League Bowling reminds me I really want them to release or remake that Genesis classic.  Cool Spot.

I think I beat W&W or W&W2, but not both of them. It's been forever, though.

Considering the Samurai Showdown anthology. The original game was great on SNES. Not sure how the other games in the anthology are, but it does include 1-6.

I'll never understand the appeal of these old SNK games, back in the day yeah sure but now it's like Madonna trying to be relevant. I don't mind old games or compilations but I feel like these titles just keep getting regurgitated.

I'd normally get home around 7pm PST on Thursday, but I can leave work earlier if that'd be too late for east coast folks.
If one of us can get 5 quests set to turn in at the tower, I wouldn't mind playing then since it would take a matter of minutes to get Polyamory (like Keeper said) and we could work for a bit longer to get the co-op competition trophies. I'd prefer to be done with the online stuff by 11:30pm EST that night.

Nostalgia, I guess. I was never an arcade gamer so most of their stuff just never appealed to me.

Is Sony really not adding any more games to the Konami sale? I hardly consider 6 games plus no Symphony of the Night a true "Konami" sale.
If Frogger Returns is cheap enough, I may get it. I have played it twice, but due to an odd set of circumstances, it was the UK and JP versions.

They would appeal to me if they had some trophies to go after. And they should all be $2 or less, then I would probably buy several anyway.

Baseball Stars and Ikari Warriors were the the shit.

Back to finishing up GR.

Microsoft is giving away 2 free years of 100GB of storage for OneDrive if anyone needs online storage.

Also stacks with the 100GB they did in June and doesn't cost any Bing points this time.

No Suikoden 2 means it's a shit sale.

I dont remember Baseball Stars, but Ikari Warriors was a truly unique arcade experience. Was there ever another game that used the rotary joysticks like that?

I had planned on building a MAME cabinet at one point. I was going to add those sticks just for that game. Having kids killed that project.

I dont know if any other game used the joysticks like that. I also dont know what a MAME is. Unless you are trying to hurt someone.

I remember downloading a torrent of a shitload of those roms probably 10 years ago. They were fun for a while, namely the old WWF games, but like Zimm said, some were too much work to get them to run properly.

Mame is great as is stuff like Mamewah or Hyperspin to control it as a front-end. I'd love a mame cabinet but it would take time I no longer have as well. A digital pinball setup would be nice too. It always bothered me how long it takes to setup Hyperspin properly as well as keeping up with Mame releases. A lot of cool stuff you can do though if you have the time.

There wasn't really that much work required. You just had to had a verified set of ROMs. There was/is? a program that a guy wrote that could validate your ROM set based on known MD5 hashes that were pulled from the MAME source for each release. If a particular game passed that check it would almost always play. Occasionally there would be games who had unbreakable sound chips in them. Even then, many of the front ends supported adding in audio samples and would play those out at the right time.

I am pretty sure I still have a full verified set although it was from long ago. That was even after they added the HD image dumps so they could emulate games like Killer Instinct. It took up multiple DVDs.

I ordered a set of CDs of a complete rom archive for some version of MAME years ago. I still have the CDs somewhere but you have to use an older version of MAME because they made changes that made the older versions of the ROMs incompatible with the newer MAME. The CDs were provided inexpensively such that you were paying for the service, and not the roms. I think that was an attempt to make it legal. Kind of doubt that it was.

Somebody answer that Baseball Stars question, please! I'd be up for a good arcade baseball game and I've always heard these were good, but which is the better one?
