The final boss is clearly a "we're going to spam you with enemies, you have to survive the onslaught" thing. There's no tips here other than get stronger via upgrades. I killed that blinky blue thing on the ceiling twice, but I guess you have to do it 4 times. No way that is doable in my current state.

dang, you make me glad i went through and got all that before i even attempted the final boss. he's cake when you have everything and use the fire gun

 
Found a cheap trick on Youtube that may have caused muscle damage to my forearm with how fast/often I had to smash the square button.  I didn't feel like going back for upgrades because I'll do that on my hard run.

I can't believe they actually renewed Galavant with those ratings, I'm happy, because I enjoyed it, it's just really surprising. Agents of Shield and Agent Carter were renewed too.

As expected CHUD 2 was awful, worse than I could possibly have anticipated. It was actually goofier than Return of the Living Dead 2, and I didn't think that was possible. It's like they took a zombie "comedy" and changed 10 words in the script to turn it into a CHUD film because the monsters aren't anything like those from the first movie.

 
I don't know if I'm going to write a full review on Axiom Verge, but the game is just great. So many weapons and upgrades and new mechanics all implemented well and fun to use. Looks amazing, with the colors of the areas constantly changing and never getting boring. Great music.

One minor complaint about the game is that there can be times where it doesn't remind you where to go, relying on you to remember a specific obstacle from earlier in the game that you may not have seen for a couple of hours. This is compounded a bit by a lack of a true fast-travel system, which makes the game feel a bit padded as you have to cross the world back and forth a few times. Post game exploration could also no doubt be helped by a fast travel system, no reason they couldn't have thrown it in during the final third of the game.

4.5 Diamonds. Better than Metroid.

I'm really glad you liked it; I guess you weren't as bothered by the main character's artwork?

Gator I don't know how you have the patience to get all these gat out of hell weapon challenges. I'm about to give up cuz it is so grindy.

 I'm ready to start up some motor mayhem. split/second, blur, some need for speeds, sonic racing, good stuff. I'v got one of those force feedback steering wheels from forever ago but I have no idea where the plug in cord is... hmmm

re rev 2 kind of sucks. Granted I've only finished the first chapter. Raid mode is pretty sweet though, looking forward to more of that as Wesker.

Have any of you guys that have played it tried the countdown or invisible modes? Do they suck?
 
My buddies asked about going to lunch today so I mentioned that I saw a tweet from The Penthouse Club for free lunch.  They took me semi serious and both said that people tell them their food their is excellent.  Sorry but I just cant fathom eating where naked chicks are rubbing themselves all over a bunch of dudes.

Still slowly working my way through rogue, and gotta say its actually one of the better AC games. Wish it was next gen, but it still looks and plays pretty well on the ps3.

Yeah, those are the worst. I like most beans, including butter beans which look similar, but Lima beans just taste awful.

This is actually a really good and really easy recipe for chili for those who like beans.

I use ground turkey instead of beef, skip the seasoned salt completely, and get the hot version of Rotel and chili beans personally. I have never bothered making those crayon cakes. Be careful with the shopping list since stuff for that is included.

I still don't love the actual main character design, but a lot of the enemy character design is pretty good. The games visuals really pop in real life, on Twitch the decompression seemed to subdue them. But the game looks so much better in person.

Yeah I liked it more than Super Metroid. But I don't hold any nostalgia for that game, I played it for the first time about a year ago. Obviously Axiom Verge probably wouldn't exist with out Metroid and Super Metroid, but I think it does enough to outshine those games.

 
I did much better at pinball league last night.  Got a 3rd and 4th place score, but placed dead last in fucking Fish Tales and it's stupid easy drains.  Having beer this time helped I'm sure.  Currently rank 14 out of 19, but lowest week gets dropped so that will help.

Fish Tales is a challenging game. I've always loved it, though. Super Jackpots in it are sooooo satisfying, especially when you get several in quick succession: Super…Sup…Super Jackpot!

 
This is me during Metroid:

"Wow I got a freeze gun. Now what?"

"Ok I got some missiles and can open a door. :eek:pens doors to dead end: Now what?"

"Woohoo Justin Bailey gave me a playable chick with a wave gun. Now what?"

"This is a cool environment. :15 minutes later:  I've been here before. : 5 minutes later: Where am I suppose to go? :5 minutes of repetitive stages later: "Screw this" :turns off game: 

I wish it had a map (like the much better Super Metroid) so I know what I'm doing and where I'm going. The best I've done in a run was find and defeat one boss.

I don't even remember how I got there and if that enemy was the first one I was suppose to beat.
