Killing Floor 2 will be $30 on Steam.

So hoping for $40 max on PS4.

I'll be interested what they did to change the perks (classes) system. Looks like there will be some more co-op friendly things added other than the usual added damage and discounts for in class weapons.

Most of today's Yankee fans are fair weather fans. Came along in 1996 or so. They weren't fans in the late 1980s when the Yankees (almost all the 80s actually) were crap. Now 80% of the 'fans' at games are getting tickets from their job. They show up late and leave early and spend half the time they are there not in their seats watching the games. Screw the corporate fans.

Before the Devil Rays got good there were more Yankee fans at their home games. Frequently referred to as Yankee stadium South.

Nice to see them not sell off all their talent after a good year like the Marlins seem to do.

I would so do this. No way would my wife give up some of those channels we would lose. And fuck telephone service. 3/4 of the calls are assholes I don't want to talk to anyway.

Yeah, then it became Boston south when the Sox got good. And even when the Rays were (I dont think they will be good this year) good tons of Boston and NY fans went to the games since they all live here already. You just see more of them when their team is having a good year.

Otherwise the stadium is empty because its baseball (which is boring), the stadium is so blah and in a horrible location away from where everyone lives. They will be moving the team in the next two years if Tampa cant come to an agreement with St Pete to relocate them on this side of the bay in a new stadium.

Wow. Didn't realize it was 17 years ago. It still seems like a recent thing to me because I remember their first year in the NL, but their AL days also seems like forever ago. So basically I'm confused. But we all knew that.

Also, any team from Wisconsin and any team from Illinois (and Minnesota for that matter) will naturally have a good rivalry because we all hate each other (except for you Derek, you're cool).

7 players leaving Kentucky. I fucking HATE the Harrison twins and will be glad to see them gone, but they're morons for entering the draft early. They're marginal pro prospects at best, and they could stay at UK and be gods for the next two years.

 
I just looked at adding TV and even the local channels only plan adds to the cost per month significantly, especially starting in month 17. Plus they have some additional fees if you add TV that it doesn't show for non-TV packages, so I'm guessing it costs even more than it appears to. I'm staying pay TV free. But when our finances are in better shape I might give HBO Now a try.

And I want to hire somebody to look at our antenna. We use to get over-the-air TV better than we do now. The antenna is old so I figure either it's become disconnected and can be fixed or we need a new antenna. I'm too scared to climb up on the roof and check myself.

Yeah, We just have Internet right now through Time Warner. 15 MBPS for $35 a month which is decent, though I plan to upgrade once I know if we are staying at our apartment another year or not.
 
So Gamefly isn't winning me over with this $1 enticement sub. Took a week to ship me a game, four mail days later I haven't gotten it from two states away and they're asking if I got it Tuesday, Wednesday, or today.

I just wish the web site worked for me. I can't login and changing my password only seemed to work temporarily. Locked out again. Their loss.

It actually seems willing to let me create a new account with a different email address and get a 30 day trial for free, but not sure I'm going to bother.

Thread bitching worked. Finally figured out what is going on with the gamefly account. It seems that passwords are limited to 6 to 12 characters even though it lets you enter more than 12 characters when you set it. That is hilariously stupid.

Alas, the $1 renewal is gone. Maybe I'll try it when they offer that again.

I hope they make you build that Lego Dimensions portal.

But $100 is a steep price to get started. That Lego premium might hurt their sales, especially being late to the party. Probably be some good Black Friday sales.

The box lists a number of pieces, so yes you build it. It wouldn't be legos if you didn't. What's less clear is if you build the figures, or if they are like Skylanders.

They don't seem so bad until you see what the turn around times are for Netflix discs. Then you realize how much money you're wasting each month during transit.

They can not send their discs in those same mailers that get sped through the mail system. The savings of flimsy protection and shipping on those works fine for low cost movie media. When you are dealing with $60 games they have to take more precautions which does mean slower shipping for sure. Gamefly even sued the USPS and won apparently proving that Netflix was getting preferential treatment so that possibly accounts for part of it too.

I skipped Advance Warfare. The original Black Ops was my favorite. If BB does a $10 certs I will probably at least give it a try. I played each release less and less then the one before it. Got way burnt out on it.

My kid got an invite into the Planetside 2 (confusingly going by the mnemonic PS2) beta and played it yesterday. It didn't look like much to me, but he seemed to like it. Maybe I'll try it or maybe not.

Yeah, I saw that. I'm just not much of a FPS guy, but I suppose I could try it. I guess if we can figure out a time we could try it and maybe there could be a peanut gallery in the party as we stream it, making fun of me as I try to shoot anything before dying instantaneously over and over. Munky and his clicky-clacky buttons need not apply.
