I already own Most Wanted on Vita (Sony Slap(tm)), so I guess I'll get Mirror's Edge (I'll have to sell my physical copy) and PvZ: GW.

Old FF7 graphics and gameplay is going to be tough. I tried playing the ps1 classic a few years ago. I could not tell where the fuck I was going and it was solo slow and ugly. Gave up quickly.

LOL, yeah dude we were just talking about that here the other day. It hasn't aged well (graphically). My friend let me borrow the PS1 disc and I couldn't do it. Hopefully this version is easier on the eyes even if it isn't a remaster. I just need to see what the story is like and why people love this series so much. I've only played FFXIII lol.

I am very concerned about that "Materia Overlord" one. :???:
This is a huge pain in the ass to do. I remember grinding this many years ago, and it took quite some time. Though, I'm sure somebody has found a faster way by now.

Plus, FFVII has aged terribly, so I don't know if I have the energy to grind this.

everyone just needs to let go of ff7. They're never going to clean it up for the 21st century. and seriously, it looks like ass and plays so slow.

The worst part will be the 30-45 minute unskippable cutscenes.

So it's one free game from EA for the PS3, PS4, and Vita? Just want to be sure both versions of Garden Warfare or NFS aren't free.

I like JRPG's sometimes, but I just don't have the time to invest in something like that anymore, unless I really love the game
Yeah, I've had the PS1 edition of it as well as Wild Arms and maybe a few others on my Vita for over a year now and haven't touched them.

I'd like to play them, but there's no trophies, save points are a pain, and they just feel so dated at times.

Well, they are dated, so yea, they will feel dated. The PSOne era was mindblowing for those that were into gaming back then because there were a lot of leaps made in how we perceive and play games. But they just don't hold up well unless you have fond memories of them. If you do though, then you shouldn't have too much of a problem going back to them. I can't imagine trying if you don't though.

So SF5 is PS4 and PC exclusive but allows cross platform play?  That's neato burrito.  And I'm cool with the USF4 port to PS4 too, I know I'll buy it because I am a total moron.

Boom, Tales of Hearts: R plat!  Pete, the balloon game gets much easier endgame when you can do it with essentially unlimited TC, but you're still going to hate it.  Not quite chocobo racing bad, but still a little frustrating.

Beating the boss on Unknown was cake.  Thought it would be harder.

I had a ton of fun with this game.  I spent a lot of time unlocking all the skits, doing all sidequests, etc. even though they weren't needed for the plat, just because the skits were so good.  Really liked this cast of characters.

Awesome. I can't wait to start it after platting Danganronpa 2.

I thought the conference was great.  Way more new game announcements then I expected (was expecting mostly just new trailers for already known games).  Too bad all that Street Fighter stuff leaked otherwise that would have been a pretty big bombshell too.

Shovel Knight and Super Time Force Ultra alone are enough to make the whole conference for me.    Basically the 2 best console indies that weren't on Sony consoles and now they will be.

GAF seems kind of hot-and-cold over it.  I still contend that SonyGAF is totally over.

Guess I need to get on the series, then. Planning to emulate 1+2 since the HD version never came over. I already have 4 and DS, with 3 coming as an xmas present.  :D/

I'm fighting the final mainline boss right now [customspoiler=spoilt]creed's 2nd form in his spira[/customspoiler] and getting smacked all over the place. Going back to the save before the first form and going to muck about with my lineup and gear and see if I can fare a little better. Currently he's going in to that overdrive state three times and by the third time I'm just out of gas (and items). I'm in the early 70s levelwise, maybe grinding for a bit would help too?

agreed on the story/characters though - it's really surprisingly good for the genre. the translation is pretty funny (mostly intentionally) and fun.

They wouldn't make much of a difference for me since mine doesn't sit out in the open.

I thought the conference is great. A lot of surprises, especially on the indie side. Glad to see the vita love and lots of classic games I've missed becoming available. And some pretty cool AAA stuff to top it all off.

But mostly, NO MAN'S SKY! I cannot wait for No Man's Sky

You may not want to do this yet, but if worse comes to worst you can use an All-Divide and basically gimp his attacks. That's how I beat him on Unknown with no issues. I can't remember how I beat him the first time through, but on Unknown I used Kor (controlled him) and Chalcedony (boss is weak to light), then Hisui and Kohaku for healing. For Kor you can spam Beast and Streaking Comet (or just Streaking Comet, it's OP) and boss has a hard time hitting you and you can usually cross him pretty easily. I also had an accessory that kept me from getting stunned but you might not get that until NG+.

did I get one?
