You could always jump straight to the multiplayer trophies like I did, that involves messing around in a private lobby a bit to level up your car for mods parts so that will help you practice the handling. X can vary based on the car type (go to the mods menu on the car and it will tell you how many miles for that car), for instance expensive sports cars you have to drive 100 miles to get the powershot nitrous but on a muscle car it comes in 10.

Normal Mods in multiplayer

  • Tires:
    Off-Road - Jump 1500 yards with Reinforced Chassis equipped
    Track - Drive X miles
    Reinflates - Drive X miles
  • Nitrous:
    Burn - Free
    Powershot - Drive X miles
  • Chassis:
    Lightweight - Get 60 Near Misses with Short Gears equipped
    Reinforced - Drive X miles
  • Body:
    Aero - Drive X miles
    Impact Protection - Get 10 takedowns with Powershot equipped
  • Transmission:
    Long Gears - Drift 5000 yards with Track Tires equipped
    Short Gears - Drive X miles
When I first did the tutorial race I was weaving and hitting walls all over the place. Also if you are having trouble winning the first tutorial race, then try and wreck the other driver.

I think you should offer a consulting position to owl for this. He's very good at creating complicated formulas for things.

 
That's part of the reason I decided not to pick up the J&D collection on sale with the sequels not being very good. It's one of the same reasons I never pick up the DMC collection when it is on sale because I only really enjoyed DMC3. If they sold them piecemeal for a 1/3rd of the cost I'd probably pick up Jak 1 and DMC 3 again.

I had a PS2 but can't recall a single game I finished on it aside from God of War. These HD trilogies are great for me for the stuff I missed. But yeah, I really just don't understand how terrible the Jak sequels ended up being. They should have just started a new IP if they wanted to change the gameplay and tone that much IMO. I can't at all see how somebody who likes the first game would have enjoyed the second and third.

I also don't understand how they got such high metacritic scores. Jak II got 87 and Jak 3 84. Evn if you're going to score them that high, why would II possibly be better than 3?

I don't think I'm going to pre-order Dying Light unless it has early reviews and they're super positive.

I should not be lazy and pre-order that Batman CE though.

Yeah, if the reviews for DL say it sucks, my preordered copy is being traded right back to Best Buy (or Gamestop if they offer more).

The Arkham Knight LE is probably the only thing I really want to have Best Buy PM thanks to the $10 in points for preordering. I only hope it lasts for a little while longer.

Yeah, I never have any luck with these type of things so I stopped trying. I also wont stoop to yelling at employees who are ultimately doing the right thing. As long as Vig and co dont complain if they get shot down I dont mind them doing it.

Keep trying. One guy in the main forum's thread was able to get a PM in after 4 or 5 attempts. There are a few reps aware of this who are PMing for everyone who asks.

I'm in the same boat, every time I try to get a little leeway out of best buy I get a face full of rejection. Congrats on your fast call though!

What if the reviews are like 30/100 on metacritic but the plat takes 10 hours?

The achievement list is already at Exophase--there's no way the plat will take just 10 hours.

If it had a 30/100 Metacritic average, that would mean it was worse than Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures 2, which would be impressive in its own right.

It can't be that bad (unless it turns out to be a bugged up mess). Looks to me like a bigger Dead Island with parkour.

I happen to one of the people that really enjoyed Dead Island but I only played it in co-op so my opinion is biased in that.

If you are looking for cheap figures Five Below (if you have any near you) had some of the Giants figures (compatible with Swap Force & Trap Team as well) for $5.

 
Cool nugget I noticed this morning, but Chewy's PinBot score (and my not as awesome one), show up on the weekly leaderboards on the iOS Pinball Arcade app as well.  Chewy still rocking #1 for the week for everydamnbody (not just us).  I do like that they can do cross-everydamnthing leaderboards.  

 
Gator, how much more time do you have left in GTA online? I think I've wrapped up the SP trophies with maybe one exception so I wanna knock out some of the MP before trading it at the end of the month. Would love to boost some RP and maybe work towards the platinum medals if you still have that guide handy.
 
MS is having some Windows 10 event and they're expected to talk gaming today. There's some talk that they'll be announcing a Windows port of MCC. That'd be hilarious (and awesome.)

Too much time. I think I hit level 87 last night. Sounds close to 100 doesn't it? I think I still have about 350k RP to get though. I play pretty much every night and usually have a party going. Just join in. I saw you jump into the party and bail pretty much immediately a couple nights ago when we were playing. It isn't a private party :)

EDIT: I did not save that guide, youll need to track down that post. Sorry, not sure what I was thinking there.

Wren, I just looked it up and people are saying that the 30 medals glitches on a lot of people and that you want medal 30 to be in a free roam and not during a mission or a race. I thought mine was in a mission. Maybe I just got lucky.
