I think the level 2 boss is by far the worst until the last phase of level 5's.

Good to know. I had passed level 2 when I accidentally selected the lowest difficulty one time, and I didn't remember seeing his second form after you destroy the initial outer plates. That sonnabitch had me puckering big time in his 2nd form with all the human lives in balance.

I really hope the suspend on the Vita doesn't invalidate the ship complete trophies. I only worry because the trophy guide was adamant about completing everything in one go on the PS4 list.

 
Speaking of Vita suspend functionality.  Do I ever really need to turn off the Vita?   Seems like a waste of time.  Unless it needs to reset every now and then for optimum performance?

His second form is actually really really easy if you have a spare bomb. It one shot kills that second form if you hit him with it from behind next to the horizontal green bar weak spot.

it can have a negative effect on the battery. found that out the hard way with my oled. i'd do a hard reset at least once a week. mine could have been made worse by the fact i was playing destiny of spirits, and was using sleep mode every 5-10 minutes.

I wonder if it's similar to a PC/laptop in that way--isn't it best to turn those off every now and then rather than always putting them in sleep mode?

Suspend doesn't impact the trophies at all. I did them in 5-10 minute increments with large suspends in between. I did my 1cc run over 2 days.

I don't think I ever turned off my oled vita a single time and the battery was as good after two years as it was day one.
 
Okay thanks guys.  I will probably turn off the Vita every now and then just to be safe.  But that suspend function is really fuck ing awesome for sure.  PS4 still doesnt have it right?

Since you liked that info, there is also a bit of a secret I figured out on the last boss you might want to know. If you make it to his last form where it becomes pure bullet hell with him shooting at you, you can actually boost towards him and get under one of the humps in the sine wave pattern of his body. Then he can't shoot you but you can still shoot him. It is risky since you have to boost to an exact spot, but it works well if you can get there. I always had the most trouble with his form with the vertical lines and the one with the circles can be tricky too, so I usually didn't have a chance to even use that strategy much.

 
I still need to do the PS3 version of Resogun and, assuming I can bend my sleep schedule around, wouldn't mind teaming up with someone for it.

(I got the PS4 plat before coop existed. booyah)

If that means you got it before the patch, be prepared for a much harder game. Veteran pre-patch is pretty much the same as experienced is now.

Groan... make that THREE hard resets this morning. I'm about to jerk off all over this PS3, cuz apparently that's what it was made for.

Don't know why I'm taking it out on my system when I know it's this stupid POS game. Finally get to some decent missions and I have to go through this dumb shit. It figures that the one DLC that worked without a hitch was also the worst.

Bestbuy has been having a lot of issues with CEs were they incorrectly list price so people have been getting the CEs for cheap

Yeah, I meant the $80-MSRP CE. I just remember that they had a more expensive edition and thought that was the Collector's Edition while the other one was the Limited Edition, but it turns out it's called the Premium Edition.

As for how I got it for $48, Best Buy had the CE listed at $59.99 when they first put it up, so I preordered it with GCU.

Looks like you got the plat in Dec '13. The patch where people started complaining about difficulty was in Jun or so of 2014. Yeah, it will be much harder. Like I said above, veteran of that version is now what experienced is like.

I know since I tried backing out the patch to play it and get the plat. I died on the same spots over and over on both versions but at one level of difficulty different between them.

You and me both. That and Bloodborne really deserve it. I don't get why Sony exclusives get the shaft while Microsoft exclusives end up on the list the day they're announced.

It looks like you got it right before the difficulty spike patch actually. I do not think it was the same one as the co-op patch.

EDIT: It wasn't. There was co-op before the change in difficulty. As part of the difficulty changes of that patch, with co-op you no longer had individual lives and bombs. They became shared.

I made the mistake of leaving two twelve packs of soda in my SUV's trunk, a few of the cans exploded. The best part is the soda was in ice chunks and it was so cold I couldn't even get the majority of it off the fabric because it was frozen solid. Fun times.
