Yeah, just the PS1 version by the looks of it. The PSP release of the first two games seemed nice and added some extras like movie viewers and widescreen, but Konami being Konami they added some new bugs too (and those games have a couple bugs and translation errors as is) and the widescreen is a bit tacked on and shows too much since the game was never designed for it (it's not just stretched out). And they didn't even seem to bother to add the couple new things that were added to the Saturn version of the first game like the arena.

It would be great to have a big compilation release of the series (especially since the save games from the first two games can be used in the third game if only as a very minor extra when it carries over the names you picked). Hopefully with some bug fixes thrown in.

IV suffers from a few different things: 4 instead of 6 in your active party, limiting how often you can use the large roster, the ship is painfully slow even when you realize the run button will make it go faster and you end up in a ton of random battles, and I think the setting is so far removed from the rest of the series (100+ years earlier?) that you miss out on a lot of the cameos and easter eggs mentioning previous games that make the series so fun. Plus, while I don't hate the story as much as some, it's definitely the weakest of the main series.

V is awesome, though. Just about everything you could want in a Suikoden game.

news from ps experience was pretty good. glad they decided to show a little vita love. hopefully they ramp it up more. got excited when yanks mentioned trophies on suikoden, though we were finally gonna hear something about trophy patching for older games. honestly, that's probably the only vita support they need.

I'm still curious about the lack of a PS1 emulator on the PS4. I can't see Square putting out the effort of porting the PC version to PS4 if Sony was about to release a PS1 emulator. So why the hell aren't they doing it?  :whistle2:k

I don't think there are any rare ones at this point. Some might be a little harder to find than others right now just based on popularity and because it's getting close to Christmas, but you should probably just grab which ever one you prefer. Baymax and Hiro might be affected a little more with the movie being in theaters right now.
 
Hey Topside, have you played the Spiderman or GotG playsets in Disney Infinity 2.0?  I'm considering playing some, but I don't know which set to start on.

We've got both of them but he won't know it until Christmas morning.

I've heard that Avengers and Spider-Man are very similar since they're both in the city, so if you want a little variety I'd go with GotG.

Tim Schafer seems like a pretty cool guy to me, and pretty damn funny. And Costume Quest was great. Speaking of which, I need to play Costume Quest 2 yet. Yes, I haven't gotten to it. One of my kids finished it, though.

Ewww, randomly generated, I don't know how I feel about that. There is something to be said for hand-crafted, perfectly balanced levels. Procedurally generated lets bad luck of the RNG enter the equation.

 
endergeek - Have you ever considered playing the Danganronpa series? They strike me as a combination of Phoenix Wright and Zero Escape (999), and since you've said you really enjoy both of those...

I'm keeping my eye out for a copy of the first on the cheap. Might use one of my b2g1 coupons at gs to pick it up actually. It seems like it would be right up my alley from what I've seen, And I saw that you were enjoying it. We tend to like similar games
 
For anyone that's playing Infinity 2.0 on PS4, I've uploaded a toy box that lets you level up your characters while you're afk. All you need to do is activate the teleporter and rubberband you're controller so it doesn't shut off. It's not that hard to set up but it takes a little time to put it together and make the connections so just download mine to save yourself some time. You'll also end up making a lot of money doing this to buy stuff from the toy store.

Of course, whether or not you want to utilize something like this will probably depend a lot on how many statues you have. We've got a shit ton so there's no way we're leveling all of them up the old-fashion way.

(While I was setting it up my son was throwing all kinds of crap in there, just in case you're wondering what the hell is going on when you load it up.)

Yakuza 4 does the same thing. I'll definitely play 3, but yeah am considering skipping the first two. Hard to say. The first three games all focus on a single character and the story runs through all of them, so it's not like playing the games is irrelevant to the story of the later iterations. :whistle2:k

Are those toy box worlds not cross platform comparable? I just assumed they were. But I could also be a gigantic dumbass. Well I am, but just regarding this.
 
Just arrived at A Night Under No Man's Sky. Turns out it's a concert. I'm so tired. Wish they didn't remove the seats from the opening speech. I did get the Ace of Diamonds card here.

I got to play Bloodborne. Pretty cool. They definitely made the game more fluid/welcoming to noobs like myself. There's no blocking. If you get hit you have a short time frame to attack/kill the enemy and the damage won't count against you.

Also tried Until Dawn. At the beginning of the demo it asks you three questions. One was if you were afraid of the dark or creepy crawlers. Another was if you were afraid of syringes or suffocation. I forgot the last. It looks like it slightly modifies the game. I played the same demo as during the conference. The demoer must have chosen syringes because I believe the girl was injected. In mine I chose suffocation so the guy carried some oxygen tank and suffocated or poisoned me.

It also had a longer opening. The girl is bathing and listening to music via earbuds when the psycho shows up and the candles go out in the bathroom when he shuts the door. She gets out and her clothes were burned or something so that's why she's in the towel running around. Basically she's in a cabin, her friends are gone and the power is out and then it leads into what the demo was earlier.

I played a little Disney Infinity 2. Got a Groot figure and a Marvel power disc. It was just free play so pretty boring. But they had a ton of discs and figures to play with if you wanted to experiment. I didn't.

There was this game called Relativity that was basically a MC Esther puzzle. You could switch which walls you walk on and had to place colored boxes on slots to open doors. Sort of looked like Anti-Chamber. Not bad.

And I played some LBP3. It seemed like a mini-game. There were 6 copies of my character and I had to try to keep them all alive throughout the entire obstacle course. Only I survived lol. fuck those clones.

I actually started to type it up that way because that's what I thought too, but then I started to second guess myself so I changed it just in case I was wrong.
 
I went to the TellTale Games panel and someone spoiled the end of The Walking Dead season 1. Sucks for anyone who didn't play it yet. A few people cried out about the spoiler but it was too late. Nothing too exciting but interesting to hear their process. Someone asked if they would like to adapt The Sopranos or The Wire and they refused to answer since they said they have a multi-year deal with HBO and basically they're keeping all options open.

The other day Sony had a pre-screening of that new Seth Roger and James Franco movie The Interview for tonight but they must have canceled it. Lame. Oh well. Gonna listen to this concert then grab some food and probably head back to the hotel. Gotta rest for my birthday tomorrow :) #supersubtle

Yeah MMA is unkind to most guys without skill and technique. I remember the hype on espn for weeks about Kimbo Slice, then he went out and got pummeled by some nobody from the UK with one of the worst cauliflower ears I have ever seen.

Talks a ton of shit about a company run by a guy who treats employees like crap to join....UFC.

He probably won't go back to wrestling for health reasons (if he's smart) and he probably shouldn't be trying to enter a sport where the other guy is deliberately trying to do you harm for those same reasons.

PS: To be fair, I'm sure just about every bad thing said about the McMahons is true. Not meaning to give him a hard time about that. It should serve as a lesson to kids to run away from dreams of becoming a professional wrestler if you value your life.

I've been playing Isaac whenever we've had downtime and I beat Mother again and then noticed a strange side door. I entered it with a ton of hearts and had to fight all these bosses in boss rush mode. Trophy unlocked. Too bad they only left me with a couple hearts and I died in the Womb. Still fun.

And I forgot to say earlier that we should totally play some PVZGW on PS4 this coming week. So glad we're getting it free. Gonna purchase my 3 free games on the website.

Cool that I got to run the raid with those Unit dudes. Not cool that we had to do with with some dude who was drunk and high off his fucking ass, died within a minute of each checkpoint revive, fell asleep halway through, and had to have his girlfriend finish for him.
