Everyhing is just numbers except interstates. I'm gonna take 99 instead of I-5. I think the white signs are interstates too (ex 66, 101) but I still call em the number.

I saw this on reddit and man, this is some A+++ parenting.

The school kids dressed up as historical figures last week. Some were more committed than others.

So that wolfenstein old blood game is coming out tomorrow.

20 bucks.

I will wait for it to go on sale but thought the last one was really good.

Didn't mean to single you out there. I expected most people from out west to say it that way. I did not think it was mainly limited to the So Cal area. I just find those things really interesting. Understanding them helps you to not be so confused when you travel to a new area.
Oh I don't care. I think it's interesting that very few people say it the way I do. Even some in the So Cal area don't say it that way.

Usually when I travel, the only thing people mention to me is how awesome it is that I'm from California.

Smart As Vita hit $2.24 at my Target today, picked it up. Also did that Just Dance flip since GS is literally right next door. Can't pass up double my investment for literally less than 5 minutes worth of work.

Does anybody in California NOT call it "the 101" or "the 405"? When I lived there, I always said "the," but never have anywhere else.

I'd always use it properly in a sentence, too, like, "fuck the fucking 101 I fucking hate this fucking commute."

Best thing about my commute was at rush hour KROQ would always play this:

I think they did one on the 40th anniversary episode and it was probably the worst sketch on the show. The audience wasn't even feeling it and it just kept going on and on and on.
Yeah all of those sketches go on way too long and aren't very funny except for when the actors break, which is in most of them. But they've been on forever mocking the highway directions and "the 509 to the 18..."

^That post made zero sense.

I wish Rocket League was out. Is it only releasing on PS4? Any concrete details on it, Tyler? Too lazy to research.

I like it quite a bit, each level starts out with 3 difficulty levels to choose from so if you have trouble with a level you can downgrade to easy in order to move on to the next event. On lower difficulty levels you don't even need 1st place to win the events. You'll get 1-3 stars depending on which difficulty level you finish the level on which adds to your star total. Periodically you will hit a star gate and you will have to have that number in order to progress so you'll need to beat every level on medium and a couple on hard in order to unlock the last star gate at the end of the 5th cup to finish the main game and unlock the hidden cup. But up until the very last gate you can get by doing half the events on medium or all the events on easy and still be able to keep progressing.

It is very much in vein of Diddy Kong racing, you drive your Kart and occasionally (and usually organically) you'll hit a transform gate and you'll transform to a boat or a plane for a leg of the race. For instance, the Afterburner level is 2 large aircraft carriers in the sea so you'll start driving on the deck of the ship, and drop into the water and eventually take flight. The levels are all pretty inventive and make good use of the Sega characters and properties. There are some strange character inclusions though like Danica Patrik.

There are also events other than just straight racing to break up the sameness such as flying only levels where you have to keep your speed up and fly through a series of rings, Drift challenge where you have to drift along a pre-defined path to increase time remaining, and levels where you have to pursue and destroy a tank.

There are your standard mix of weapons which are all pretty useful like a catchers mitt that when activated protects your rear from attack, ice shots (which momentarily stun) and rockets (which cause them to spin out) that are green shell equivalents, the explosive RC drone which is your red shell equivalent, blowfish are your mines, etc.
Thanks Guardian!

I'm gonna open this one up next then. You got me pumped for it :)

No beans? Black beans go with anything Mexican. Next thing I'm going to read is "I don't get the red beans and rice at Popeyes." You anti beaners are racists!
Sad but true. I've never liked the texture or taste of beans. Most of the flavors of Mexican food don't appeal to me, although I'm slowly adjusting. I was a strictly no-veggies type of kid and cotinued that even into early adult hood. The no beans thing is stopping me from getting a latina chica at least.

To the wife: j/k. You know I'm only down with the sistas.

Axiom Verge is pretty good so far. I really hope there is a fast travel mechanic.
There kind of is in that there's an area (shaped like a horizontal corridor and located in the middle of the map) that functions as a transit system between all of the areas, but otherwise there isn't.

So Age of Ultron was awesome. Not perfect, but lots of fun. Anyone been keeping up with Agents of Shield? I didn't think that last week's episode (the one meant to lead into Ultron) made sense with the start of the movie.
