Maybe there will be a PS+ discount.

So far the blog post is not exactly causing lots of excitement. Only two comments, one of which is my question about the price/ps+ discount if any.
I don't buy digital when physical is available.

Blood Bowl looks cool. Been wanting a turn based PS4 game. Dumb that they didn't include the price in the post though. If it launches tomorrow they obviously already know what its going to be priced at, might as well tell us.

Its $50. Its been up on BBY and Amazon for a while.

5 As, 1 B, and 1 C so far. Songs are great and I really like the visual aspect. Glad you pushed everybody to buy this, Bumslie.
I'm glad everybody liked the game. It's a must for any rhythm fan and wait til you get to the hard levels, they're insane and I'll never SSS rank any of them. I get a D or E on hard levels most of the time.

Didn't realize it was a full retail release. Definitely waiting for a drop in that case. for $50 if I want turn based I'll just grab Disgaea 5.

oh mgs5 I can't quit you baby

edit - top, I posted this for you. don't ever question how much I suck again! although I did finally get an A rank on a mission right before this and it was like 2k points short of S. it felt like cheating - I died to an onslaught of assholes so everything was already marked on my second try. having tried before I knew they were going to drive off in a jeep with the guy I wanted so when I respawned I just sniped the two drivers and then ran around in a wide arc to the other side while they were looking for me and stole the jeep, driving off in to the afghan wilderness. is that stealth?
That's the way in lots of stealth games though, you fail enough times that eventually you become like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.

The sneaking is a little more forgiving in Hitman: Blood Money as compared to Contracts, but this can result in a few funny scenarios.

There is a section in a hotel with security cameras in the lobby. If you don't steal the surveillance tape then you can't get a Silent Assassin Ranking. So I pick the lock, sneak into the security office, hold the sneak button and creep behind the guard sitting in the chair looking at monitors. Continue to sneak till I'm standing 1 foot beside him at his 3'O clock (and there is literally no way he shouldn't be able to see me), then while still holding sneak, press the button to take the tape, and then sneak back out of the office. If you ever let go of the sneak button while grabbing the tape (even if you don't move) then he will immediately see you.

I talked her down to two controllers since there really arent that any 4 player PS3 games. I drive to Target that has 6 and the guy got me 2 out of the back. None of them were out. Of course, the price hasnt been updated like brickseek told me. DAMN!
Thats lame they didn't ring up the clearance price. The gold controllers do look awesome. Hopefully they drop in price and you can buy them. I only saw the controller at 1 Target near me but it was $35.

RB6 beta tho.
hype! we should try to get a little group together if more people are in the beta.

Skimmed through a lot of it but Blood Bowl is American Football but played like a dumb board game? Sounds boooring. I would rather play an updated Mutant League Football or even Jerry Glanville's Pigskin Footbrawl!
you're such a bro gamer

it's been years since i played it, but i thought the 360 blood bowl had turn based or a more action-y style mode. i could be wrong though, and of course it doesn't mean it's in this one.

I feel the same for waiting. But I've been completely burnt on Disgaea for years. It never fully resonated with me like FFTactics did, I can play that single game over and over and over and over ad nauseum and still go back for more. They just need to stop making Disgaeas at this point.

Blood Bowl one was on the 360 and I've always wanted to play it but it had a lot of technical issues, so I'm really looking forward to this one.

Weird. I ended up with a free Rosalina amiibo. I ordered one from Target when they restocked, but UPS never picked it up well past the estimated arrival date and since it was out of stock by then Target refunded me and gave me a $5 gift card. That was a week ago and the amiibo just showed up in the mail today.

the strategy in disgaea is there. love the class system, and the unlimited caps, but the grind to get to the cool stuff puts me off. only story i ever finished was dark hero days on psp. honestly, if they had microtransactions to unlock classes and skip the story, i'd be all over it.

Only 15 points? that sucks

Trophies don't get TT value until at least one person earns them. And it doesn't recalculate right away.

I just read an article on kotaku about mgs5 that points out that no matter how ridiculous the game always follows its own rules which makes me a lot more fond of the game. they have a video of how you can take a jeep and set off smoke grenades in it and drive around essentially invisible to everybody. I know that I've laid down in grass and played dead and had two soldiers sit there and stare at me and then walk away all like 'fuck it, it's probably nothing.' if you have the right camo on you can apparently do that on bare dirt too.

even if I don't necessarily want to participate I definitely appreciate that it has these defined boundaries the AI follows and once you figure them out you can do the dumbest shit to work around them and it doesn't try to unfairly stop you. that's pretty fun, it's like a subgame and that has to have been intentional. maybe that's how the other metal gear games are and I've just looked at them too seriously, but I have to think that none of the other games could've had the flexibility of this one.

I'm sure there's some sort of stealth/offensive reason why your horse can crap on command. I suppose if I discovered it then it would be a new toy to play with instead of something that just makes me scratch my head.

Nah they would censor the shit out of his warped mind. Also what Mario guy did they lose? Miyamoto jumped ship?
I wonder if he'll do something for Platinum Games, they love over-the-top things over there obviously, and he already worked with them on MG Rising. That's part of the downside of working for one VG company for so long as so many of his previous IPs are probably owned by Konami.

I'm still debating on whether or not I want to jump into Lego Dimensions. I mean I know I do, but I don't know if I should bother.
I am hoping my kid somehow misses noticing it for about a year or 2 so we can get it when the cost hopefully is not as ridiculous. I know I would like to play the game with him, but $100 just for the starter pack with $30 add-ons is crazy. They think everyone is as rich as Munky apparently.

My youngest, who likes Legos, hasn't been asking for Dimensions, so that's good. I think he got his fill of that type of game with Skylanders a while back and doesn't need to play another game like it, even if it comes with Legos.

That demo people went gaga over, Allison Road, as a spiritual successor to P.T., is up on kickstarter to get funding. ~$31 gets you a Xbox One or PS4 code. Their goal seems very reasonable at $388k so it should make it.

Maybe that's what Kojima should do next.
$31 KS isn't bad if it's a retail release, but if it's a $20 downloadable, people are gonna be pissed.

Theres no reason to be pissed at all. Kickstarter isn't a storefront to purchase things at MSRP, its a place to make a pledge/investment into something you believe in and getting a copy of said item in return. Its more about funding the creation rather than purchasing product.

You greatly underestimate the capacity of kickstarter backers to be pissed.

Ya, I kickstarted one thing, Retro Magazine year 2, and then within a week of the kickstarter ending, they offered subscriptions on CAG for around 50% less than the 1 year subscription backer reward tier. I was quite annoyed.

That's usually because the starters sell the kickers a bill of goods.

I don't know if anyone heard about this "retro" console but this would seem to be a prime example. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/retro-vgs

I just don't get the alleged interest in bringing cartridges back in an increasingly digital world. Anyway, I don't think they're going to come close to their 1.85 million or their stretch goal of 3.8. They also don't have a ton of games for it, a working prototype, nor would I want to pay $30-60 for a game I could get on Steam or in a bundle for a lot less.
