LA City Council wants to allow people to own 5 cats instead of 3.

Working on the important stuff.
Nice. No sane person should even WANT to own more than 1 cat let alone 3 or 5!

Really they should restrict cat ownership to 2 preferably. Why do you need more than a couple animals? You dont. If you want more, open a pet shop.

Hopefully someone knows. Didnt want to start a new thread:

Wife put in an application for a car loan but used the wrong amount in regards to our salaries.

How big of a deal is this? Its already approved and wants me to call and have it updated. Wasnt sure if it really mattered.

Probably would've voted TLOU:R, if I'd actually started it again on PS4, but since I didn't, went with Second Son.  Haven't had a chance to play Shadow of Mordor yet, but I'm sure once I do, it will usurp SS.

Wrong as in you put in a figure too low or too high for the salary? I would be much more worried about putting in one that was too high, but I would expect they frown upon either.

I don't understand how anyone can stand remote play PS4+Vita. The Vita missing controls and it using the touchscreen for L2/R2/L3/R3 is impossible to get use to. Even some games that only use either L1 or L2/R1 or R2 seem to mostly use L2/R2 and have no option to switch them.

Now here's my question. When I have tried it I find that the back touch panel doesn't seem to emulate those buttons. Only the front touchscreen does. But I could swear it use to work with the back touch panel. I can't find a setting anywhere to select which it uses. Is it hiding somewhere I haven't found? If I could get it to use the back touch panel it might be more tolerable. Maybe.

I thought maybe my Vita-2000 back touch panel was busted, but I tried Welcome Park to test it and it works fine.

I voted for Infamous Second Son, I played Last of Us on PS3 and am currently playing FC4. I have Shadows of Mordor but haven't started it yet.

I demand that both of you erase your votes and start Shadow of Mordor before voting for the wrong thing. :nottalking:

Legally I dont know. But common sense wise I wouldnt call or tell anyone about it. It could only hurt at this point.

The real question is why didnt she know the right amount? Sounds like my (ex) wife.

i mostly play things that don't require those buttons, or i can map them to something that isn't used as often. diablo is probably my favorite game to remote play. since i can map a buff to r2, and rarely have to use it.

mine has used the back touchscreen from the start, but i can't remember if there were settings for it. i imagine there are somewhere if yours is reversed.

But under the new law having 16 or more cats will only cost you $150 a year! Who wouldn't take advantage of this deal?

Depends on how big of a discrepancy. I'm assuming she over-estimated salaries. If she underestimated it doesn't really matter if it was already approved.

Honestly, if it was approved without them asking for proof of income, then you're probably fine. I don't think we hardly ever asked for proof of income on commercial loans (like car loans) unless the loan was for $40K or more. Maybe once in a while we'd ask if the credit history was really bad or non-existent.

I told her to wait until we checked our W-2 the following day, but she was too eager and proud that she took initiative with it.

No idea how far off it was, but the number she put in was higher.

She took a new position last year, so she didnt quite know what to expect. Kinda pissed me off she didnt wait like I asked her too, now she wants me to clean up her mess.

Wives, amirite?

I think by the sdk it's defined per game if you can believe it. Some games are nice enough to even show the rp controls when you connect/start a game via vita (assassins creed comes to mind). But yeah, rear touch screen doesn't HAVE to be L2/R2 even though it often is.

That said, it can be a pain in the ass. I've gotten used to it more or less, but it certainly makes some games harder to play.

Because it wasn't the Best at falling short of expectations PS4 game of 2014 or Best implementation of tedium in a PS4 game of 2014.
Isn't it the best at both of those, though? There just aren't enough other nominees for those categories.

At least according to Google, you might want to be a bit more worried.

Inflating Income
You can be found guilty of committing fraud if you lie about your income on a credit application. Giving false information to obtain credit or a loan can get you into both financial and legal trouble. If you inflate the value of your assets or state that you have an income higher than you do, you could face criminal charges, especially if you default on the loan. The punishment for falsifying information if convicted can involve jail time and payment of fines.

Depends on the game, a lot of games have their own mapping for vita remote play.

shadows of mordor does not and no way to remap, so its horrible on remote play from what I gather as r2 doesnt automatically remap to r1 on the vita.

Wellllllll shit.
Word to the wise, never admit to doing something wrong, even if by accident. Once she completed the form and it was approved, I wouldnt have even looked at it.

Then at least you could say it was an accident and:

Feigning ignorance may still be your best bet at this point. Just make sure you don't miss payments and all that jazz, and you should be fine. I might have missed it, but how much over did she put down? I would think within $2K, you probably should be fine, but I say this with no knowledge of lending money.

Well yeah, lying on any sort of loan documentation (or legal document) is illegal.

Like I said, it depends on the discrepancy and value of the car. If you're financing $6000 for an old Tercel don't worry about it. If you're getting a $65k BMW then and you over estimated your income by a few thousand per month then get it fixed.

But even then, you're wife didn't lie about her income. She miscalculated it. That's not illegal.

Call them and let them know since that's probably what you're going to do anyway.  Then let us know whether they sound grateful for you fixing the error or they just make it sound like a hassle.

I assure you the bank is not looking for a reason to cancel the loan.  They will do everything they can to make sure it still goes through.  Partially because it's a vehicle loan and it's so easy to collect on.  People don't pay, they can just go take it.  Much simpler than foreclosing a mortgage or collecting on CC debt.

I would not call them.  Again, no harm, no foul.  If you stop paying on it they will just repo the car anyway.  And it would only be worth prosecuting you if you bought a high priced vehicle.  No offense, but if you didnt know what you were getting paid then it doesnt sound like you make 6 figures or anything and your a CAG so I would suspect you bought a sensibly priced car within your budget.

I have no idea. Ive been trying to find those numbers on the website, but am having no luck. im confident that making payment wont be an issue, i just dont want a surprise check and things spiral from there.

You mentioned W-2 and website, why? Did the form ask for your last years net or something? If it just asked for your income you should look at your most recent paycheck stubs and multiply the number by 24 or 26 or 52 depending on how often you get paid.

Also, it is far from a high end car. Just requested a 20,000 loan, and i doubt the car my wife is eyeing goes over that, especially with a down payment.

Oh wait... this is just a pre-approval for a dollar amount window and not the actual car loan? I would not be worried at all about changing the information for that.

Yeah, it asked for income. We dont receive our stubs as our checks are direct deposit, but where we go to check our stubs I dont have a direct link for at home (as I just check it at work).

She was impatient and didnt want to wait a day, even if we wont actually get the car (shooting for) another week.

Yeah if it's a pre-approval then it doesn't matter at all.  They'll verify your income later, maybe.  That's the part where if you lie you've broken the law.
