Tried to go to Jersey Mikes for lunch for an awesome big kahuna cheese steak, but when I got there they had printer paper signs up with pencil on it that said "closed for construction." Went to subway for a meatball sub instead. When I got back to the office all my cheese had melted onto the paper and not the sub. It is a sad lunch.

Saw this gif on reddit a while ago. Favorite part is the 2nd guy inexplicably going with the lower leg kick as his first move. Instead of ya know, some type of punch.
I like how he knocked one down with a a left and the other with a right. Also who picks a fight and stick a cigarette in their mouth?

I've played 3-4 Mario Karts. The first ones (SNES) had the best battle mode IMO. The other ones I tried just didn't measure up. Though that could easily be due to nostalgia.

SASRT is by far the best kart game I've played. Blew all the MK's I've played out of the water.

The battle mode in Mario Kart 8 is not good. That's the worst thing about it. I wish they'd release some DLC with legit battle arenas.
Yeah, the battle mode in MK8 is awful. Tried it 4 player with the family over the holidays and we finished maybe 2 sets before giving up. Shame too, battle mode on the DS game was a favorite at family functions when we were younger.

Newegg also had them at $45 a couple of weeks before the Target deal.

Too bad Target had that unadvertised. Being able to PM it everywhere would have helped a lot.

From Joystiq: Nintendo addresses lack of non-XL

"Different territories make their own business decisions regarding individual products and timing," a Nintendo of America representative told Kotaku. "We think New Nintendo 3DS XL makes the most sense for our market. Nintendo makes different systems at different price points for a whole range of consumers, and New Nintendo 3DS XL simply expands those choices even further."

"We have nothing to announce at this time," the representative stated when asked specifically about a North American release for non-XL systems.

Sounds like a bunch of nonsensical bullshit.
Choices? You mean I get to choose between 4 different 3DS models, 3 of which are now outdated and might not be able to play a game I want in the future?

It's maddening that "journalists" just regurgitate all the BS that is fed to them by company/political/whatever reps. Probably only a handful of actual journalists left in the world.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I can't remember Sony pulling any stunts that piss off or disappoint their customer base. I mean Microsoft had the whole always online mess, and then the Master Chief Collection multiplayer disaster. Now Nintendo is nickel and dining it's customer base (I don't think the amiibo's are honestly worth $13, even though I do have a couple to use on Smash). Not bundling the New 3DS with an adapter is fucking ridiculous, I bet a lot of people are going to be pissed when they buy the console and learn there is no way to charge it. Seriously though Nintendo doesn't give a fuck about most of their fan base, they think everything is okay if they release a new Mario game every year.

TLDR: Sony is the best company confirmed?
Are we going back as far as the PS3 launch? Because their arrogance pissed off a lot of their PS2 fanbase.

Now would be a good time to get that Million Dollar trophy in Wheel of Fortune.
On the first version, which was download only and didn't have Pat or Vanna, I got it my first time playing. Haven't played the second version yet but I totally expect to.

trophy disabling on used carts
Which games have this issue? Is it related to how some carts (rather than the memory card) contain save data and how you have to erase the data to play the game?
Yeah, I don't know of any games with this problem that can't be solved by first erasing the bubble then re-inserting the cart. Certainly hasn't been anything along the lines of Capcom's non-erasable RE:Mercenaries save file bullshit. Speaking of which, why do so many 3DS games only have one save slot with no way to transfer it over to an SD card or into the cloud to preserve it? (Unless you buy the game from the eshop, I think)

Cause, nintendo.

Does Nintendo even have a cloud? I've never used one with them.

That's the best I can do for now, but I bet there's others. Mostly petty shit really.
For $299 I thought it was a rip off. I waited till just before Black Friday 2013 to get one. I didn't like the expensive memory cards. I ended up getting one for $169 at Best Buy. I had $10 in rewards and some gift cards from PS4 launch games I traded back. I also had a few games from PS+ which I picked up in July 2013 so I could start actually playing it without having to shell out more for games.

It came with an 8GB card which worked well enough for me for about a year. I don't download everything like many here do. I picked up a 16GB card for $24.99 just after Black Friday this year. Since I don't download a ton of games at once the bubble thing was never an issue nor was not being able to use the internal memory when a memory card is inserted. Is it perfect? No. But for under $200 it is pretty good even with some of it's short comings.

Should I get the Silver Headset for $35 from Amazon or hold out for the Golds to be <$40 somewhere?

I'm holding out for bluetooth headset support for the PS4 so I can go wireless with both the PS4 and Vita.

fucking Sony. Money grubbing bastards.

I should have used a more general "a cloud" instead of "the cloud" since there isn't a Nintendo one. Just comparing it to PS+ save upload capability.

yeah, thats where they keep all their money.
With a single bodyguard.

They let themselves get hacked. That upset quite a few people for quite a while.
I almost bailed on them after that. I was using my 360 more already and when I couldn't get online for like 3 weeks I pretty much decided the PS3 was only for exclusives. Live isn't/wasn't perfect but was never down for like 3 weeks either (at least not since I got back into video games). If MS didn't screw up so bad with the launch of the XBox One I probably would have ditched Sony.

Yeah, you can upload save data for most titles via the data app on the 3DS. I used it when I upgraded from a launch 3DS to an XL. Worked perfectly, besides being time consuming tapping upload and download for all the games (though there's really no way around that.) I think it worked for both cart games and eShop games.
