Come dudes, get driveclub with me. It'll be a couple weeks til I'm up to the front of the queue. Maybe gator will get it too...
Honestly, with the shit I have been getting from Gamefly I would consider it. Problem is, you mainly only play at the ass crack of dawn and then don't want to use a mic when you play at normal times. That kind of sucks.

I've always meant to ask... what the fuck kind of municipalities do you guys live in that carry video games at the library? Let's see... schools are shit, traffic is shit, there are potholes in the roads... but fuck it, let's spend taxpayer money on video games for the public.
To entice young people to come in? Thinking "maybe they'll pick up a book too while they are here". I imagine they also get some donations from private citizens as well that perhaps can be applied to it.

So apparently the Zero Escape series isn't that popular in Japan and that's why they are having difficulties finishing the 3rd and final game, that sucks. The story telling is so great as they just slowly shave off the layers of the onion as you play through the different timelines.

I have no problem using a mic (and always did for helldivers on ps4), I'm just usually on remote play. but I definitely will for you sunshine.

If it pleases and sparkles. SUNSHINE!

I thought it was good and it's nothing like Angry Birds other than the flinging aspect. It's a platformer.
But it's a platformer where the whole mechanic is the flinging aspect. Might as well be Angry Birds World.

(off to register this idea and then sell it to Rovio for millions)

So I'm losing faith in getting Bloodborne from Gamefly. Is Type 0 worth getting? Not sure what else there is out right now that's worth playing (and I'll start and beat by the end of the month). Dark Souls 2 is Tuesday I think but no guarantee I'll get that either.

I talked to my friend who has had DriveClub since launch.  He is still playing it and likes it, but he says it is crazy long to get the plat.  He is not sure the 30-45 hour estimate is even accurate.  He says it is all fun and everything is easy except some of the DLC trophies where you have to get all the stars.

It would probably take me a little while to get it since it is not Available Now but it is High Availability.  How long would the libraries allow you to keep the game?

I would imagine you would have a better shot at getting DS2R as most of the Soul's faithful would have already played it and will be busy with Bloodborne.

They also transfer materials between branches so they'll get 5 copies of a game but you can check it out from any of the 15-20 branches. Also, the central library has a green screen, full video editing setup, a 3d printer, open wifi and a bunch of other crazy crap. It's awesome, we just go to hang out sometimes.[/quote]
You know a library is super awesome when it becomes a hangout spot. I used to volunteer or just hang out and read books and tech and video game magazines at the library down the street from my house when I was a teen. That was before all those fancy DVDs and video game discs showed up! I need to go check it out again.

Just a week at a time, so 40 hours would take several checkouts. Lining up the timing would probably be nearly impossible. I'll look at a guide and see if the online required stuff can be knocked out quickly enough, but if not I'll just check it out and screw around with it to see what all the hubbub is about and maybe if the PS+ version materializes we can all play it together.

If no one else puts a hold on it or there are other copies available when people put a hold on it, I could renew it every week for up to 20 weeks.

The PSNP trophy guide doesn't cover the DLC trophies; would that account for the 30-45 hour estimate being too low?

Possibly, but doubtful. He has a lot of the DLC trophies, but the ones he is missing for the plat are the Level 50 one and Credit Where It's Due (Max Out one of each Gameplay, Game Mode, Vehicle, and Event Accolades). You would think for the first at least it would help to play all the extra hours in the DLC and he still doesn't have it.

Just realized that Kingdom Hearts 1.5 would apply to this month's theme. May see if I can fit that in this month depending on what I get from GF.

So what does Drive Club do that other racing games have not? And is it an arcade racer or a simulation?
I think both it and The Crew tried (and failed?) to somehow make a cooperative racing game setup without it being rally racing and instead everyone is a driver. I was told it was sim, but not to the extent of Gran Turismo if that helps.

No way am I paying $20 for something we should have at least gotten the light version of for free. How broken is this game that many months later they still can't promise a PS+ release at all now. To many other games I would take a chance on for $20 first.

If you didnt get Bloodborne sent to you already, I would not expect it to happen now. *MAYBE* if you let it ride as the only thing in your Q over the weekend and someone returns it. However, you may not be the only person attempting that. Since it is Low Availability now you would have to be the top of the list at the facility that serves you when one comes in.

Driveclub doesnt interest me in the slightest.  Not arcadey enough and the delays.  ugh. Plus I still need to try and get into Rivals...if I even can.  Derek says it gets better.  Hopefully he isnt a liar.  Like Pancakes.

Yeah, but then I'm also waiting and losing another week of this sub probably.
I renewed my membership for a $. I received my first two games 7 days after I joined. I returned 1 title the same day it arrived because I only needed one trophy for the platinum. I returned the other title on Tuesday. The website has updated that both replacements have been mailed, but I still haven't received anything. Their Fast Return system isn't very fast. I was planning on renewing my membership due to the collapse of gameshsring, but I think I'm just going to use my GCU from BBY.

Yeah, that's why I'm trying to figure out what I should get instead. Bloodborne I would probably buy when it goes on sale so it's not a huge loss. Type 0 I don't think I would want to buy based on reaction so that seems like a possible candidate. I'm just having trouble thinking of anything else that's come out this year that would be worth getting.

I had NFS Rivals at the top of my Q on gamefly since it was one of the few highly available, but I got Alien Isolation instead. Is Rivals at least as good as Hot Pursuit?

I think Derek said it was. I dont know. The driving feels "dead" and slow to me. My speedo says 120 MPH yet I feel like I am driving Ms Daisy. There just doesnt seem to be much of a sense of speed. Derek said the better cars feel better though. We will see.

This year

Toukiden

Guilty Gear

Dying Light

Evolve

Hardline

The Order

Rugby 15

Dragonball

RE: R2

Borderlands and DMC kind of

That's kind of the problem this year. Everything notable do far is either a disappointment, a rehash, something I would have no interest in, or I already bought. Type 0 is probably going to win by default.

I wouldn't want to play a racing sim without a good steering wheel controller and foot pedals, and a good setup to use them. Which of course I don't have any of. I'm not made of money.

i got some force feedback wheel controller awhile back super cheap for some deal from cag. it doesn't have the foot pedals tho, its got the hand pedals behind the right and left sides of the wheel which is pretty weird. most of the time i just use the ps controller, but if i really wanna get immersive i hook it up (i.e. plug in the usb and i think it plugs into outlet too)

Speaking of $20 games.  How is Evil With in?  $19.99 on Amazon now.  I am considering picking that up maybe.

Seems a bit like Alan Wake maybe but more action?  Or is it something totally different?

I loved me some rivals.

Its a long game though, gotta go through a crap load of levels as cop and criminal and a bunch of other random stuff to get the plat.

If the first game took a week, the next one will too from the time they send it. All fast return does is limit the time it takes for them to send the next one due to the game being scanned on the way back. That way it wont take 2 weeks to swap out a game.

Thanks. Will pass then. I know they are different but I had a copy of RE6 for cheap that I watched my nephew play for about 30 mins. I never felt motivated to play it myself.
Re 6 and RE 5 are completely different games fyi... basing it off a horrible game may not be what you want. I would ask Vig or Velo as they both liked the game and got the Plat for them.
