Around 6pm or 7pm Eastern, but we should hear Microsoft tooting their own horn here in the next hour or so.

There's no way Sony is winning again. Only question left is how bad they lost. Not sure if we'll get those numbers though since as far as I know the NeoGAF leakers are still gone.

Yeah no shock there. He doesn't really have the patience for a lot of the stupidity that goes on here. Not really sure why he ever bothered to visit in the first place.

It's really hard to advise students against things that they want to do, especially when they're like 19 and getting to make a lot of their own choices for the first time. Who the hell wants to give a reality check to an excited-for-life 19 year old?

 
I don't pay attention to Pharm enough to know that scrutinizing the English language is "his thing".  Probably because it's a fucking stupid "thing" to have and is what makes a lot of his posts so unbearable.

Semantics like that are literally the dumbest thing ever.  It's what stupid people fall back on when they don't have anything substantial to add.

I had 2400 or so. Was tempted to just get the $10 card and maybe digital version of Metal Gear Raiden. Figured that might be going on sale or hopefully on plus eventually.

Decided just to with the $20 card. There's numerous RPGs I'd like to get for Vita. (I'm done with Persona 4. I really could care less how it ends or who the killer is at this point.)

Nobody should want to, but the parents should be doing it. My biggest fights with my wife are about our kids and her wanting to make them happy all the time. I want them to be happy too, but they NEED to be prepared for the real world and those two things so rarely have the same steps. Ideally, everyone would know what they want to do for a career and then choose based on that what path to take.

 
We are talking about the guy who still can't figure out which form of your/you're to use right? I don't get how anyone could think Pharm gives a shit about correctly using the English language

Yup it really should fall on the parents and not academic advisers. My mom actually did a lot to talk me out of journalism. But there are a whole lot of students out there whose parents really don't give a shit what they do, unfortunately.

I took it a decade ago so I cant be too sure but I dont remember studying much and had no trouble. Just like any test its only as hard as you are dumb.

That is some pretty great English right there if I do say so myself.

Not really, it has had individual good episodes but as a whole the season arc is pretty directionless so far. I don't know if the events of the mid-season finale will finally give it direction or if they are just stuck with an off year since Season 2 ended so definitively. The best comparison I can think of is Dexter season 5, not bad per se, but was a rebuilding season after the game changing events of S4.

I know for a fact I will lead my kids towards careers and degrees that make sense... not fantasy

Accounting, Engineering, Nursing, Teaching... etc.

Not ones like Journalism, Communications, art, history, literature, English.... all those require multiple extra steps to find good careers, and if you are going to do that you might as well become a doctor or a lawyer.

Well from reading up, the test is actually a High school level test just weeding out the really dumb ones. Mostly high school level math, no Trig or Calculus... and then some writing sections.

 
I figure I should do it, because it might actually get me a degree worth it, work will pay for it, and I can defer my loans while I am back in school (i'll be paying them the rest of my life anyway).

 
I had about 40k in student loans going to a state school for undergrad. Paid them shits off in three years. My master's cost me nothing since work paid for it. Suck it, turds.
 
GRE was not hard at all. I didn't even study and I got a super good score that my school didn't even need because all my other stuff was so awesome. But I'm smarter/better than you guys anyway.
