Grim Fandango was an amazing game, but being an adventure game it falls into that trap of whether or not it's worth the full price due to no replayablity. Looking at it with a "can I trade it in/sell it?" perspective spoils it a bit (and, admittedly, having already played the original, I'll wait for a price drop as well) but considering it was originally a full retail ($50) game instead of $15 and what your options are for $15 of entertainment it's a great value.Very positive Destructoid review for Grim Fandango Remastered (reviewer played on Vita): http://www.destructoid.com/review-grim-fandango-286727.phtml
IGN's review also sings its praises: http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/01/27/grim-fandango-remastered-review
Having never played it before, I'm excited to get it...once it hits Plus or $5.
From comments I'm seeing, the issue definitely wasn't that it's a bad game and so they were trying to prevent reviews from fouling sale numbers. Sounds to be pretty decent so far. Not sure about the PS4 version but PC version is confirmed to run pretty well.PS: Don't try and tempt me with $20 Dying Light. I will do my best to hold out for a sub-$15 physical release.
Don't need yet another zombie game. Especially one that is afraid of sending review copies out until the day before.
Though again this is PC. No telling if the same problem exists for PS4.TotalBiscuit @Totalbiscuit 9h9 hours ago
Hmm I take back what I said about Dying Light performance. At some point between this morning and now FPS cut itself in half
TotalBiscuit @Totalbiscuit 9h9 hours ago
Yeah the framerate has gone to hell, tried rebooting, no dice. Uhoh.
TotalBiscuit @Totalbiscuit 9h9 hours ago
My assumption is one of two things. Either I broke my damn computer somehow or a patch has caused it to go bonkers.
TotalBiscuit @Totalbiscuit 9h9 hours ago
I'll keep working to try and find out what the hells happening.
TotalBiscuit @Totalbiscuit 9h9 hours ago
This is a real mystery. It's literally a 50% performance drop since this morning. Anyone else got it and have this issue?
TotalBiscuit @Totalbiscuit 9h9 hours ago
Driver rollbacks and reinstalls. So much for getting to bed at a decent hour.
TotalBiscuit @Totalbiscuit 9h9 hours ago
No dice on clean reinstall of latest drivers, trying a rollback.

Multiple streamers have reported similar issues. Strongly suggest holding off Day 1 purchase until this is resolved.
I think this might be BS, as both Amazon and USPS show that the adapter was "Delivered" yesterday. I'm afraid he's trying to scam me here, and I wish I had added Signature Confirmation.Hi there. I'm sorry, this is the second time this has happened to me in 2 weeks, but this iten [sic] wasn't in my doorstep as it should have been ( although it says "delivered" in the status ). Since i haven't recieved [sic] anything, i kindly request a refund.
If anyone's curious what it looks like after applying handicaps, I doctored it up on the spreadsheet as if the week has ended (but it hasn't, don't worry crunchewy). I think this system works a bit better than I'd expected, but I expected it to be a horrifying train wreck.I'm definitely not going to do this every morning, but I wanted to write these down so I can check how the handicaps work later:
Crunchewy - 49,972,786,350
Zimm - 39,666,291,710
Me - 15,676,073,530
Mitch - 9,589,550,090
Mpaullin - 7,239,191,930
Bumslie - 3,975,336,050
Soph - 908,337,090
Crunchewy and Zimm are baller asat pinball
Yeah, there's a good chance that's a scam because he's a.) not making any effort to actually figure out where theI already emailed Amazon about this, but I'm interested to hear input from you guys, too:
I sold a brand-new Wii U Gamecube Adapter on Amazon on 1/21 for roughly $55 after fees/whatnot and shipped it off within the next day via First Class w/ USPS Tracking. The buyer contacted me two days after the initial purchase (1/23) to say that he was leaving the country on 1/31 and that he wanted to be assured that the adapter would arrive before then; I told him that according to the USPS Tracker, it was set to be delivered on Monday, 1/26 (yesterday), and that he had no reason to worry.
Fast forward to today, and the buyer sent me this email:

As I said, I asked Amazon for their thoughts on how I should handle this, but what do you guys think?
Through Amazon.Yeah, there's a good chance that's a scam because he's a.) not making any effort to actually figure out where thehis mail on his front porch is going and b.) he is not a good speller.
Did you buy your shipping through amazon or outside of their system?
Looking good! I definitely intend to increase my score, though. Strictly curious, sorry. I see that the question I asked appeared to be leading to something. But no! I haven't had to deal with amazon with this sort of thing, but you should obviously not refund anything without the buyer making a claim. He acknowledges that this same thing has happened at his house recently and it shows as delivered with the correct address on the label, so it'll be up to the fates. Hopefully you'll be fine.Through Amazon.
I guess either Johnny or Sue is adopted?https://www.youtube.com/watch?x-yt-cl=84838260&x-yt-ts=1422327029&v=e-BVs-KCSiA
I think so, but I can't remember if they confirmed which one would be.I guess either Johnny or Sue is adopted?
Regardless, I appreciate your input. Should I wait for Amazon's response before questioning the guy about his undelivered-mail excuse?Strictly curious, sorry. You should be forward with Amazon about this. It looks like he's trying to scam you, so handle it like you're going to trial. Gather your evidence, present your case. Amazon does usually tend to side with the buyer, so pay mind to how you explain things to them.I already emailed Amazon about this, but I'm interested to hear input from you guys, too:

Yeah, I always steer clear of playing accuser/jr detective in these situations. If I was in your seat I'd ask him to contact the local post office regarding the delivery not being on his porch despite the tracking information showing it as delivered (this is likely what amazon would ask him to do also) and if they can't help to contact amazon to open a claim (which I think he can't quite yet - minimum of three days after the max delivery date?)Regardless, I appreciate your input. I was hoping you were linking to them finally listing Operation Abyss. Noope.new mega vita release listed for preorder on best buy's site!

that's originally what i was looking for after i saw the screens you posted in the jap thread. looks a lot like demon gaze. they did put some new preorders up. hyperdimension U and toukiden kiwami.I was hoping you were linking to them finally listing Operation Abyss. Noope.
If I do that, should I ask him just to contact the post office without suggesting the Amazon backup option just yet? You're not in the business of giving free shit away, so politely stand your ground and stick to the official claims channels. Feel free to be very apologetic for the inconvenience, but don't offer any compensation outside of the system.
With Operation Abyss releasing a month after Type-0, I'm hoping I can knock out Type-0, trade it in, then use the credit + GCU to pay nothing out of pocket for OA.that's originally what i was looking for after i saw the screens you posted in the jap thread. looks a lot like demon gaze. they did put some new preorders up. hyperdimension U and toukiden kiwami.
I wouldn't call the dude playing Torch (Michael B. Jordan) a nobody. He was awesome on Friday Night Lights, where most people probably know him. In a bunch of movies since then too. I'd say he's about as well known as Chris Evans was when the first F4 came out. Granted that one had the Chiklets guy and hot hot Jessica Alba. What am I talking about again?Oh, just realized that Sue is played by Zoe from House of Cards. She was annoying in that, but it's the only thing I've seen her in. Hopefully it was just the role she was playing.
Weird that the cast is a bunch of nobodies. Not bad, but a bit surprising. Usually there's some star power to suck people in. Doesn't seem to be the case here.
Yeah, I mean ultimately you have to do everything in steps. So step 1 - try to help. If he's unwilling or the post office is useless, then suggest step 2 - contact amazon for a claim. Suggesting it all at once would probably look a bit dickish. If I do that, should I ask him just to contact the post office without suggesting the Amazon backup option just yet? If he is a scammer, he might just go with Amazon to maximize his chances of getting a refund.
Fart them from behind. What do you do when people can block your farts?
Use those special abilities? That was like a whole month or two ago man. What do you do when people can block your farts?

Nooo I need to start waking up early.Interesting--apparently Gamestop.com might have mixed up the Dying Light Season Pass digital code listing, instead giving out full game codes for $19.99...
https://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/341854-dying-light-ps4-season-pass-is-the-actual-game/
Try it at your own risk.
EDIT: Lots of people are reporting getting the full game when they buy the Season Pass at GS.com on PS4 only. Even at $20 for a $60 game, I'm not sure I'll bite, especially since it would be digital and therefore unsellable/tradable.
The parts I bold-underlined are comforting. I did ask the buyer to contact his post office, so now there's nothing to do but wait.I understand that you've shipped out an order and the customer claiming that he/she had not received the order yet.
I also understand that the carrier also confirming that the package was delivered.
An occasional lost shipment is one of the costs of doing business, and handling the situation requires a business decision that only you can make.
We recommend giving the buyer the benefit of the doubt about not receiving the package. Even when a package is signed for, it is possible it was delivered to a wrong address and signed for at that address. Again though, it is up to you to decide how to proceed.
Here are two options and the possible consequences of each:
1) Issue a full refund for the order or send the product to the buyer a second time. This is usually the most customer-friendly option. If the original order eventually arrives, and the buyer would like to be re-charged for it, you can provide this link so the buyer can contact Amazon Customer Service to request the re-charge: http://www.amazon.com/contact-us ;
2) Do not issue a refund or send the product to the buyer a second time. This option might prompt the buyer to leave negative feedback on your seller account, or file an A-to-z Guarantee claim, or both. See this Help page for more information about claims:
http://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/201278520
If the buyer leaves a negative feedback, please contact us back, we will help you by removing the negative feedback because there is no fault from your side.
If the buyer submits a A-Z claim, please contact our seller guarantee team through [email protected] so that they will maintain your metrics, because there is no fault from your side.
This is why I prefer amazon over Ebay for selling items.I know you're all really interested in my Amazon-buyer saga, so here's part of Amazon's response:
The parts I bold-underlined are comforting. I did ask the buyer to contact his post office, so now there's nothing to do but wait.
They would let the claim proceed though. So there's that too...TL;DR version, Amazon would like you refund to keep the other guy happy, but if you don't want to do that, they don't really care. They won't let it affect your feedback.
Looks pretty good for you to me.
