House of Cards update:

Finished season 2 and watched episode 1 of season 3 last night. Really enjoyed most of season 2 and episode 1 but I can see where it might start getting stale since
Kevin Spacey is now the President which they keep reminding us is "the most powerful man in the free world". If he is the President during season 3 he has less to fight for since he is the man now. yeah they can have some people trying to take him down but part of the fun of the first two seasons was him battling his way to the top. oh and the three way with his body guard and wife was weird. Totally unexpected though so it was shocking and worked well for the show.

Kevin Spacey is the fuck ing man though. Both his character and his real self. He is a great actor and his character is a total badass in the show.
I got like 4 episodes into season 3 and never even finished it....whoops.

That'd be tempting, but I'm pretty sure Grimm is on one of the streaming services isn't it?
It's on Amazon Prime. I can't recommend the series, though. It starts well enough but goes incredibly downhill not too far in. The repeated instances of plot-induced stupidity are very grating and hard to watch. The entire last season was garbage.

Yep. Even in the flashback I mentioned she glosses over what happened. So it's just her thinking about it--the decision makes no impact on the story flow of s2.
Doesn't who died or didn't die in S1 change S2 a bit? Not that I think it is earth shatteringly different but certainly seems to have carry over (as does the 400 days DLC).
There are some conversation differences based on who did what in 400 days. They don't affect the plot of the game at all, though.
Thanks, guys. I'm not that attached to the characters in TWD, so I don't mind too much if certain people show up or not. If this was The Wolf Among Us, on the other hand, I'd want to carry over the data no matter what.

Finished up Shantae last night. Game was alright, its pretty short though, finished in about 5 hours, and the under 4hr trophy (and cleanup for pretty much every other trophy) would be easy enough if I cared to go back through. But nothing about the game really makes me want to do that. Gave up and started using a walkthrough halfway through the third dungeon I think, I never would have gotten through swapping all the eyeballs to get to the right rooms and whatnot.

You didn't miss out on anything. Season 3 is entirely about
everything going wrong. Spacey's character fails at everything he does, he's failing at his re-election campaign, and his marriage falls apart because rapes he's a stupid asshole to and eventually rapes his wife. The season ends with her deciding to leave him (and doing so right before a huge re-election event.

The reason I liked the show at the beginning was for how successfully manipulative Spacey was and for the relationship with the wife. Neither of those is really a factor anymore and nothing replaced those elements to make the show remain interesting.

Personally, it's not worth it to me. It sounded good and looked good on the preorder pics but the flux capacitor disappoints and I'm not a big fan of those cardboard sleeves for any kind of discs.

I've been watching it off and on since it started. Don't think I've ever seen an entire season, but yeah didn't seem particularly great. Last thing I saw/heard was
Last saw when some other girl took some potion to look like the main guys wife and he slept with her? And then the wife took potion to look like the other chick and Nick? slept with her and it flixed his grimm powers? And then fast forward to later in the season/the next season and now the wife is evil or something?

It all sounded extremely convoluted and weird. I'd watch it with my dude on occasion, but I don't think he likes the show very much any more lol

It's fairly average, not bad, but not particularly exceptional. I enjoy it enough to keep watching it on Fridays.

The premise is that the creatures of the original Grimm's fairly tales are real, and walk among us in the guise of humans (called Wesen). People of a particular bloodline (they are called Grimms by the fairy tale creatures) have super-human abilities and can see them for what they truly are when they get scared or partially transform to access their Wesen power. For centuries the Grimms thought the Wesen were all monsters and hunted them indiscriminately, to the Wesen, the Grimms are just as monstrous.

A Portland homicide detective has the power of the Grimms awaken inside of him and discovers that his city is one that is a popular settling place for Wesen, but after a run in with a Wesen for the first time, they both come to realize that neither is as bad as their respective reputations. The series is a mix of case of the week in which the detective tracks down murders committed by Wesen through his day job with the help of his new Wesen friend and some light season long arc stuff.

Is that BttF trilogy BluRay set on sale at target the same 25th anniversary transfers, or are they shittier than the 25th/30th anniversary discs?

Yeah it was really dumb.

The backstory is that Nick (the Grimm) was being targetted by the blonde chick, Adalind (she's a hexenbeast--basically a witch with an ugly true form.) She poisons his fiancee, Juliette; Nick forces her to drink some of his blood or something which basically seals her powers and makes her human again. To get her powers back Adalind pretends to be Juliette and has sex with him, stripping him of his Grimm powers in the process. Juliette has to then transform into Adalind to perform another spell to return his powers.

The end result is that Juliette transforms into a hexenbeast and Adalind ends up pregnant with Nick's kid. Julliette tries to find a way to get back to normal and ends up going power crazy. She kills Nick's mom, tries to kill Nick and Adalind, and helps to kidnap Adalind's first baby (born earlier in the show) to be used by a secret group of monster royals. The season ends with one of the other grimms showing up and it looking like Juliette is going to be killed. I expect she's just kidnapped and forced into a monster police group, though, and will show back up later.

Supposedly the reason Juliette couldn't have her power taken away like Adalilnd did is because Nick already did that once (to Adalind) and it won't work a 2nd time. Why neither of the other two Grimms in the show could have done the job is never explored. As I said--plot induced stupidity.

It's a big stupid mess.

So instead of working 17 hours during inventory last week, I ended up working 12. I come home and see a Sony flash sale.  Picked up Limbo for $4 so I can play it on Vita/PS TV.

Fast forward to yesterday where I'm working 8 hours ... which turns into 15 hours.  Wonder how much I'll spend on PSN this time?

#slept8hours

Where's the bold? I'm confused when reading your posts without it. Better than bold or italics, you should bold, italicize, underline, and place a game or movie title in quotes.

Dear Diary,

Need a few thousand more tags in koi-koi and I'll have the minigame gold in Yakuza 3. Yo Topside, we can hold hands while doing the ultimate skill challenge together. We can do it.

Cleaner's disappearance means that even with the huge lead she had on pitfall that she is about to get passed on the TT leader board.  I am sure he will appreciate me pointing that out since he is only ~500 points away.

Did we already know the Game of Thrones TellTale game is getting a retail release on the same day as the last episode hits PSN?

Apparently, the disc does not come with episode 6 on it and you have to download it. Gamefly has an odd disclaimer on the page about how you can download the last episode if you have the disc.

NOTE: Episodes 1-5 are included on disc. Episode 6 will be available to download from PSN while renting this game. Disc must be in tray to play any episode.
No listing for the Borderlands game yet though.

I should probably knock on wood or something, but I think it's safe to say that Sony has nipped the crashing while asleep bug in the PS4. Since the 3.0 update there's been no repeats of that and I was having it happen fairly often before.

I wore my Wyld Stallyns shirt today because today is the day Bill & Ted arrive in the future.

Right?

Think I'll pick up Grim Fandago and Organ Trail from this sale.

Game of Thrones episode 1 is free this week. (Although it probably has been free before).

Why are there music tracks (that don't seem tied to Rock Band or some other game) on sale in the store this week?

oddly today I had an error when resuming from suspend for the first time in a long time but everything kept working and I was still able to jump back in the game.

Seriously...? And none of you call him out on this stupid shit?

All I said was I was happy that my wife was talking about us going to see the movie together which means that things are going half decent atm, but you want to say something smart about it like you know our situation.

Peace, love, and happiness.... yeah, right.... lmfao
To be fair I didnt even read it.

<Al removed>
I realized I was trying to come up with reasons to give it a lower score just so people would not give me shit for it. I could not come up with any legitimate reasons. Hopefully I put enough disclaimers in that make people consider if they are the target audience or not. However, for the target audience of people into adventure games and/or Minecraft, I can not think of a way they could have improved it. That made me stick with the 5/5.

I'm going to pass on Grim Fandango since I realized most (all?) of Double Fine's other games have made it to Plus.

But none will come to Vita where they should be like Dragon Quest VIII. Instead we'll slum it on the 3DS (and not localize it for the US). fuck off square.
Dragon Quest Heroes is giving me a really strong urge to replay DQVIII, but with #notrophies, a huge backlog, and the fact that I'd rather play it on-the-go, I don't see that happening anytime soon. :-({|=

If only this mod would work on consoles (RE1 spoilers, I guess):

I haven't played it at all, I had it on PS2 but sold it off in a big backlog purge. It would be awesome to have it on Vita with trophies. If it does come to the 3DS in the US I'll give it a go. It just seems like a you might as well just throw it on everything kind of thing. I feel the same way about the Mega Man Collection...it's like ok we'll put it on every platform except this one (what's the point?). Do it digital only, I don't care just do it!

Yeah, I'm definitely needing to play La-Mulana with GameFaqs open at this point. It's either that or spend hours wandering aimlessly through the ruins making only 1/10th of the progress I would w/o help.
