My 100% Hard run for Axiom Verge is done--the final boss was crazy-hard despite having every upgrade. Now I just have to do a Speedrun Mode + Under 4 Hours +

John Dies at the End was legit one of the weirdest movies I've ever seen. Super entertaining though. Gonna have to check out the book and the sequel later.

I really wish they could have adapted the book sequel (far better than the first), but a few of the liberties they took in adapting John Dies At the End imply that that's not happening.

Yeah, it was pretty damn weird and pretty damn fun. I've not read the books so also can't compare them. That's usually better anyway, with how book to movie adaptations tend to turn out.

 
I think I might actually go with the $25 check for the vita...bundles suck because i own most and currently have about 80 in my psn account. Guessing it will take at least 17 years to get the check but it will be a nice surprise when it randomly shows up.

The MLB 15 servers are running so shitty the last couple days. How the hell am I supposed to buy cards low and flip them if I can't connect to the damn marketplace?

I did complete all 38 cards in the Braves collection to unlock the Phil Niekro legend card. I've only spent $2 real money on packs, which didn't give me any cards worth shit so I think I'll not do that anymore. Flipping cards is way more fun than opening a pack full of #commons.

I really wish this feature was on the Vita. I got too into buying card packs in Madden 25.

I did finally through out an runner at home from the OF this morning, so there's that I guess.

Zimm... I failed you buddy.  My phone died yesterday and I did not realize it.  I got the following text this morning when I revived it from the dead.

"Lisa has 2 tickets to the final game on Monday.  She wants to sell them for $75 each.  Do you know anyone who might want them?"

She is a UK fan that has had Final Four tickets every year since it was in Atlanta.

No worries man. I want them obviously, but no way in hell I can afford them or actually drive to Indy today. I'm perfectly cool watching the game with my own inexpensive beer in my basement alone.

This was at 12:30pm yesterday so you would have had more travel time. I got another text 4 hours later I also missed that she had sold them.

While this would probably be me and I would also be content it still sounds so sad when you see someone else say it.

Maybe it sounds worse because you have to go to the basement. Thankfully we dont have those in FL due to the water table. I bet guys here get thrown into the garage.

Did everyone with an OG Vita get the vitalegaloffer email?  I am asking because I did, and I definitely shouldn't have.  I am wondering if the one I bought used was bought before then and they sent me the email because I was the last account to use it or something.  I did not own it until October '13.

Not sure I am comfortable filling out that form.

Yeah it does kinda sound sad when I read it to myself.

But whatevs. I have my stress baseball and can jump around silently and high hive the air like Andrew Bogut and drink all my beer and take weird selfies of myself when the Badgers win. Hard to do that at a bar or stadium.

I like this mode better than Madden because there are no game contracts on each card. Once you get their card, it doesn't have a set number of games before it expires. It's yours forever unless you sell it.

If you play the mode online, I could see this being a problem in the future because at some point nearly everyone that has played for a while will have super power teams. That doesn't bother me since I'm more into collecting the cards than playing against people with my team.

I think the only reason I am not going through a divorce like you is because I have a basement that I get to escape to. I love my basement. Full disclosure, it is finished.

Nice. I much prefer the no contract route of the cards. That always bugged me about Madden and NHL how you pretty much had to pay something to keep those contracts of your good players going. And yeah I was more about the cards too then the playing online part.

And I even realize that most people have finished basements now especially if they are retreating to it. But it still sounds sadder because the term basement conjures images of cob webs, gigantic spiders like those in Arachnaphobia and the bones of people that were murdered by the guy that lived next door to Tom Hanks in The Burbs.

Ditto on the only reason I'm not actually divorced and ditto on the escape and ditto on the finished. The basement is pretty much my studio apartment now. Not the best place to sleep though.

So how are you liking Origins? I didn't like City as much as Asylum. Mainly because of the excessive collectibles and the open world had that annoying barrier through the middle of the bottom of the map so that if you wanted to go to the other side of the bottom of the map you had to go all the way around.

Can't decide whether to pull the trigger on Origins UE and/or Blackgate Deluxe.

Mine has a 55" HDTV, all my consoles, surround sound, recessed can lighting, fireplace, bead board wainscoting, 2 super comfy couches, and half bath. It is the nicest area in my house.

Full disclosure, there might be some cobwebs on the tread mill in the back that I never use.

 
I'd like to have one so I could get more pinball machines, but no finished basement here. The ceiling isn't high enough down there to make it a livable space, not to mention that pinball machines wouldn't fit.

 
I'm just curious how long some of you have been married. I want to know how long until I get to that "My wife and I can't stand each other so I need to hide in the basement" stage.
 
We've been married for 14 years and almost 10 months. I don't feel the need to hide in a basement, but I would like a place to put more pinball machines.

Since Sept '98.

It isn't just a place to hide from my wife. I have 4 people in my house now. That is much much different from it just being you and your wife. Sometimes you just want to be able to do your own thing.

 
Played some Puyo Puyo Tetris online with a friend last night that got the game too, so the online does work even though I never see anyone online when I just randomly check. Got a few trophies too. I'm sure I'd have better odds of finding (Japanese) randoms if I tried in the morning, though. The online worked great. No lag or anything like that that I could see. We were pretty evenly matched.

At one point I must have accidentally changed some setting as Puyos were popping when only 2 of the same color touched. That was weird. Backed out and started the room again and that went away.

By the last 2 or 3 rooms the puzzles were starting to drag though as they became fairly obtuse / convoluted in the "how the fuck would I ever have figured that out ?" way. There was also kind of a lull in the last 15% of the game or so where you had already figured out most of the story developments in the other timelines and you were going through the motions to progress and didn't get any new plot until the end of the game.

Not too bad. I'm not too far in, but I'm enjoying it as much as I enjoyed City I think. There is a fast travel option, which is nice because the map is just as big. Lots of side quests distracting me from the main story and collectables are everywhere again, though I think may be less than City. As I stated yesterday, I kind of suck at the combat part, but it feels the same as the other games. Doing some of the case solving is kind of fun even if it's simple.

Basically if you liked either of the other two Batman games, you should give this a shot for the cheap price it's at now. Not world changing and not super long if you just play the story, but you'll have plenty to do if you stray some and it's still fucking Batman.
