Earlier this week or last I remember posting about wondering why I had such a sudden change in TT score. I only thought that one was bad. I woke up to my chart looking like this.

At least this time, I could see why there was a change. This is not pretty. There must be a ton of ones that are just below that in drops though. I lost around 3k points over night.
A .5% change in your TT score is nothing really. I am kind of surprised you dont see these type of swings more often. I bet it happens a lot when your grinding out games like GTA5. When your grinding to level 100 you arent earning more trophies to offset all those that are dropping as more people earn them.

You have a point, but even when I was grinding out some games (ironically a few on that list that have had drops) my score still seemed to be holding relatively steady. I looked at a few of those games that dropped and it did not appear that anyone recently got those plats. I kind of wonder if they are tweaking their scoring calculations or something.

SR4 with $10 BB GC is still tempting me...
Aren't you getting Dying Light the following week? Do what you want, but I have a feeling SR4 ( :ps4:) will drop to $30 new ($24 w/ GCU) before too long. The fact that you could get the PS3 National Treasure edition for $10-$15 now tells me the PS4 version wouldn't be worth the extra $20 at launch--you'd basically be paying full price for the Gat Out of Hell expansion.

Ya, when you have 300+ platinums only one new person completing half your games can probably shift your score quite a bit, particularly if any of them are rare. I lost like 60 on El Shaddai in just the last 2 days.

i ordered mine yesterday. they already shipped my gift card. i opted for in-store pickup for the game though. post office likes hanging on to my packages, so i'll just go by after work. wouldn't let me store pickup the gift card, but that'll be used for a later release anyway.

You can't buy games on PSN to use with a PS1 or PS2 or PC. So from a standpoint of the companies trying to make money on ancient crap that's 100% profit, yes, that's a bad thing.
I imagine it's not a matter of horsepower for a emulator, it's probably a matter of them having to go back and cut license agreements with EVERYONE again in order to sell their products on a different platform. That's why we still don't have some PS1 games on the vita.

To all you guys who have been playing GTA, is there any interest in me going through the list of platinum medals I used to get to 30 so that you have a more manageable list of ones to go for?   If so, just leave a like and Ill try to get to it today.

This thread on x360achievements that Stotch pointed me to really helped a lot.  The guide on ps3t is garbage really when it comes to this.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/forum/showthread.php?t=545109

In particular, this post shows the ones he found easiest and has a grouping for ones you can get solo or with the help of another person.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/forum/showpost.php?p=6029996&postcount=3

I disagree with a few of his in terms of easiest just because they take so damn long, but in general, the info there is really good.

No, the PS4 has the horsepower for both a PS1 and PS2 emulator without any issues.

I'd hope that Sony didn't limit their licenses to currently-released systems. They should have written those in a way that future systems would also be allowed to play the various games on PSN.

So I shot into the global top 10 on the Bonkers difficulty leaderboard of Woah Dave with my measly $4.18.

Meanwhile, that dick needavacation is ranked 3rd with $7.22

What a jerk... he doesn't post in here but once a month and then he waltzes in here stinking shit up with all his asshattery.

The PS3 to PS4 thing with Destiny would have been a lot more appealing if it had cross-save. It isn't, is it? FYI, my son wants that game at some point, but he has a cousin with a PS3 so he'd want to play there, but he wants to play on PS4 because PS4. Having cross-save would have made that a lot more appealing to him.

Burnout Paradise, Score a x3 Multiplier in Showtime.

Get to a busy road like a highway or downtown with the largest vehicle you have. Get up to speed driving in incoming traffic and then press L1 and R2 at the same time to start Showtime Smash mode. Boost to keep rolling as needed and hit cars to refill your boost gauge. Smashing into buses ups your multiplier by 1 so you just have to locate and hit 2 buses on one run to get the trophy. Shouldn't take any time at all. There is also a trophy for getting X5 multiplier so you might want to stop at 3 and save that trophy for another similar situation like this.
I was actually looking at either that one or the smash 200 gates because I'm pretty sure I'm already at 190ish. I tried to do the online invite this morning but my PS3 is still really borked with my network settings so it won't always connect :(

I'd guess it was the former since you can't play every PSOne Classic on the Vita in the US and Europe did not have that issue with Crash and Spyro as examples. It wouldn't surprise me if it's due to the US's copyright laws being stricter than Europe's.

I bought the digital Guardian edition on PSN. I really haven't played it on my PS3 but a few times but it is cross save. I had intended to play from my PS3 with my nephew but that never happened. He got a PS4 for Christmas and a few games but not Destiny.

Hey heads up you need to get the ghost at the tower where the iron banner stuff is at.

Im bored and was looking at this ghost tracker, saw you didnt have it yet and you can only get it during iron banner, etc where that door is open.

Thanks. I will have to jump on tonight and get that one. We should continue working on that trophy some time soon too.

I need to do like we did on mars with venus and just spend hour or so and get a lot of those. I need 13 for the 50 trophy, venus and earth mostly.

The core of Uncharted 4 will be a third person cover shooter with some platforming sprinkled in.

That's not any different than Uncharted 1's formula.
It's not just that. The big difference for me and why all Nintendo games are starting to feel stale is that Uncharted 4 will be a sequel in the sense that there is a story. Love it or hate it, it progresses the characters and makes it feel like a true sequel. Every Nintendo game has the same basic gameplay with nothing else (no story) to set it apart from the last iteration. There are obvious gameplay standouts that turn the games on their heads like Super Mario Galaxy but after playing Nintendo games since the NES days even this is starting to lose it's appeal. I'm not immediately saying these games are bad, it's just over time they are holding less and less weight for me personally.

I really think once I played The Last Of Us, there was a serious turning point for me where I am now expecting a little bit more from my games. I really like Zelda but the formula is starting to feel dated as well. I know they are focusing on an open world but the lack of voice acting and a true story other than Hyrule and the princess need help feels like I'm constantly playing the same game. Again it doesn't mean I think they are bad games it just means over time it's gotten watered down for me. With all that said, I only ever played some of Majora's Mask on an emulator a long time ago and I do want to play through it on the 3DS. I like the way it mixed things up with masks and characters changing etc.

I realize it could be just my prerogative but all this shit is opinion anyway. I'm not saying any of these games are bad, and if you enjoy them by all means play them.

You can transfer characters from PS4 to PS3 and back again?

This is a well thought out opinion and not at all fan boyish sounding.

GTFO

It is especially easy because you can wait until you get a bus in your sights and then activate showtime so then you only have to hunt down one other bus.

So December numbers in US (apprx.):

X1 - 1.28 mil

PS4 - 1.05 mil

WiiU - 576k

Lifetime numbers in US (apprx.):

PS4 - 6.5 mil

X1 - 6 mil

WiiU - 3.5 mil

I believe the free copies on PS4 are counted as sales too. Not 100% sure, though.
I'd assume they weren't counted in the reporting...otherwise every cross-buy game would have equal sales numbers across the board. Granted rankings would change on a per-system basis, but if cross-buy was treated that way it would really fuck the sales numbers up pretty badly as far as tracking which version people bought.

Yeah, PS1 games look pretty good on Vita generally. I'd never play a PS1 game on my TV/monitor simply because of the low resolution combined with stretching, but for Vita it works well. That people bought so many copies of Spyro and Crash, though, which are not Vita-compatible, indicates that there are plenty who would play those games on a bigger screen.

Or a lot of those numbers could be from when Sony made those games Vita-compatible for a couple of days and then kicked us in the balls, punched us in the stomach, pissed on us when we went down, and then took the games back. fuckers.

Nothing to transfer. You load it up and it shows your characters. I believe all of this is stored on Bungie's servers. Like I said I haven't played the PS3 version much so not sure if there is things that might not work. I did fire it up briefly over Christmas and it seemed to pick my 3 characters just fine. This is for the digital version not the disc one. I don't believe it works the same with the physical disc. Which is why I traded my PS4 disc and bought the Digital version with season pass.

Strange. Everyone else hates the visuals, even on Vita, yet Therm says they look good?! WHAT THE fuck IS GOING ON HERE!?!

Did I step into ass backwards world?

I've also been looking at trophies this morning and discovered that the main reasons I don't 100% a lot of games is multiple playthroughs followed by grinds and a close third is 'hard shit'. This is probably pretty common, but it was fun to see the result. Examples:

God of War 3 - missing Titan mode run (and the challenge thing)
Last of Us - missing ng+/all difficulties over easy
Evil Within - missing speed run, collectible run, akumu run
Resident Evil 4 - been working on the same pro run for like a year in tiny spurts, only on act 2.
Let's Fish - campaign mode 3 more times + grind big fish catches

MK vita - grind mastery trophies
Hatsune Miku - grind songs to finish buying everything
Virtua Tennis 4 - grind online matches

Vanquish - challenge 6
Littlebigplanet - last 3 levels to ace plus coop prize bubbles
Gunslugs - beat hell
Men's Room Mayhem - 20 hand washes in one round

No, the PS4 would have both the free versions from upgrade and the copies bought just on PS4, so the numbers wouldn't be the same. If the game is cross-buy that's one thing, but this isn't exactly cross-buy. It was like a buy one get one free - the free copy still counted as a sale. Again, I think. Otherwise I'm not sure what they were saying.

You need to get on these.

It always boils down to what you enjoy most. I love God of War so I have all those plats. None were very hard at all as far as I am concerned because I enjoyed them so much. I am sure you have a ton of plats or 100% on games I didnt bother with because I just thought they were okay or I hated them.

Grinds kill me. I will not play GTA for 150 hours to get to level 100. But Gator will. He is nucking futs.

I remember trying to play the original Syphon Filter on my PS3.  It was so blocky I couldnt even figure out what was going on.  And I played the shit out of that game when it came out.  It was one of my fav Psone games.  I have no idea how we played those games...
