Yesterday a friend called me up and said the theater here is doing a 7:45 showing of Star Wars on Thurs and he bought me a ticket. I'm happy as I thought it was a sold out and usually wait weeks to sees big budget movies.

I just realized that in addition to the 30% Cartwheel deal for Guitar Hero Live, there's also a deal where you save $20 if you buy it with any PSN Spacebucks card.  So basically a free $20 in Spacebucks.

Combine that with a GameStop price match tomorrow and 20% coupon and I may be able to score all that for $35 before RedCard.

I'm going to try to see The Force Awakens the Tuesday after it releases (12/22) because the local movie theater does $5 Tuesdays where every showing is at that price for all movies, even new ones.

I'm absolutely certain that I could not live six months off one month's income even if I kept the food down to ramen. It was a brag about money.
Except I don't pay myself every month. It's every 3 months.

I don't brag about money. What's to brag about? I didn't earn it. I'm just some asshole who literally hit the lottery.

Low blow Zimm. I'm young but I'm up to speed on my team's history, and that shit right there sucked. fuck Hrbek right in the ear.
I was actually rooting for the Braves that year because fuck Minnesota sports. Then I find out wife was in love with Hrbek for some reason so I endlessly gave her shit about that play and called him a cheater.

So I decided 2 weeks ago to stop drinking soda. I've been thinking about stopping for a long time now but never pushed myself on trying. I thought to myself if I can quit smoking cigarettes cold turkey than I can drop soda. I loved Dr. Pepper but recently got a reverse osmosis water filtration system for the house. The water is so good and better than bottle water. I've already lost some weight too so I'm going to see how long I can stick with no soda. I just drank way too much of it so this will be a good change.
that's awesome man, congrats and good for ya. i gave up brown bubbly sugar water awhile ago and so glad

Anyone going to PAX South?  Looks like CAG is gonna have a panel.  Someone here should crash it by streaking with #PSNOT written on their chest or ass or something.

I wouldn't consider myself "poor" per se but I don't have alot left over after bills these days. I'm still the happiest I've been in a very long time though even though my financial situation certainly isn't ideal at this time.

i have a house and van and ps4 and multiple ps3s and i chillax on the reg. i know im not really poor. lol. just compared to some of you dudes with your riches and not having many many mouths to feed i meant ;) i know im super lucky and blessed etc

Money isn't everything. It can take care of some worries and buy some cool shit, but can't stop other shit from sucking. If I had to choose between the money and the kid, we'd be poor but happy.

Soph I noticed you started xcom, i already dl'd it on another ps3 in my house but if you want me to help you get the mp trophy I think we can just start a game and i can quit and you get the trophy, so just hit me up.

oh Holy Cow! my girl just came home with the boardgames The Omega Virus and Key to the Kingdom. These are blasts from my childhood pasts. she just got them at goodwill thrift store for $2.50 each. insane. this is a true nostalgia bomb. uber dorking out now

If you stay off them for a long time and then happen to take a sip of one later, you will wonder why you liked them to start with. Soft drinks tastes incredibly sweet to me now. Even Sprite tastes like liquid sugar.
Sprite has always been too sweet for me. I have quit soda and gone back. Didn't find it too sweet when I went back. Last time I gave up soda for a few months I was getting lots of headaches (obviously the lack of caffeine).

Suck it bed making nerds!

I drink soda still, but I don't like all regular soda. That is too sweet. I mix either regular and diet, or regular and soda water. The only problem with mixing in soda water is it also waters down the flavor (aside from sweetness), so I can't use as much soda water, though some sodas work better for this then others. Like mountain dew I can put in maybe 50% soda water and it tastes good (in fact, better than straight up).

I drink too much diet soda, the Mrs. thinks I should quit...too many chemicals. She's probably right.

8 years, 184MM for Heyward. Can opt out the deal twice, the first opt-out clause being 3 years into the deal.
Overpaid but he's a fine addition to their outfield providing he can play center on a full time basis from the sounds of it, unless they look into trading Soler and signing someone else to play CF.

So I just saw on the news that Ace of Base was going to play a charity concert. They needed to sell 150 tickets to break even but cancelled the concert because they only sold 12 tickets. LMAO that's classic!

We always have a Xmas lunch the last day before we shutdown for the Xmas weekend; that'll be the 23rd this year. One of the guys in the plant always cooks a whole hog and other people bring sides; string beans, greens, hash and rice, mac and cheese, etc.

After the lunch, everyone gets a frozen turkey and Xmas bonus. When I first started working here, your bonus was an extra weeks pay. About four years ago they changed the bonus so that everyone gets the same amount, and every year it's been more than a weeks pay for me.

This will always be my favorite Jason Heyward-Cubs moment.
lol, I was living in Atlanta at that time and all the Braves fans at work were declaring him the great left handed hitter since Griffey Jr. I was like, you all need to calm down. It was a pitch towards the middle of the plate in a left handed hitter's wheelhouse.

I recently mixed the following mountain dew flavors together:

1. Regular

2. Code Red

3. White Out

4. Voltage

5. Live Wire

6. Baja Blast

7. Sangrita Blast

8. Game Fuel Citrus Cherry

9. Game Fuel Berry Lime

10. Solar Flare

It was the mega dew to rule them all.

Baja Blast is the worst!

Had our Christmas party for work at Cyclone Anaya's last night.  Food was good, appetizers everywhere, and I went with the Camarones a la Parrilla
(Six jumbo chargrilled shrimp stuffed with jalapeño and Mexican cheese wrapped in applewood smoked bacon served on a bed of cilantro rice with grilled vegetables, refried black beans, avocado and tomato slices.)
because I was already getting full from the appetizers. Drank a few Hopadillos which is a Houston brewed IPA. Good beer.
