First hour or so of lords of shadow 2 is pretty slow. Lots of cut scenes. Fairly interesting but hard to follow. Rum and coke may be culprit there though. At leas they are skippable!

You also run into that when former series regulars are suddenly billed as "special guest stars" in the opening credits of season premieres which means they are probably going to die in that episode. That happened to me on one of the seasons of 24.

Not always, I can think of several instances when a surprise guest star was the very first credit in the end of episode credits.

 
Just got that email from Gamestop about the 30% off a pre-owned item under $20. Deal starts tomorrow (12/4) for Powerup Rewards members, with it being available on 12/5 for non-members. Also seems like it will be available online, but I think it's always been spotty in terms of quality and including the case/manual.

More of a reminder for Vig as I saw it posted earlier.

Yeah your score has risen quickly. Only about 1,200 points behind Matt now though. If he gets the Destiny plat soon and starts playing other games, then I'm left in the dust again.

And it's not like the Okami plat shot my score up in a hurry. Took me a solid month since I lost 2 weeks progress.

Been working on Thorn, guess I need to stop since it'll just reset to upgrade it.

Also no idea bout these commendation things, if you have to rank up vanguard or crucible rep to get 1 to buy 1 item, fuck that shit. would take forever, and then wtf are you supposed to use your marks on if you cant buy anything because you dont have a silly commendation thing? Its not like getting a rank in rep is quick...

 
So I dont really follow you guys much when you talk about Destiny.  If you went for a flawless raid, what didnt go flawlessly?  I dont see any deaths in that screen shot.  So how did you not do whatever it is you thought you were going to do?

Also, I know I complained that it was going to be 80 all week.  Boy was I wrong.  Its been fantastic weather all week.  Pisses me off I worked and didnt play any golf.  It hasnt quite gotten out of the 70s each day and we have had some cool breezes with very little humidity. 

How does that make you feel Zimm (Stotch or anyone else in the NE)?  You mad or naw?

After starting Shadows of Mordor last night, I am surprised you guys did not seem to compare it more to Assassin's Creed.  I knew there was some mention of it, but it was way more similar than I ever remember you guys mentioning.  Small things like auto stealth in the bushes, not wanting to go up the climbing section you want the character to go up but going up all the ones you dont, the towers to unlock regions, the secondary objectives in missions, and I am sure I am forgetting others seemed like straight up rip-offs of Assassin's Creed.

It is definitely still a fun game, but I am a bit surprised just how much it borrowed from that franchise.

I love winter weather (well, snow. Not so much icy roads) until about January 1. Then I'm fucking ready for spring.

We didn't go into as many specifics, but pretty much everybody said it felt like a mix of AC for movement and the Arkham games for combat.

Honestly the game doesn't start out that great. It's balanced for later on. Once you get shadow step and drain, though, movement becomes fantastic, and once you get your combat skills upgraded a bit that's a lot of fun as well.

I still haven't gotten my email about this. Weird. I checked my "In-Store Offers" tab in the Android app and it's not listed there either.

 
Yeah Gator, I think we all mentioned SoM and Ass Creed but no one went on a Therm level diatribe about it.  It was a lot of fun at first, but I actually got bored of it after a while and just wanted to finish it.  Then it just...ended.   Oh that ending.  You will love it!

I like it. Consistent bat, decent glove. Won the gold glove this past year. I think I read somewhere he has never struck out 100 times in a season. Very durable and consistent. Definitely a step down from Heyward overall, but for a fraction of what Heyward will cost. I think this team can use some good veteran leadership as well. He'll probably hit leadoff. I can dig it.

I actually did go into a decent level of detail about the movement. It was more observations about how simplified it was, though, and how AC's feels much better. Shadow Step did wonders for that, though.

I'm still wondering if that and the birthday code stack. Use both plus the b2g1 that's still running... :D/

Though honestly at this point I'm coming up empty on PS3 games I want but haven't bought. There'd be more for Vita if those games were released physically, but the selection is pretty damn limiting...I guess I might look into that One Piece game, though that looks like something that might be better on another system. OTOH I do want to move away from PS3 so Vita is probably the better choice due to that.

Otherwise I guess I should look into Danganronpa, Hyperdimension neptunia Re;Birth1, and Senran Kagura. Maybe Deception IV. Thoughts on these?
