Is Papa Y Yo the Spanish version of Papa N Yo? Que divertido!

Tempted by Lone Survivor for Vita... I hear it's relatively short, but I guess I'm afraid it might be too difficult or something. Has anybody played it?

Papa & Yo is the game that tests of you have daddy issues. If you don't like it that means you do.

Did you not stream very long tonight? Got the email and hoped on at around 10:30 EST to see what you were doing which was nothing at that point.

Good job PSN. I apparently got my $15 credit at 5:07 PM but it only just showed up at 4 AM. Been checking all day to do it's not like I missed it and the Vita notified me when I was already a few minutes into a game.

Just 90 minutes because I had to work the graveyard shift. Also, my computer was acting up and nobody could hear the cohosts. Will be streaming for 90 tomorrow and Thursday too (plus some early testing tomorrow). Saturday I might go late since I'll be off then.

Did they email you about the $15 credit? I haven't heard a word or received it yet.

I got a PSN message yesterday around 4pm about it. Of course the Android PSN app won't let me see the code so I need to pull it up in one of my consoles, but I'll do that tonight.

It was alright. Not really difficult but some off the connections you need to make between how items are used and where you need to go can be a little obscure. I don't know how long you've been playing games, but it kind of reminded me of Maniac Mansion in that sense. Also there's a limited quantity of resources in the game so you need to take advantage of sneaking past a lot of enemies rather than taking them on.

And just a little disclaimer; I played it on the PS3 so I'm not sure off any differences or bugs the vita version might have, if any.

I played through it exclusively on Vita and didn't run into any issues. It's a cool interesting mind fuck kind of game. If you want the plat, check guides to know conditions for certain endings. Pretty clever game, but as Kracker said, some obscure puzzle solutions.

Just raided with a few randoms and when I went to leave, they got sad and called me the MVP of the night since I put the team on my back multiple times. Why can't my regular raid group recognize skill like that? Haha, shit was fun, finally got Corrective Measure too.
That's what happens when you're the 5th or 6th best player in your regular group, though.

It took me like a week to get into that mansion in maniac mansion. stupid pulling on the rug to find the key or something. great game :)

oh also dangonronpa plat, so yup. just mopped up that game in march.

So yesterday I had a fun interaction. Novel ahead.

My house phone kept ringing off the hook, which is weird because I wasn't working and that phone is 100% a work phone. So finally, I glance at the caller ID, and it says "US Internal Revenue Service - 1800-829-1040." I quickly look up the number and find out it is the actual number for the IRS. Oh shit, I better answer it next time. So I do.

Some guy gets on and gives me his name, tells me he's an IRS agent, and then gives me his badge number. Then he asks me if I'm familiar with the lawsuit that's being filed against me by the IRS...which of course, I'm not. Now, naturally my brain goes into immediate oh shit mode, but I stay calm and tell him I have no clue what he's talking about. He asks if I would like more information, so I say yes. He puts me on hold to get my file.

Now, looking back on it, there should have been red flags everywhere, but since I knew the number was legit, and the guy mentioned lawsuit, I'm not thinking rationally, and instead trying to go back and figure out what the hell I've done wrong. The dude comes back after like two minutes, says "Hello sir, are you still there?" I say yes, but then the line disconnects.

My first thing was to call the number back and see if I could get someone else to tell me what was going on. I called the number, and the only services they provide on Tuesdays are tax filing return inquiries, and it said I should call back Wednesday if I needed to speak to them about other things. Cool. Meanwhile, I've been texting my wife telling her what's going on, and she asks a question that I should've thought of...how did the IRS get my home phone number? I use it for work only, and on everything I've ever filled out for any state, local, or federal agency, I've put my cell phone.

So I start to do some digging, just typing "IRS lawsuit" into Google gave me all the information I needed. Apparently it's all a big scam. These people call and say they have a lawsuit, that you face huge fines, that you'll be arrested, blah blah blah, unless you give your bank account information or a credit card to them so they can pay off the debt you owe. Fortunately for myself, I'm smart enough to never let it get that far. If they were demanding money from me, I would have told them I'd see them in court before giving out my info over the phone.

But when you read these articles, there are stories about people who actually fall for it. I thought it would be all old people who might be easily suckered, but it's not. There are younger people falling for this shit, all the time. I guess the going rate is $5000 to "settle your debt." It just makes zero sense to me that people are dumb enough to give away this information over the phone and then cry about it when something bad happens.

Oh, and the reason it came up as a legit IRS number is because if you use certain VOIP services like Magic Jack, you can apparently manipulate the caller ID number and name you're calling from.

Whelp, finally finished off Rogue Legacy. A great game that deserves every bit of praise it received. Just gonna sit here and let the end song repeat a few times...

Yet another amazing game played courtesy of PS+... oh, umm... I mean DEATH TO SONY!!!

Here at work I can change my outbound caller id to anything I want. I don't think our PRI (23-24 digital phone line) providers or phone system allows us to change the name on the fly. But many do. So yeah caller id isn't really secure. I would think they IRS would send you something registered mail with signature required if they really wanted to get a hold of you. There are stories of people getting calls from their own phone line according to the caller id.

Yeah, I get those calls all the time but I never answer them. Pisses me off though when I'm clearing out my messages and several of them are these "lawsuits" that I have out against me. You wouldn't think that in this day and age it would be that hard to track these people down and shove a boot up their ass, but they find ways around it.

Maybe not in Stotch's case but many times it is some foreigner in some 3rd world country.

Yeah the dude I talked to didn't have an accent. And I usually ignore calls that aren't from work, but since this one had called me 100 times and it had a legit looking number, I got suckered into answering it.

Not saying your wrong, but I've received dozens of these calls over the past few months and they've never had an accent of any kind and actually sound fairly professional.
I haven't received the IRS calls so those might be different. Many of the other calls I am pretty sure have been foreigners.

I barely answer the home phone anymore. Other then my MIL pretty much 90% of the calls are bogus anyway. I gave out my cell to people / companies I want to call me back. We moved in November and got a new number and I don't even remember what it is. Some day I can see getting a better cellphone and plan for my wife and just dumping the home phone. But usually the triple play is a better deal. Maybe just not bother hooking up a phone to it.

Had some learning center call multiple times a day. If they are legit they will usually leave a voicemail. These clowns never do. I block the number and they call from another number. So the last few times I answered it and put the phone in front of the TV speaker and turned it up a bit. I think those clowns stopped finally but there are always others.

I had one that tried to scam me after I had given birth. They tried to tell me I needed to pay them 3k for my epidural and when I told them my insurance had covered it and to send me proof in writing so I can forward to my insurance I never heard from them again. I called my insurance just to double check and they had never heard of this so called company that was trying to scam me. The people on the phone that were demanding money from me all had the typical call center outsourced accent though so who knows what was going on with that

Level with me guys, who's really actually hyped for vr headsets? I just don't know if it would be possible for me to give less of a fuck, but jesus these companies sure are pushing it.

VR is dumb.  Until we live in a complete virtual world where we dont actually have to use our bodies anymore I dont understand why we would want VR.  Its like 3D and google glass.  If you have to wear it on your head people arent going to use it.

I have no interest

I don't see it going well and don't think we should be doing it

I also saw the movie Gamer though so maybe that's why I don't like it so much as well

Not that that would happen I just don't think these things are good for us

Yeah no interest in strapping some goofy head gear on. Part of why I didn't care about 3d TV either.

Maybe some day when it is something you put in a room and just experience I could see it being cool. I will probably be dead before something like that is available to the masses if ever.

Helldivers players.  Apparently we got a "Humblebee UAV Aerial vehicle" as part of the ranger bundle for buying the game.  Did anyone see aerial vehicles we could use yet?  I didnt so I assume we have to wait to get to a certain level to use it.

Also I will probably be playing Apotheon for a bit early tonight until my daughter comes home.  I wont be playing helldivers until after she comes home and goes to bed.  So around 830-9pm ET.

I guess I'll give OlliOlli2 a shot, but I don't think I'm going to like it.  Stringing together a bunch of button combos just isn't that fun to me... same reason I don't like fighting games.

Actually, the only buttons OlliOlli2 uses are L/R (Vita) and X. Nearly all of the controls and combos rely on the analog stick.

Damn, Zombie Army Trilogy has 321 ratings and a full 5 stars on PSN.  I know that isnt necessaarily a good measure, but I am surprised there are that many ratings and a perfect 5 stars...fuck I want to buy it so bad.  But no way $40 for digital.

I'd like to meet the seven people that bought it for $120 or whatever.

Also, how is that program still operating? I can't wrap my head around how it's profitable or at least beneficial to best buy.

Actually, shut up. And your face is stupid. Change your avatar snakey.

I assume you're going to let us know when that MGS goes up for preorder?

And wtf BBY on that GCU price... that's great if the program sticks around but how can they afford this?

I've got a friend with the Oculus Rift. I've tried it out. It was definitely a first-gen piece of hardware. The LCDs were very low-quality; sub-par resolution right in your face meant you could see each pixel very clearly, the video was blurry, and the closeness of the LCDs caused fogging. Overall it was pretty uncomfortable. He got the 2nd gen one as well but I've not tried it yet. He did say it's a lot better.

The concept is really cool, though. The two "games" he had were a rollercoaster thing and walking around a castle. Looking around was actually really neat and I think with tech advances it'll be pretty worthwhile. If you have issues with 3D games and nausea you'll want to stay far, far away from it.

Hey I'm not the only one who thought it was Snakey when I saw the avi!
