Yeah I can't usually watch out of order either. But I figure I know enough basic X-men shit that it'll be ok. It was my first time out of the house since the wife's jaw surgery, with her mom over at the house to watch her, and there was nothing else of interest playing, so I bit the bullet and went.
 
Hey, do any of you guys know of any way I might be able to catch a repeat of the uk-unc game from earlier? I've been searching around but so far it looks like I'm shit out of luck.

Yeah this was actually the most active 5 round heavyweight fight I've ever seen. Usually when HW fights go this long it's a huge snore-fest with the guys just clinching and leaning all over each other by round 3.

I usually hope for knockouts in HW fights, especially main events. This was a good fight though. I had JDS winning for sure, I thought Rogan was giving Miocic way too much credit.

Sometimes the regional conference network will show replays of games in the middle of the night. Like the Big Ten network is showing Ohio State, Illinois, & Nebraska games all in a row from Midnight to 4am or whatever. Not sure if you get the SEC or ACC channels, but if you do is check there.

X2 was pretty good. X3 had a lot of problems. I liked First Class quite a bit, too. I'm not big on ensemble stuff in general, so X-men hasn't ever really appealed to me. It never feels like there's a main character, which I dislike. The movies are basically about Wolverine for the most part, and though Hugh Jackman does the roll well enough the character is pretty boring and samey in every one of the movies so far. OTOH I think their treatment of Magneto over the course of the movies has been really cool (aside from X3 which they really screwed him up in) and he's by far the most interesting character. He's a big part of why I liked First-Class.

Yeah...It's been so long since X1 and X2 that I don't really remember her well in those, but in X3 onwards I've just felt like she's on the wrong side of the age line to be hot. She's never really been that appealing to me. I'm not sure why since she certainly looked good.

I doubt it, but anyone know of a good namcoin guide for tales of hearts? I've been through the blurb on ps3t and I'm somehow missing two.

was gonna download the dlc, but i think i may skip it. one of the missions is impossible to 100% without a patch, and the game didn't really scratch my tower defense itch either. score challenge mode is kind of cool, being able to increase enemy spawn rate, speed, and health. the levels felt too short though, and most hardly let you put that many towers out. now i'm thinking about grabbing one of the other  td games they have on vita.

Spoilers for X3 (since we have somebody actively watching them):

Magneto and Pro-X both had really bad characterization in X3. It was pretty bizarre. X came off as a bad guy with his body-snatching and the whole thing at the beginning with Grey; he was also pretty hypocritical in trying to suppress a mutant. X has always been more passive than I like (in the movies) but in X3 it felt like he was betraying the cause he was trying to advocate. Magneto felt very inconsistent for the same reason, but also because of the other anti-mutant actions he took in the movie.

Did anybody like Rogue in any of the movies? I'm not sure if it was just a poor version of the character or if I disliked her because Anna Paquin is so terrible.

 
I don't think I'll be platting Tales of Xillia 2. I can feel my mind slipping away as I chip away at some of the ridiculous grinding, and I'm not really having any fun with it now. I'll likely do what I can for a few more trophies then that'll be it. :-({|=

Use the sidequest guide on GameFAQs. One of the super forum nerds wrote it, it's pretty good. Just search for the Namcoin part.

One that's really easy to miss is inside the house of

the old artist dude who Beryl worships who pretends to be blind so he can have an excuse to stop painting since he feels the pressure to keep producing greatness

There are two chests hidden God of War style where you can't see them - you have to go up each side inside the house then come back toward the screen.

You have all of them on the world map already?

Gator, I still need to beat the game and upgrade all the way. any tips? I only played it once but I presume don't get hit and don't waste money on bombs/shields?

also gonna twitch far cry 4. I just started it a few hours ago and just unlocked co op after the first few missions. I'll go online so jump in for some co op if ya have it also. peace n love and hope everyone is great tonight.

 
Barely got around to playing The Wolf Among Us this past week. fucking great game. I knew nothing about the source material but still liked it way more than the Walking Dead.

You can cheese it easily. If you hit options and do save and exit, then when you pick play again you can start back at the level you were on with all the upgrades you had at the start of that level. In general what you said is correct though. Thing is if you die playing legit you have to start all the upgrades over. Also, the shields and bombs are part of the all upgrades. You have to have all the items full for that trophy.

 
Completed all of the trophies for Simpson's Arcade. Not sure if I already mentioned it. Needed some help getting the last one, but it wasn't too hard.

Played a little bit of Saboteur today. It seems my RDX/Bridge Killer glitched when I was trying to blow up a bridge the other day. I didn't have enough explosives to blow it up and got killed as I fled.

Maxed out the ammo and came back to the same bridge but I couldn't do anything. Tried reloading/restarting the game but nothing worked. Looked it up and all of the bridge-related things are glitchy.

I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get all of the achievements (yeah, I know). I looked it up and taking down the bridges aren't necessary for any achievements/trophies. Dodged a bullet with that one.

If you're going to watch my stream, don't come in and act like I suck at games or that you're amazing at them.  Especially if you haven't even played the game I'm playing and you're just talking out of your ass.

 
and now, for a slightly more unpopular opinion:

Been playing Burnout Paradise the last couple nights.  It's fun....but it doesnt have the same magic that Burnout Revenge had to me.  I cant put my finger on it, but something is missing.  Maybe that will change as I get further into Paradise?

 
Sunset Overdrive $35 at Best Buy, less than $30 with GCU.  I don't think the game did so hot.

Similarly, the PS TV is $70 at BB.

Yes, it's hilarious.  The end is kind of rushed it feels like, but they did a great job.

I wish it could have been a 2-part movie, but I'm pretty sure it did awful in theaters.  So if they had gone for the 2 part option we probably never would have got part 2 anyway.

 
I hate to see the douchebags in the PSN trade thread that regularly have a lot of random recent PSN games.  You know they write reviews for some random site (or are former reviewers) who are requesting codes from devs just to resell them.  So scummy.

Yea should have waited on the ps tv. Got when it released for 89 thanks to a 10 dollar coupon through amazon.

Dont get me wrong, got a TON of use out of it with remote play on the ps4, but didnt think the price would drop that fast on it.

Slightly weird game for them Cats. Actually hit the 3 and didnt have a block until like halfway through the second half. Paige kid for unc tried to go off in the second half, hit like 4 3s. Game really came down to turnovers and ft, UK had like 10+ more ft makes than unc.

20% off $80? Because that would be $64. A good price and better than at BB. It would definitely be the cheapest that I can remember for a new one that wasn't from Play-Asia.

If one could somehow price match and apply Cartwheel that would come out to $56. Although, I can't remember the policy of stacking Cartwheel with a PM.

If my math is wrong or I'm forgetting the original MSRP of the PSTV, I apologize. It's probably not the best idea to be doing math in the middle of the night.

Pricing matching DOES stack with Cartwheel, so you should be able to get a PSTV at Target for $56+tax, or $53.20 if you have a Red card for an additional 5% off.

I didn't even know they do BR+DVD combos for shows. Interesting--that implies that sales of at least one of them packaged individually are low enough that they take a loss to do it that way compared to having a single package with both formats.

Finally got around to watching last week's Flash. Good episode--the Barry/Iris interaction helped a lot because that was getting to be a major annoyance. Seeing reverse-Flash was pretty cool as well, and as always Wells is the best character on the show. That actor is really just outshining everybody else. I'm hoping this does well for his career because I've not seen him in much.

 
BTW, Constantine continues to be impressive. They did a fantastic job casting for that role and the show is very well done. Plus the chick that plays Zed is hot as fuck.

Thanks a bunch, you were spot on. Also missed one other city one and now I'm done. Now I'm contemplating doing another quick run to get the plat since it's currently selling used for $40+ and I know I won't pay that down the road.
