Doubtful the dreads. Usually dreads means your hair is really disgustingly nasty. At least for white people dreads.

I was not going to point out that those products are more commonly used by African Americans, but since Mr Big Bucks broke that boundary already.... I have only experienced African Americans that smell very strongly of coconut. I assumed it was from a lotion since a couple of times it has been bald dudes with the aroma.

Yeah I hear ya. Unfortunatly Vita is my best option if I want to play more baseball. Not worth it to get the PS3 one for me, though I'd totally grab PS4 version if I had one.

I would love a Vita Madden to play in the fall. I don't know why that's not happening. Or fuck even a Tecmo Bowl. Or NES Play Action Football. Sony can make that right?

Not to mention that some kids are not test takers... but that doesn't mean they are not smart. Honestly lots of tests are just memorization rather then what you actually learned as well... Overall it is a bad way to grade schools out.

In other news, a school my wife is looking to intern at requires every student to have a tablet on the parents dime! Is this normal now? It's a public school.

Yes, I was trying to agree with that part, but I can assure you that the Baltimore City schools don't have good ratings at all. You should avoid schools that have really bad ratings because it does reflect a caustic environment.

It was showing the locked "we don't have the trophies loaded yet" images when I first updated the card last night. This morning they at least have the trophy list now. But yeah total lamesauce that I don't get a trophy card image yet. Hopefully something is up later today, unless of course its a Cardinal or Cub player because fuck those guys.

 
Oh yea, started rogue last night, only played a few minutes since I had to wait for like 20 mins for the damn install.

Pretty good graphics still for the ps3. dont like r1 is sprint, used to r2 on ps4.

Lots of collectibles from the get go.

I know this is a bad generalization, but I am going to say it anyways since it is what I have experienced.

Every time I hear someone say they are just bad at taking tests...they are dumb. Never met a smart person that failed tests. Now maybe you can only get a mid level or average grade on a test but you dont fail them.

 
Not sure how I like only that plate having a little design on it. Controller looks sweet, but I think at this point I'll just hope for a skylight batman plate.

You realize you are kind of agreeing with him here in a way. The smart kids who are bad test takers do still make average grades, you are right. The school rankings are based on the scores which would then be much lower compared to the intelligence of the students if you had a lot of those kids. A whole lot of average grades means your school does not look as good compared to others.

Nobody in this country is OK with average. They always want the best without wondering if that is what works for their kid or not.

meh, at the end of the day I know my kid is fairly smart and both her parents are also somewhat intelligent and we will both be on her to get good grades in school. So as long as we like her teachers at any school she is at she will be fine. It can be a C or whatever they want to grade it.

Full disclosure my kid currently goes to the "2nd best" grade school in our county. The "best" is right down the road.

So is it totally weird that I don't give a shit if my kids are smart? I'd much rather them be completely average or less but happy with themselves and have a love of their life and the world. I'll be way more impressed if one of them makes an awesome butterfly drawing or figures out on their own time how a motor works than an A on a math test. Grades and school have become pretty meaningless to me I guess after seeing the net result of it in my adult life.

That's not to say that people that find meaning and value in it shouldn't and I don't mean to insult (and there is definitely value in education and an interest in learning), it's just that school proper is not for me.

Not at all man. They dont have to be "smart". Just hope they arent dumb. I graduated HS with a 2.2 GPA (barely graduated) and never gave a shit about school either. I got my college degree (and a masters) but I never thought of it as something that had to be done in order to do well in life.

 
Wow good list.  I have killzone mercenary and dishonored but i'll check out the other 4.  New games there. Aura, Tower of Guns, Neveralone, and Monster Bag.  2 brand new releases and 2 that have just been out a month or so.

I've happy with this month.  4 out of 6 games I don't own.  Killzone was only $9 and I only have Dishonored thanks to mildhandsomepeteobstructionjeff

Tower of Guns would probably be best, since it's randomly generated everything. Also this from their webpage:

they finally add a nice vita game, and it's one i bought ages ago, killzone. happy that it might be populated again though. i did really well in the few matches i played of mp on it. i figured our next retail game was going to be that or lbp.

hey have you guys heard? That game with the ballsack retro graphics is doing a limited physical release or something. I wish there was a news source that could provide more insight on the topic... :(

Never Alone is a puzzle platformer that only takes a couple of hours to beat. The collectibles in the game are short movies, that give insight into Alaskan culture. I really liked the game overall, and it was pretty cool to learn about the culture and mythology of the Alaskan Natives.
