This game has actually been smacking me around a bit. Is there a good car to stick to for a while? I can't seem to settle.

Also, I have lbp3 ready to pick up. I'll probably snag it Monday if you want to give it a go next week.
I think it is the Aston Martin V12 that I have settled on. Mainly because I liked the handling of it. Plus since you have to get the upgrades all on one car it seemed like a good one to use. The race I had to get first on in it to open one of the mods was the one I was mentioning kicking my ass though. An average speed of 130 over that course took me a lot of tries. I am sure wren will post about how I suck in racing games though. He is right about that.

Just let me know whenever you have it and we can give it a try.

I forgot to make changes to my Q after your report on TWD s2 on Vita. They just sent it to me yesterday. They sent Lego Batman 2 before that. The Vita looks like it is going to get a workout.

I know I am reaching back a few days on this one, but I did that race last night on the Vita. It was the one with the 2 drainage pipe things you had to go through at the end? I screwed it up big time on my first try but got it on my second. Full disclosure though, there was another race I had already done where you had to go through those same tubes at the end. I failed that one a lot before getting the path down. I screwed up on the Most Wanted race the first time because I was not expecting it to go through that path. It is kind of tough to pay attention to the mini map and where you are going. I got it the second time when I knew the path.

wren, I finally got that one speed run that was kicking my ass. It was about 1 am when I did though. I hope there are not too many of that type of race in the game. I really hate those average speed type things.
I was usually going so fast that I couldn't really see ahead and know exactly where to turn so I was always too early or too late. It just seemed like such a fine line and it was pissing me off.

And yes every car has a couple of those speed runs, very annoying indeed. The one I was doing yesterday was nearly impossible and it had the added issue of kamikaze cop cars just destroying me. I honestly don't believe that I could have gotten gold in that race even without the cops.

I'm still looking for a good car to unlock all the pro mods on because those damn speed runs are holding me back.

Yeah I know but I really had that urge to play it right now. Since it is a opened "new" copy, you think I can just play it tonight and then find someone with Bestbuy GCU and get a new copy for cheaper?
It's marked as new but their policy clearly indicates opening anything new voids the return policy. Not sure how that meshes with their pre-opened new games. The GS sticker for those games is generally stuck right on the case itself (with sealed new it's on the outside of the plastic wrap) so they may differentiate it with that and give you the used return policy. They might not.
If it was really an opened "new" copy, you might have trouble returning it since Gamestop is supposed to put a plastic seal over the front of any gutted "new" games they sell. Unfortunately, I've encountered quite a few employees who forgot to put the plastic seal and I had to remind them to do so.
Attention Attention WTF? If you can get it cheaper at BB and it's the same exact game just buy it there and then returned the sealed copy to Gamestop. Problem solved.

Oh and one thing that really pissed me off was he was changing the cases with artwork with those shitty gamestop cases. It may not bother some of you but it really irritates me.
This really pisses me off even if it's not a generic gamestop case. I take the time to pick out some clean cases and artwork that include a manual and the guy at the counter swaps them out for some shitty water stained artwork and no manual. Just put the damn discs in the cases I brought up to you please.

I always liked the Audis and the Corvette in Most Wanted. I am sure there are better cars though. Depends on how lose you like it.
I think I used the Lambo Gallardo to win as many Most Wanted races as I could until I unlocked the Pagani at #2. Then I just went back and did all the other races I hadn't won with that one.

If we play at around the same time tonight, I should be able to as long as we're done in an hour or so(up to 8:30/9est). Got invited to be a judge for a bikini contest.

Like I said above, game wasn't sealed. They forgot to put the opened"new" seal on it.
So you keep the non-sealed one and return the sealed one from best buy that you got for less. As long as the upc is the same your fine. Unless it says somewhere on the receipt "opened new game" which I'm guessing is not the case. So you get the gamestop $$$ back and pay the BB price keeping the opened new copy.

I almost never can use the really high end super cars like that in games. They just always seem to be so loose in the rear end. If there is ever a Lotus I usually go with it since it handles really well. I just always end up sideways trying to drive a Lambo it seems. That was why I decided to go with the Aston Martin last night since it handled really well. After about 40 tries to unlock the aero upgrade by doing that speed run I was starting to worry I might have to pick another car.

Gronk is dumb as hell, but somehow he still seems smarter than Mike Alstott. Holy fuck that guy is dumb. At least Gronk pulls porn stars and other hot ass. Mike could get any woman he wanted and got married to some homely (for a pro athlete wife) looking woman.
Didn't he go to Purdue? Homely is a step up.

Holy Crap you are dense:

WHAT ARE U MISSING HERE?

YOU DESERVE TO PAY MORE.

He may not be interested in what is really a version of return fraud. All of us look for the best way to get a cheap price, but some things we are not all willing to do for a few bucks.
IT"S NOT RETURN FRAUD IT'S THE SAME fuck ing game! Holy shit. Return fraud is when you try to return a game for more $$$. Like you got it at Best Buy for $10 and then try to return it to Wal-Mart for $50. If you bought the game at Gamestop for $30 and return it to Gamestop for $30 there is no fraud involved. If anything you are doing Gamestop a favor by giving them a sealed copy as opposed to the shitty opened one they gave you.

Guys, what jkam's describing will work, and I don't think it technically qualifies as return fraud since, if anything, you're giving Gamestop more than you bought from them in the first place. There's no way for an employee to know that the game wasn't sealed, and they'll just gut it anyway.

While picking up a copy from BB and returning it to GS sounds great and I don't consider it return fraud at all, I think everybody has skipped over the most important question:

Does Best Buy sell Demon Gaze?

thats what I was wondering. all my best buys have almost no vita games. I cant imagine many of them around the country would have demon gaze in stock.

I have to use Tapatalk because CAG on my phone is a disaster today. Anyone else seeing that?

Tapatalk iOS just got an update that tries to fix some of what they wrecked. Not very successfully

Jesus we're going on 20 mins of this meeting now working on logins and passwords....

I went to a best buy this week and they had ten games for the vita. Don't look now, but I think they might be trying to get out of the vita business. Or at least give it a shoebox sized space on the shelf.

Yeah think about this way, if you had bought the game at Gamestop for $30 and then found it at BB for $15...bought both on the same day grabbed both games mixed them up until you didn't know which copy came from where (because there's now way to tell because it's the same fuck ing game with the same fuck ing UPC) and opened one and returned one to Gamestop for $30 did you do anything wrong? Hell fuck ing no. You returned a game. Is there anything wrong with the item? No. Is it not the same item? No. Did you make money off of Gamestop by returning it? No.

The difference is you bought it from BB for $15 instead of for $30 from Gamestop.

I can only earn two more trophies if I want the geometry wars plat to be number 4000. I only have like 100k geoms left and I'm done which is like another 2 or 3 hours. Excitement!

And yeah, not return fraud as far as I'm concerned. He did actually buy it from gs, so it's not like the ever popular 'buy for $10 from somewhere and return to Walmart without a receipt for $60' thing.

Not that it matters anyways. Everyone should get all of their games from the library. Vig is a genius.

Just needed to make it clear, I don't believe in return fraud bullshit. I never have no ever will do that crap.

Are you defrauding Gamestop? No, you are not stealing money from them since you are returning another version of the same product they sold you.  Is it sill return fraud? Yes, it is.  By returning the game you bought at another location claiming it is what you bought from them, it is fraudulent.  You are doing it for your own personal gain.

If you are OK with that, then fine.  I would not do it.

So what I did with jabba the hutt is against your moral code?

Bought it from amazon and it came with the box a little messed up. bought a better looking one at target and returned the one from amazon to target. One I bought from amazon was 20, one from target was 40. To target they still have the same item, albeit the box on the one they have now is not as nice as the box on the one I have.

No library should ever carry Vita/portable games due to the inevitability of patrons losing cartridges.
The selection would be pretty damn small anyway.

Oh, this was great:

http://www.avclub.com/article/director-phantom-menace-says-todays-movies-lack-su-214571

While attending a panel discussion at the Sundance Film Festival yesterday, George Lucas, the man who created the original Star Wars series—a phenomenon that launched an industry-wide push for increased spectacle and tie-in merchandising—and directed Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace—a slick effects reel that pushed film into the digital age, while also putting acting, pacing, and basic storytelling a distant second—has declared that movies today are “more and more circus without any substance behind it.”

Nearly in the same breath in which he attacked modern movies’ flash over substance, Lucas also defended that technological flash, saying, “All art is technology. That’s the one thing that separates us from animals.” (Well, that and opposable thumbs, the gift of speech, a broad emotional spectrum, and the ability to recognize that Revenge Of The Sith was much better than the two films that preceded it, but still pretty crummy.)

Lucas also took the time to take a shot at YouTube, saying he never could have predicted its success, and adding, “I would never guess people would watch cats do stupid things all day long.” Lucas does, however, believe that people would watch Hayden Christensen.
Yes, I copied the whole damn article. :D/ :D/

If you look at the very first line in that it says about defrauding the store. I said in the very first line you are not defrauding Gamestop.

Since you want to use wikipedia, let's look at this.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fraud

Is what you are doing unlawful? Nope, I don't think so anyway. Is it an unfair practice? Depends. If you told Gamestop you were returning a copy you bought at Best Buy so you could save a few bucks and they were cool with that, then no. Otherwise, yes.

I had the electric company over today to do an energy planner program they do. To try and save some money. The guy was showing me how to use their website. He was pleasantly surprise I could navigate a website better than a 6 year old. I guess he has to deal with so many old people and they dont have a fuck ing clue how to navigate a simple website.

That would be my mom.
