I thought I remembered the Steam achievements had a lot more stuff to earn in SMB. But since all those don't die trophies are golds and silvers, they probably didn't have enough points or whateverfuck left for the simpler ones. Bastards.

Anyone know when to expect reviews for Transformers Devastation? Hoping Activision didn't do what they did for Tony Hawk and not send any review copies out until release day. Hoping to decide on it by tomorrow so I can potentially pick it up while I'm getting Rock Band.

New trophy lists: CoD: BO3, The Quiet Collection (?), and Super Meat Boy. As I feared, it looks like they copied over the hard Steam achievements for beating each world without dying. *gulp*

Also, ugh at the Black Ops III list, as it looks online-grindy.
Trophy list looks the same as Black ops 2, except probably doesnt have the same campaign challenge "grind". Also the online grind just looks like you need tp prestige once (like in 2) which doesnt take very long.

You don't think hitting Level 55 online will take long, or is that what you mean by "tp prestige once"?

BOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRIIINNNGGG... too long-winded for it's own good. Pass

Lighting/shadowing was pretty good though.
It didn't help that the video showed the text being speelllllleeeeedddd ouuuuuttttt sloooowwwwlllyyy; you could probably cut the runtime in half for a fast reader who increased the message speed.

I started playing Diablo 3 UEE this weekend and it's fun, although the "Normal" difficulty is insanely easy. I think I could just hold down X and win every battle because every hit gives me health. I bumped it up to Hard, but even there it seems on the easy side. I have yet to die. I'll probably bump it up another level. Or does it get tougher later?

One question for the pros. I forged a weapon, but then where did it go? It isn't in my inventory.

Played some more swapper this weekend. Didn't have time for any video games.

I did turn on Rocket League tho, and just listened to the main menu soundtrack all night ;)

Hope every one had a great weekend

Damn reviews coming out release day is never a good sign but this is platinum games so it shouldn't be anywhere near the crap that is Tony Hawk.

I'm not sure if anyone cares at this point but two of the targets I was at over the weekend still had preorder cards up for rock band 4 bundle.  So if you want an extra $5 gc and can snag one before you pick it up tomorrow w/ the 25% off there's that.  I'm sorely tempted to pick up transformers tomorrow from target instead of waiting to get it from the library, but I'd like to see some reviews too just to find out if it's tony hawk bad or not.

I can stream when the game unlocks at 11 tonight if you want to watch.
I'd appreciate it if you'd just post a couple sentences about it sometime after you play it tonight or tomorrow before noon. I think worst case scenario it'll be boring/repetitive but playable.

There's a streamer who seems to get early access to shit all the time that had an hour with the game:

True, but I don't understand the need to describe every detail about every single thing... am I reading a book or playing a game? And they went a little overkill with all the whimpers and noises she makes.

To be fair, the Corpse Party games are visual novels, so reading is a large part of the game and you're technically doing both.

Bummer. I understand why they did it with Tony Hawk, but Transformers looks really solid. I'd think they'd want to create a bit of buzz for release day. My only real concern is that the combat could end up being repetitive over time and the game could be super short. But being able to get it for 30% off at Target (with Red card) means I could play and trade with minimal losses, I expect.

At least the game being super-short would make the 5 minimum playthroughs for the plat easier to stomach.

might do the ol' weave-a-roo tomorrow to get transformers. want taken king as well. gonna trade in madden for taken king at gs, crack open my taken king for the code, then take it on down to target to trade in towards transformers. assuming all values hold

gohastings has 40% off used games if you buy 3 or more. managed to snag a natural doctrine vita, and tossed in sleeping dogs and metro for ps4 for 36.xx after shipping. quite a bit of stuff in the $15 range on ps4 which will probably go fast. code is passiton

gohastings.com has 40% off used with code PASSITON if you buy three things or more.   no free shipping as per usual.

edit - derek'd!

Destructoid's Rock Band 4 review: http://www.destructoid.com/review-rock-band-4-312826.phtml

7/10

Rock Band 4 is a bit of a conundrum. On one hand, it's not only a hassle to switch generations due to the fact that so many elements don't work with the new one, but additionally -- Rock Band 3 is still a thing, supports all of your DLC, and has more features. On the other, there's nothing inherently wrong with this iteration, and for those of you who missed out in the past or have broken 360s or PS3s, you'll still be able to rock out into the night with friends and have a whole lot of fun.
IGN's review: http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/10/05/rock-band-4-review

8.8/10

The track list that comes on the Rock Band 4 disc is a little light on memorable songs, but thanks to admirable backward compatibility with a huge DLC catalog, Rock Band 4 remains every bit the magical cooperative gaming experience the series has always been. Getting a band together in the living room to rock out creates some incredible moments of musical joy. On top of that, a new career mode injects some fun personality and decision-making, while solos let you express yourself mid-song without penalty. Rock Band still fulfills its potential to make me feel like a superstar musician and, like 65-year-old Bruce Springsteen still doing killer three-hour shows , proves that it’s still got “it.”
Gamespot's review: http://www.gamespot.com/reviews/rock-band-4-review/1900-6416264/

7/10

Rock Band 4 recaptures the unadulterated gratification that made the series such a hit half a decade ago, but mainly because it’s a relatively unchanged, repackaged Rock Band 2. A lack of content and general stagnation hold this particular iteration of Rock Band back, but new ideas like Freestyle Solos genuinely enhance the core experience, which remains a sincere and joyful celebration of music.

It's a shame Hastings is so shitty about online stock. Even when you specify "In Stock" for the browsing criteria almost everything I checked was OOS online and only available in some location somewhere for local pickup. Either add a Online Shipping criteria or allow for online orders to ship from stores with stock, assholes.

Thanks guys, managed to pick up Lego LotR, Lost Dimensions, and Tomb Raider Definitive for ~50 shipped. Was mostly interested in LotR and Lost Dimensions, vita lotr never goes on sale on PSN, and I've been wanting to pick up lost dimensions for a while. Looks like the vita section has mostly been picked clean though.

It's a collection of very short (10 to 30 minutes each) PSM puzzle (adventure?) games, Quiet, Please and its sequels. Based on other editions I'm guessing $5.

The game has been out for a month and a half already.

also kinda crazy is the thursday chic said she will give me $50 to watch her 1y/o for a few hours once a day every week and then cam after she picks her up. I love babies and scheduled bjs so this is a winwin for me. plus more money is ok. lets see how long it lasts

Infinity 2.0 starter pack is $16 after GCU today at Best Buy. For you guys who have played it is it better or worse than 3.0?
Having only watched a stream of Munky playing 3.0, it looked like the gameplay was improved. It will really come down to what universe you would prefer to play: Marvel or Star Wars.

I already have (and platted) 3.0, I'm more curious how 2.0 plays in general. $16 is awfully tempting for the Marvel nerd in me but not if the gameplay is mediocre.
