Not sure I ever heard of either of them before. Which makes sense since it appears they dont have either in Tampa. Only Zaxby's is anywhere in Florida other than the panhandle.
I just assumed Guthrie's had made it there since I knew they had made it to Gainesville many years ago. Guthrie's started out in Florida in Tallacrappy. Now that I look it up they focused on college towns so it made sense they did not make it to setup shop in Tampa. A location opened here a couple years ago too so I assumed they were branching out all over. Maybe not.

I was told Zaxby's got started due to pissed off Guthrie's employees. They are all over here so I assumed they were the same in other southern metro areas.

I would list Popeyes as the best available fast food chicken in MN.  There's allegedly some Chick Fil A places around here, but I haven't seen one outside of the airport.  I'd probably avoid them anyway because of the whole homophobic owner/Tea Party official fast food thing.

And I really really liked Bojangles when I was down in Charlotte.  The spicy chicken.  The Bo-berry biscuits.  The muthafuckin' Cheerwine.  Damn damn good.  Wish they had them up here.

Not only is Kentucky better than every other team in the country, our fans are also better than any other fans.

Liked, just to unlike. Can't stand Kentucky. Go Duke!

fuck I'm nervous

I have a phone interview for a job.

Last time I had a phone interview I fucked it up tremendously (this was 6years ago or so). Any tips?
Relax and just treat it like a sit down interview. I like to get up and walk around when I've had one, helps me relax a little bit. Good luck.

We've got lots of fast food chicken in TN. Here's some chains not mentioned so far:

Bojangles'

Popeyes

Church's
Kind of like wren, I think these places and KFC are one group. Then places like Chik-Fil-A, Zaxby's, and Guthrie's are another. Like him, I am not exactly sure why I group them like that.

I've never been to Zaxby's or Guthries, but I group them similarly. Chicken pieces vs. Chicken tenders/sandwiches.

At this point, I think I can just sell any non-niche ps2/3 titles, and just wait for the ps4 remasters.

Started setting up my pstv this morning. Was trying to think of what would be a good game to play on it. First game I pull from my folio, borderlands 2. Success

In case you all have trouble wrapping gifts, here's a 12 second technique that should help out:

DMC 4 was awesome. I always wished they were gonna patch in trophies aka uncharted.

Yeah that sure is a trend of giving free game for ps+ and then ps4 upgrade comes out. Sleeping Dogs, Tomb Raider, Awesomenauts, DmC...

I feel like this was already posted here. It may just be because I'm seeing so many people share it on FB.

Still pretty cool, though. I've only got a few gifts to wrap but I'll be trying this approach when I do it.

If only every present was in a box like that I'd be fine wrapping presents. It's the damn kids toys that come in odd shapes and sizes that it becomes a PITA!

While I Liked this, I have an issue with them calling it a "hack".
There is a term on the internet that has become pretty common: life hacks. Usually it is just some way to make any sort of thing easier. Now people are shortening it to just hack. The original term was sketchy enough. Now with the shortened version, it is even more bizarre of a term to use (especially for those of us in computer related jobs).

That Tetris game (3DS version) doesn't have very good reviews. I guess I will try to resist the PS4 version. Or at least I will wait for a good sale.

I love how any time something happens with a computer that someone doesn't like they think they were hacked or have a virus. =P~

This would be fine for 1 or 2 but I'm not going to grab boxes for every damn Skylander or Transformer I get my kid for Christmas.
One big box, many small gifts? I'd do it. I've always taken the laziest approach possible to wrapping presents, though, and don't have kids yet. So maybe that will change in the future.

I would too but the Mrs. says then they don't have as much to open. Kind of makes sense, as a kid it's a thrill to see a ton of shit that Santa brought for you. Even if it's $5 Skylanders.

Who cares if your wrapping looks crummy? Just cover the thing, put a sticker bow on it and call it good. If you're actually incapable of wrapping an object completely in paper a video probably won't help whatever's broke with you.

Soph, how did you manage a 368 day trophy streak? That blows my mind to bits. I'm at 29 currently and feel like a boss. I can't imagine being able to keep it going for a whole year.
Vita means life bro! Having that with me when I've been out of town or busy meant it was never much of a burden to pop some quick trophy for the day. Although there were many times where it would slip my mind until like 11:45pm and I'd lunge for the damn thing in a faux panic, lol.

I would've kept the streak going too if I hadn't botched it this last Thanksgiving. We were only supposed to be at a friends house for the afternoon/early evening but I ended up getting slightly tipsy and had two cats and a dog fall asleep on me next to the fireplace. It was cozy as hell, and I totally lost track of time with the good food, good conversation, and good pet snugglin goin on. By the time we got home it was almost 1am.

I'll admit, when I realized I blew it I was kinda seriously bothered by it, if only because I missed it by like an hour. Sure it was just a frivolous silly thing to try to adhere to but doing anything daily for a year still takes some amount of mindfulness and dedication.

Then the next day I remembered that much like trophies in general, none of that stuff really matters in the grand scheme of things and it can only bother you if you let it. Besides which, we had a really great evening that was pretty much the best Thanksiving in years, and that's way more memorable and worthwhile. :D

The blu-ray of the first season of Fargo is on sale at Target for $20 this week. I know at least Vig expressed interest in checking it out. I PM'd it at Best Buy yesterday and got their exclusive edition that comes with a beanie. I think I'm going to be a total loser and wear it regularly this winter because it fits my apparently enormous head well.

I would be so pissed off/turned on by batman arkham ps4 remasters.
Seriously. We are getting some really random middle-of-the-road remasters for whatever reason. DmC, Metro, Sleeping Dogs, Tomb Raider, etc.

Where are the generation-defining remakes? Uncharted, Batman, Mass Effect, Bioshock? I guess we did get Last of Us and GTAV, but those were so end-of-generation they don't feel as much like remasters.

The Vita games on sale I'm thinking of buying or Lemmings and Magical Beat, but I think I'll end up passing.  Would have probably bought them if they were 60% - 80% off.

Thanks for the heads up. Loved Fargo and I might have to snag it at this price

Uncharted has been brought up by the dev a couple of times. We'll see. I fully expect all the ones you mentioned to get that treatment, though. Keep in mind that we got PS2 remasters all the way through the lifecycle of the PS3. They slowed down after a while, but we got some big ones in the past 2-3 years. Jak & Daxter, Devil May Cry, and Ratchet and Clank were all 2012. We just got one this month with KH 2.5.

Dear Sophro,

You seem like a pretty cool dude and I enjoy your stories and jokes.  But kindly reconsider your trophy card arrangement.  Those background images didn't get created so that only little bits would show through between the 108 trophy icons that populate it.  Don't be ashamed of what you play!  Let that flag fly proudly!

Sincerily,

Getting Bothered by Dum Things Guy

His card's broken.

Seriously though, Kilik's bothers me more than his with that one trophy thing. Just looks weird.
