Cool. I'll sign you up to play broomball with me. Good to have extra subs.
If I ever make it back, and there is a place to play while I am there, I will play as long as you spring for some of those special shoes for me. That or at least an ass pad of some form. I would totally expect to land on my butt a few times trying to play in regular shoes. It does kind of look like fun.

As far as the Twin Cities demographics, I was admittedly there mainly for craft beer. Since the Things White People Like had microbrews on the list, maybe my view was a bit skewed :)

Deal. You don't really need the special shoes. I mean they help a little, but it's still ice. Teams usually are half sponge shoes and half winter boots and half sneakers (#math). Ass pads are essential though.

That's gotta be one of the dumbest pet peeves I've ever heard. If my phone can tell me how cold it is outside why would I want to go out there to check it personally? If I check my phone/tv/computer, then I know how much I need to layer up in order not to freeze my ass off.

I don't understand how someone could be against that, let alone be annoyed that others do it.
Maybe I should have been a little clearer but I meant that constantly check the weather, like read the apps (once is fine), watch the weather channel etc. I mean if I look outside in the morning and there is frost on the ground, I can assume it's cold outside. Instead people like to read an app and complain when the forecast was wrong when common fuck in sense would prevail 100% of the time.

I lived in Anchorage for 19 years. It was cold.

Then I went to northern MN for a year of college. It was even colder. No trees up there and the wind blows right through you.

How the hell did you get the 10 rounds in survival trophy? Gator read a guide on it and we did what it said to hide, but we would get murdered in round 4. Did you play with three other high level players or something? I am only an 11 and he is 39 or something. Last night we said we would play again tonight. Gator made a joke that we would need you to help us and apparently he was right. We are going to let you kill everyone while we sit back and relax.
oh, I was the highest level player in the room, but that doesn't mean much cuz I hadn't played in almost a year, lol. Yeah it was only a party of 3, but yeah, we mostly hung back and only went outside to kill the stragglers and helicopters. I lost $22,000 just cuz I kept getting killed and killing people in the city lobbies. I had $166,000 but I kept dieing and then blew it all on weapons, but just from our 10 rounds I got $18,000 back and moved to level 67. I was mainly just sitting in los santos on a rooftop sniping dudes and doing drive bys but yeah someone called a mugger on me, and i killed him, but no trophy pop. doh. ill help ya whenev ya want. I got a few chores to do today but ill be back on later.

Sitting at the courthouse for jury duty. I wasn't selected for either of the two trials, but I'm being held as an extra just in case. So now I have to sit here for at least 2 more hours.

There's like 2-3 inches of snow plus icy roads in my area.
Yeah. We close or cancel events if there's a weather warning. Low of 34 and chance of rain? Better cancel all meetings.

Snow over night that will melt by the afternoon? Half of the day shift will call in and say they can't drive in.

The schools here cancel super fast. They didn't used to and then one day we got freezing rain and a bunch of kids were trapped at schools until early evening because the roads turned to shit. There just wasn't enough infrastructure to deal with keeping the ice off the roads.

You know it! Just gotta pass the drug test and you're hired!
haha, right out of highschool I went to get a job at a local grocery store. They said I was over qualified to be the night stripper (not as fun as it sounds, basically just the opposite of waxing, where you get this big machine and strip clean the hard floors). They said yeah so you basically have this $12/hour job you just gotta go to the biolab and get your drug test. I said thanks awesome and never walked back in that store again :) (happy ending, I got a much better job managing a dry cleaners for 5 years where I could toke/play vidgames/ fool around and make just as much $)

Surprisingly I actually like the cold weather. I think I have told this story before.

I have only been in really cold weather once when we went to NY. It was 7 degrees with a wind chill of near 0. I didnt have a jacket that I could wear over my suit (funeral ugh) so I was just rocking a regular suit (no long/thermal undies either!) while we walked in and out of buildings in sub freezing temps. My in laws thought I was insane. I didnt think it was that bad for the short periods of time.
I don't mind the cold too much. If you're cold you can always compensate by putting on more layers, but if it's hot and humid you can only strip off so many layers before there's nothing else you can do. Shoveling snow is a fuck ing drag though.

@pete and stotch Level 29 is my last one, besides level 50 which should only take a couple more tries.  Any strategies I should know other than conserving gates? If I miss a golden gate or two in the early levels should I just restart?

Yeah, I found out at 11pm last night that I was to report at 7:30am. And the courthouse is an hour away from my place, assuming traffic isn't bad. And I'm definitely not a morning person, so getting up at 6am is a struggle for me.

But it's completely my dumbass fault for leaving my Vita. If I get told to report again, I'll bring it.

I checked my Gamefly Q and saw this and I was happy it appeared my plan worked.

Then I checked the rental history thinking it would definitely be coming from Tampa only to see this.

Now I seriously doubt I will have it by this weekend.  Sorry guys.

I'd much rather it be freezing than just cold. I find 20s and below to be way more comfortable than 40-50.
I'm like that with broomball weather. Like Saturday it was like 35 so half the rink was solid and the other half was forming puddles with some dirt showing through underneath. I much prefer to play on nights like tomorrow where the high for the day is expected to be -4. That way I have an excuse to wear many many layers for extra padding, since I can't wear real pads besides knee & shin guards.

But outside of that, the warmer the better and fuck cold.

If BB gets them posted and I can nab  one from them, we can find a way to get you my Amazon one Topside.  Even though you're an asshole and I should offer it to one of the nicer forum members.
