A number of the maps you don't have to return to with other characters, though. It seems like the ones with the costume restrictions are usually ones where the collectibles in the maps are all obtainable by the characters the story mode gives you. In other words, if there are 5 gold bricks for a map and all of them can be obtained by Batman and Robin, they might arbitrarily prevent you from using the Detective Suit in order to make you come back to that map. It sticks out pretty bad because you see the prompt for using Detective mode, go to use it, then find out you can't.
In which level, specifically, are you seeing this? I'm still working on the story mode, and I've finished the first 7 chapters so far.

If I never actually played any of the poll nominations (shocking, I know), am I not allowed to vote? I technically played FFX way back when on PS2, but otherwise I just own FFX & X-2 on Vita and TWAU on PS4, unopened.
just do whatever makes your heart feel free. We're not voting on whether or not to drop the atomic bomb.

I just entered a contest for travel and tickets to the NFC Championship. I'm sure I'll win so I can personally deliver a cheesehead to Nightmare after Lacy goddamn man's himself all over the 12th man.
If you win, there's probably someone besides your wife that'd enjoy a ticket...

It's a few of the maps later on. It didn't it at all until later in the game, which is part of why it's so annoying. I'd gotten used to seeing one of the trigger points for using a suit, switching to the character, switching to the suit, and then collecting whatever. Now I find myself switching characters at those points, going to switch suits, and finding that I can't do that.

It's nowhere near all the maps, it's just happened a few times so far, but it sticks out when I've come across it.

Yes, I'm aware of the definition of flashback. Notice that the definition says "scene" though. Singular. You could term a single scene a flashback but to say the show has lots of flashbacks doesn't really capture correctly the narrative approach. Arrow follows a dual timeline structure--the story on the island could easily have been told on its own in a season or whatever prior to Ollie ever even getting off the island. Flashbacks generally aren't so pervasive and sequential that this is the case, which is why I don't really consider Arrow's approach to be "a series of flashbacks."

I wouldn't consider Forrest Gump to be a flashback movie, as another example, because that's just not the storytelling approach they used there even though the majority of the movie fits that definition.
A flashback is a flashback if you ask me. Narrative context blah blah balh doesn't change that. I honestly don't care. Good for you if you are enjoying the show, I have tried but I really can't stand the characters. I just think your logic is so wacky sometimes and like to poke fun at it. .

It varies. Again, I'm only through S1 at this point so that might change, but quite a bit of the island content isn't directly related to anything happening in the current episode.

Ya, it's more like a parallel narrative since it's (almost) all chronological without any skipping around and could stand by itself without the 5 years later content. Sometimes the island stuff is even more interesting then stuff going on in the present.

I love how Cheapy calls his programmer a super programmer. Super programmer of what exactly? How has this refresh bug gone on so fuck ing long? I realize it's probably only as good as the bulletin board software but damn, I'd have fired this guy a long time ago.
yeah and replace him with a web slinging super hero no doubt.

Glad to see Therm back to his usual self.  I was able to skim most of the posts from the last hour.

Are you saying every costume is available for Bats & Robs for every regular non-free play level, and that on some of these levels, just one costume is locked out?

Peter Parker is pretty smart, he could probably figure out this refresh bug.

I'm actually ahead of the curve (even though it's old) on something? Finished and sold off Metal Gear Rising. Woooo!

I finally tried the SNOT sponsored Firehouse Subs Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Briskettm.

The mayo really balances out the BBQ sauce nicely.

#mayo

Fire house subs is nowhere near me so I have yet to try, but I did place my order through the chipotle app so I don't have to wait and can play pix the cat when done :)

Not one costume, all of them. For example you're in a map with Batman, Grundy, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern. Batman is dressed as Joker and can't switch costumes at all, so the Joker card for the map (hidden behind something you need to blow up) is inaccessible. Then slightly later you're in another map and Batman has full range of costumes, but no reason for the change is provided. It's an inconsistency thing--the game gets you used to being able to switch among the characters for the level and the costumes they have, then suddenly starts locking you out of costumes and there's no reason to realize that until you've tried to switch and found out that you can't.

So what you are saying:

In some regular non-free play levels, you cannot switch to whatever costume/character you want. But in other regular non-free play levels, you can, at a moments notice wherever you are in a level, switch costumes to anything.

Do I understand what you are saying correctly?

Lots of stuff that's been on sale before, but I take it I should pick up Ratchet & Clank: Collection on Vita for $12? I've never played any Ratchet games (except a little of that tower defense-ish one).

I've only played the first but it was fun, 2 is supposed to be the best. This is probably the only game I'm considering as of right now. I'll just get to them sooner on the Vita.

Ratchet & Clank Collection for $12 is tempting (especially because of separate trophy lists), but I have a feeling it'll hit $10 or even $7.50 at some point, plus I have the PS3 collection to work through.

Also dont forget you are getting low on credit so you cant spend all willy nilly.

These are the exact same thoughts I had. If I didn't already own the PS3 one, i'd probably bite.

I think this is the first time it has ever gone on sale. Since digital is the only option for North America, I would think it would be a good purchase if you are interested in the series. I will likely buy it.

The sale isn't too bad for me at first glance. Not enough to make me go nutso, but I'll probably pick up a few things once I have it sitting in front of me.

Did we get slapped with the Burnout Paradise price?  I really do not remember what it was before.  Honestly, I dont really give a shit because it was a blast to play.  I am more asking to see how much I should pimp it to all the morons who didn't buy it last time :)

Wow, there's actually not much that interests me, except maybe THPS HD for $6. Also, has Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky for Vita always been the case? I thought it was just on PSP?
It's always been playable on Vita.

Stotch: Disgaea 4 is $20 for Vita...

Only game in the sale I'm considering is R&C Collection for Vita. I've never played those. Anybody play the Vita version and know how the port is?

Maybe Daxter. How was that?

It's pretty shitty they just copy/pasted the PSP sale list into the Vita sale list. Assholes.
