos of

"we have new information concerning his disappearance"

adjective
adjective: concerning

  1. 1.

    causing anxiety; worrying.
"I find many of the comments very concerning"

2 very different definitions. Of course it's used these days to mean the 2nd definition but when I went to school nobody thought "that's cause for concern so therefore it's concerning". That second definition is the very definition of disconcerting isn't it? It just seems bizarre to me.

Gator thats some bullshit especially when there's nothing to buy. Sucks to hear about that and I really hate glitched trophies.

Can you say how they used it in a sentence?

My guess is they use "concerning" as a shortening of something like "a cause for concern," a reason to worry.

"I find the decision to use a type 1 folding barricade in order to signal a lane closure on the interstate concerning as drivers are less likely to see it."

Disconcerting is more indicating feelings of disgust, annoyance, mildly disturbed, unsettling. Slightly stronger than concerned.

I don't think the definition of "concerning" ever changed... sounds more like you didn't know all the ways it's used.

And I find it concerning that you would be more concerned with this than the shitty flash sales we've been having.

Probably could be.

Definitely possibly maybe.

meh, it happens.

For instance, today I learned the difference between a type 1 folding barricade and the totally different type 2 folding barricade.

Maybe tomorrow I'll learn why I, or anyone in general outside of road work, should know these things!

That feels when you're playing a game and the power goes out and you think the game was in the middle of saving, thus possibly corrupting your save.

That feels when you realize your save isn't corrupted and you immediately upload said save to online storage twice for good measure.

finally found the blueprints this morning. they were situated under a giant checkmark on my map so I couldn't see them. what a shitty map!

Gotta love when UI obscures game content. Not sure how that gets missed--testers just didn't notice, didn't report it, or the decision was made that it's fine? No idea.

How long does it typically take for the $10 rewards bonus to show up in your account after a game releases?

I haven't received them for Infinity or MGS yet...
