Good thing the Grinch got that ornament out of her head for her.

That Amiibo article seemed too stupid to be true. Who in their right mind would spend that much money on something they hate?

I didn't realize disgaea 4 held its value so well. I have a nominally close used copy at a gamestop that I might go pick up with a birthday coupon. I haven't finished 3 yet, but only because there's not a single guide anywhere for it.

Who still has their christmas decorations up, anyway? Good job on keeping your daughter's face clean. :smirk: (I'm a parent too. I know how it goes)

tv news:

Started watching Sherlock on Netflix last night. Loved it. (Holy crap. each of these episodes are 90 minutes long?)

gaming news:

Up to 6-2 in Stealth Inc. Otherwise I havent played much at all. Aside from stuff on my phone. F-ing cold.

I was about to tell you how awesome you were for finding that listing for 4. Now I want to tell you to go fuck yourself.

Not a guide?

If you mean general walkthrough: http://www.gamefaqs.com/vita/639534-disgaea-3-absence-of-detention/faqs

If you mean trophy guide: http://www.playstationtrophies.org/game/disgaea-3-absence-of-detention/guide/

If not either of those, I'm not sure what you're looking for.

BTW, finished Murdered: Soul Suspect. Not a bad game. Some odd mechanical issues:

 1. There's no game map. This isn't too big an issue if you're following a collectible guide and getting every collectible in the locations as you come to them. If you're trying to do a vanilla run to enjoy the story and then go back for the collectibles later, though, figuring out how to get back to a specific location can be a pain in the ass.
 2. The in-game directions are shit. Even when you're being guided from one story location to the next, it's pretty common for the screen markers to show directions as the bird flies rather than directions you can actually take. I ended up stumbling around, running into dead ends trying to figure out how to get around buildings and the like in order to reach my destination.
 3. Fighting demons is a bit glitchy. To kill a demon you have to get behind it, hold R2, and then you'll get an on-screen prompt to hold the left analog + some button to finish it off. The problem is that the R2 prompt for attacking the demon comes and goes. Right when you get into position it'll appear for about a second. If you don't hit R2 quickly enough it'll disappear even though you're still in the right spot. Then you have to wait a few more seconds for it to come back. If the demon turns around during that delay then you end up running around trying to escape it for a couple of minutes before you can try again to kill it.
Interesting story overall. Not a kind of game I've played before. Definitely worth running through if you're fine with games that don't focus on combat. It also has an easy plat, though you're going to have to follow a guide to get all 242 collectibles.

Sherlock is quite good. Odd in that the first two seasons both have a dud second episode. S1E3, S2E1, and S2E3 are all amazing, though.

None of the S3 episodes were amazing, but there also wasn't a bad episode in that set. Decent season overall, but completely out-shined on a per-episode basis by the episodes I mentioned above.

Therm, there's a 110% chance Pete was just saying there wasn't a guide because he knew the most esteemed member of this thread wrote one of the greatest trophy guides of all time for it. So he's just being an asshole.

Yeah, I realized that after I posted.

How's D2 so far? I still have to run back and do more of D3, plus I just got Disgaea 2 PSP and Disgaea 4 Vita for xmas. I'm sure by the time I wrap that stuff up the D2 Vita version will have come out.

Just consider them short movies, not episodes.

I was going to wait a while, but fuck it, downloading Infamous FoB so that I can move on to SS. Knocking out a bunch of short games to start the year off has a certain appeal.

I actually agree with all of these points. And that scares me a little. First (and so far only) GameStop used rental. Sniff sniff and shit.

Top golf was hopping still last night. Guy got us a spot right in front where we could watch everyone. Lot of good looking women there. Its the place to be right now it seems

I meant to mention this in my post about Murdered: Soul Suspect, but forgot:

One thing I have to give props to Jak 2 and 3 for is a good mapping direction system. I can't think of anything else good to say about either game, but it managed that right. Having the map point not straight to the destination but rather to the immediate direction you need to go in order to navigate the many twists, turns, and branches on the way to your goal was done quite well.
So what is the best way to get rid of poop (smell) out of electronics like a ps4 and vita?
Trade them to Game Stop?

As for that Seahawks/Panthers logic from your wife stotch, how does that mean the Seahawks win?  Just cuz the panther can't get to it doesn't mean the Seahawk would win, just that it wouldn't lose.
