Whether or not you like the games is up to you to decide for yourself. People complain about them making sequels, but then they get excited about Uncharted 4, etc. Mario Kart 8 is great. That it is the 8th version of Mario Kart doesn't upset me.

It's alright. A bunch of people here have played it. If you've played LBP before you know what your getting. Too much exposition, floaty platforming, fun colorful levels, and a bunch of stickers and costumes and shit that I'm sure most people never bother with.

Also Mild has said the online gameplay is laggy as fuck. Also their DLC organization is messy as hell and the actual useful DLC with trophies has been delisted, though apparently they're looking into this.

 
By the way if you're doing a holiday "rental" at GS, today is the last day to return those.

I ended up taking back Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus. I'd made it to chapter 10 and just didn't enjoy it. The movement and camera were pretty bad and it just didn't work for me at all as a Vita game. I wanted to like it as I did enjoy the Black version on XBOX, but either the platform or dating just turned me off too much.

Swapped it out for One Piece: Unlimited World Red. That's dropped to $20 new at GS, so it wasn't a bad exchange.

 
Went to Winghouse again today for lunch.  No mayonnaise today, just some wings and beer.

Oh, and bitches dressed in slutty outfits for "civil service" day.  The waitress across from us had the best live ass we have all seen in a long long time.

Then the one guy who isnt married showed us all the chicks he is fucking and I got very very depressed.  And excited since I hope to be free.  One day.

But it's a sequel. It's goofy to me to complain about Nintendo making sequels to their storied franchises, yet not complain about Uncharted 4.

Most video games are derivatives of each other anyway.

Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution had a cool mode that was basically you traveling to different arcades in Japan challenging other players, some of which were based on the actual play styles of top level players. The rest of the AI also did a good job of adjusting to your level of skill and fighting style.

We need more of that. Preferably without needing an additional accessory.

I think Greg Miller put it the best when he said the Vita is an electronics device and the 3DS is a toy. I'd be fine with the "toy" as long as it was more like a DS Lite. Even the DSi XL was better Hardware wise than the 3DS XL. I'm not sure if the new 3DS XL will feel any better but I'm not spending money to find out. I barely play my 3DS as it is. The real shame is that people have said the new smaller 3DS feels more like a DS Lite which is all I really wanted at this point.

I used to be a pretty big Nintendo fan in the Gamecube days and defended them on occasion but then kept getting let down by their weird and baffling decisions. I realize they make all of them based solely on money at this point and nothing else. It's a real shame because the products are really starting to suffer from this way of thinking.

I still don't understand people that say the 3DS lineup is better than Vita's. I've already finished more games on my Vita than my DS Lite and to me that speaks volumes about the library offered up. I thought the DS lineup was amazing but the 3DS one just feels lackluster. It doesn't help when games like New Super Mario Bros. 2 and that Yoshi game just feel and look like more of the same. The real gems so far to me have been Mario 3D Land and Resident Evil Revelations (haven't played the new Zelda yet).

Don't even get me started on the PS Plus stuff along with all your games being tied to 1 system on the 3DS bullshit.

The other thing that drives me nuts is Nintendo refuses to upgrade the screens in their portable system to a resolution that is fitting for 2015. I guess at this point I'm just finishing up the last part of my Nintendo gaming career. fuck you Nintendo!

I've asked before, but if Nintendo bothers you why devote this much thought to them? I don't understand the animus toward a multinational you supposedly have "no interest" in supporting. The few of us here (with the exception of vigilante) who still play their games...hardly bring it up. It's a wonder the topic drives so much discussion. The Vita and 3DS are complementary devices, each with their own unique set of games and baffling design choices.

I could possibly understand taking issue with Nintendo's policies/practices to the extent that others followed. What people buy affects us all and influences market forces. I get it. But has this ever been the case with Nintendo and its competitors? They've always played alone in their wacky world even as Sony and others usurped their hold on the market. So what's there to be upset about or feel threatened by? You are having a perpetual falling out with a company that clearly has no interest in courting your business lol. I'm a little younger than most of you but I still fall in that demographic. So while I play the occasional Nintendo release I'm not buying a lot of their stuff either. Amiibos has to be some of the most uninteresting shit I've seen in a while (along with skylanders etc.). Still, I don't hate them for doing their thing. A single-platform industry (much like it was from the mid-80s to early 90s) sounds dull as fuck but apparently that's what you want.

I've heard the 3rd game is pretty decent. I have V2 on Steam (they gave it away free a while back) but haven't given it a try yet.

There was actually a lot of drama around SE3 on PC. Somebody stole a ton of keys from the publisher and then sold them online. People bought the keys, then the publisher had them revoked from Steam. Everybody's copies just disappeared right out of their libraries. People were pissed as though it wasn't their own fault for buying stolen goods. Fun stuff.

Sorry to go off on a tangent, but what do you mean by that? I still play Nintendo games and I don't think I discuss Nintendo in general all that much (positive or negative) aside from this Direct talk.

Interesting. I've always preferred sniping in shooters (offline-only), so maybe I'll try the Ultimate Edition if it drops to $20 or so.

Check out gameplay videos. It has a bullet cam. You'll follow the bullet as it goes and slams through the skull of the person you headshot from across the map. Looks neat.

Yeah, I know. I was considering playing the standard version on PS4 someday, but I'll just wait for the Ultimate Edition to get cheaper or available at my library (like the original).

Never said sequel, said remakes.

Most of their games are just rehashing the same game they have put out for years.

 
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I can't remember Sony pulling any stunts that piss off or disappoint their customer base. I mean Microsoft had the whole always online mess, and then the Master Chief Collection multiplayer disaster. Now Nintendo is nickel and dining it's customer base (I don't think the amiibo's are honestly worth $13, even though I do have a couple to use on Smash). Not bundling the New 3DS with an adapter is fucking ridiculous, I bet a lot of people are going to be pissed when they buy the console and learn there is no way to charge it. Seriously though Nintendo doesn't give a fuck about most of their fan base, they think everything is okay if they release a new Mario game every year.

I would say the most complaints on Sony are probably, and in no order:

1. No 1st party support of Vita
2. Driveclub debacle (not working and no PS+ edition)
3. PSN consistent troubles
4. PS4 has no games (when you add in so many damn qualifiers)
 
Apparently in the 3DS version of Woah Dave! you can unlock Commander Video by going to the pause menu and entering in "Right-Down-Right-A".  I asked the developer on Twitter if this sweet sweetness is on the Vita too.

yeah, that's exactly what it is. most people didn't realize you just had to delete the previous data, and you were fine.
